Westerner here and I've always thought that it's very apparent just like western opera they are all beautiful forms of plays and everyone that has a love for it would see so
I guess that’s what made it fun. Western operas are more focus of the way they sing and expressions. Chinese opera focus on movement like foot works, martial arts, singing, and expression. But in my opinion western singing is much more interesting. It’s just that park and bark style made me feel boring sometimes. 😂
Peking Opera is the most representative of all the regional operas. It was performed before the Emperors , intellectuals and martial officers. It represents the ancient China and Chinese culture in artistic form, embracing singing dancing martial arts acrobatics and even silent movements. All the scripts contain the most cherished moral values like loyalty, filial piety, righteousness, bravery, upright integrity, etc in the Confucius or Buddhist virtues
The costuming is so beautiful, and they way they worked around singers needing full range of their face so they just have hair on wire to represent beards is so brilliant and campy
I just happened to be see a reel about a Chinese woman singing opera and i wanted to hear more so i just hopped onto RUclips to check it out and honestly its this is so interesting and unique because i have never seen this part of China before and its really interesting learning about their culture!

中国传统音乐里面严重缺少低音部，所以大部分的中国传统戏剧都是高音调的。
这个问题到现在也没有解决，很多中国传统音乐不得不借助西方的大提琴补充低音部

去年有幸在国家大剧院现场听了迟小秋大师的《锁麟囊》，简直不要太震撼！没想到在这个视频中又看到了，唱得是真的棒
拍案叫绝，尤其是迟老师，唱的感觉比年轻时候更加有味道了，不自觉听了很多遍
非常認同^^
程派在一片高亮的嗓音之中特色更加凸显，自成一格如怨如慕如泣如诉的风韵，太美了
