We don't have many places to ride around here either. I know of one road with an actual bike lane but you have to drive to get to it..lol

I've done that, too. The greenway video I made was a park-and-ride.

Thanks for making good videos about the RadCity. I read your blog about the decision process you used to determine what type of bike to get. I just turned 66 and don't need to worry about sweating and commuting. I've always loved biking but have not really been on one for probably 15 years. The idea of taking one on camping trips; Going to Wally World to pick a a few things; Getting some good exercise for my knees and cardio; Saving some money; Maybe help save the Earth; And just plain having some fun, has me kind of excited about getting the RadCity.
I also like hiking when I go camping. Maybe you could try your hand at doing an easy/medium off road bike trail video review on one of your camping trips. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. By the way, your bike almost looks like it's ready to go to Alaska:)

You'll love it. It's a great way to recapture you childhood in a very adult way. I'm not big on trail riding since this is my primary commuting vehicle and I don't want unnecessary downtime due to breakage. I hope I'm ready for Alaska because the temperature is dropping and my morning commutes are going to be very, very cold.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck with your purchase.

I wish Knoxville was more like friendly overall, or at least my area of it. Downtown has bike lanes galore, but I've been dying to ride my bike to work for almost a decade now, but Highway 62 (Oak Ridge Hwy) is a death trap for cyclists.

Yeah. Looking at Google Maps, I'd agree.

Bought mine yesterday (will arrive next week). Good video! Didn't even think about the pants protector...Does your commute have some hills? I will be doing 15miles each way, mostly flat...but some steep hills at the start by home.

Sounds about like my commute. None of my hills are terribly steep. My overall altitude change is about 152 meters, but it's fairly gradual. I have a couple that seem to never end, but there's only one steep, short climb on the way in. I use MapMyFitness from UnderArmor to track my rides, but there are dozen of apps that will do the same. You're going to need to take your charger with you or get a 2nd charger to keep at work (I did the latter). 15 miles one-way won't leave you enough to get back. Without at least PAS1, the bike is a breast to get going from a dead stop. You don't want to run out of juice.
I also had to break out a spoke wrench and true up my front wheel and back off the front brake to keep it from dragging the pads. I'm not sure if it was shipping damage or factory screw up. I've seen other unboxings that had the exact same shipping damage as I did. It was right on the D in RAD which is the front wheel.
      Happy riding!

Thank you and 10-4. I did buy an extra charger when I ordered thinking I would need to juice it up during the day, so advice taken! Will check it out and tinker a bit when it comes too. Supposed to be 135ft of elevation change (down going to work and up going back home).

I have the radwagon and have gotten 36miles on a charge using pedal assist modes 2 and 3. I have lots of steep hills out here. How is your range now that you adjusted your brakes?

Peaceful Prepper I've never run the battery all the way down, but I haven't pushed beyond 20 miles either.

did messing with the computer help your top speed?

Big R You can max it out at 40 kph via the setup. Truing the wheel and tightening some loose disc retention screws also helped. I'm running about 23 mph top now on the flats.
