Hi all! I tried this kheer today, halved the quantities however. My parents were wondering what I was upto when I said I wasn't going to use Ghee/Milk/Sugar. After making this, and refrigerating it for sometime, served it with the same toppings as mentioned. My mother simply LOVED it. It's a must try for all of us. You won't even feel heavy after such desserts. That's the best part! All in all, for those of you in doubt, please try the kheer. You'll surely like it. PS: Since I don't have such a high-tech blender, I had to first make a paste of the almonds, then add water and then the jaggery etc. The quinoa needs attention while being cooked in the mud pot. In my case, it seemed to get stuck when I immediately realised and turned off the stove. So keep an eye on it. In total, lovely recipe.

add coriander, green chilly and salt & grind again to make chutney
@@surbhiladdha21 its a very good idea.
But my question again is will that chutney taste good? As i have tasted that coconut leftover and it taste bland. So i think chutney would not get the taste.
Have you tried it? Please share your experience.
Thank you for sharing your idea.
yes..since all juices & flavours of cocnut have been extracted, that would not taste like coconut chutney, but it would add thickness to the green chutney. also u can use leftover fibers in gravies of aloo or chana or chhole or might be to anything u would like to

Keeping it in fridge for half an hour doesn’t make that big of a difference. It is when you are keeping it for hours and then reheating it.

Badam bohot costly hote he😭😭😭😭
But it is less costly than nonveg... 500₹ kg red meat which normaly ppl eat in 1-2 days..... Just an example...
@@poonamw26 Exactly. These people complaining and spreading negative comments will spend 500-600 on non veg food but when it comes to nuts they will act like it's the end of the world. Almonds are around 600-700 per kg and if you buy it once, it takes around 3-4 months to finish it completely.
You can use peanuts
SERIOUSLY "QUINOA",IT IS FORIEGN TO INDIANS. SATVIK QUINOA😂😂
Use wheat Dalia. I am sure that's going to taste delicious too!
@@Aleyah YASS! DALIA ALWAYS RECOMMEND
wheat too is not so Indian and not even healthy ...
colonial europeans promoted wheat - bcos the numerous varieties of healthy Indian millets and rice do not grow in Europe.
@@anannyapearl9720 Did u get this information from a journal, please do some research and then justify. There are different varieties of wheat,INDIANS ALWAYS USED WHEAT BEFORE THE EU EVEN INTRODUCED THEIR PRODUCTS,ALL THIS IS A MARKETING GIMIC
Hmm yes that's how they dismiss all healthful traditions .. call it "gimmick"
Thankfully in my part of India wheat never became "tradition" even after colonisation .. Until tv & internet arrived on the scene 1990 onwards .. to introduce wheat to the new generation 😐
btw kindly do not tell people not known to you to "do some research". Rude behavior has never been acceptable in any tradition surely 😂
Thank you so much... Kenua ki jagah kuch sur le sakte hai...
Woow thank u so much I wil definitely use this receipe for my family healthy and tasty
