    .
    Here's my take at the overworld theme from the NES classic Super Mario Bros. This is for the diatonic (blues) harmonica I had great fun making this video and hope you'll have as much fun watching & playing along. If you do, don't forget to give me a thumbs up & subscribe to my channel.
    .
    I'm using a Hohner Marine Band Crossover in the key of C.
    .
    The version in this video is for advanced players that have good command of bends & overblows.
    .
    Here's an easier (slightly modified) version for the higher register:
    .
    8 8 8 7 8 9 6
    7 6 5 -6 -7 -6 -6' 6 7 8 -10 -9 9 8 7 -8 -7 (x2)
    9 9' -9 8' 8 6 -6 7 -6 7 -8
    9 9' -9 8' 8 10 10 10 10
    9 9' -9 8' 8 6 -6 7 -6 7 -8 8' -8 7
    7 7 7 7 -8 8 7 -6 6
    7 7 7 7 -8 8
    7 7 7 7 -8 8 7 -6 6 8 8 8 7 8 9 6
    8 7 6 -6' -6 -9 -9 -6 -7 -10 -10 -10 -10 9 -9 8 7 -6 6
    8 7 6 -6' -6 -9 -9 -6 -7 -9 -9 -9 -9 8 -8 7 6 5 4
    .
    Have fun!

    omg...by coincidence i was just trying to figure out on my own on how to play this by ear on my own harmonica...but got frustrated and looked up a youtube video to fill in the blanks i couldn't figure out. also, i may have a slight problem, since mine is a double harmonica....and i don't know harmonica tab...although i know guitar tab and sorta know sheet music XD

      @@pex_the_unalivedrunk6785 Hey, welcome to the channel :) This tune can't be played on a double harmonica. You either need a chromatic harmonica or a blues harmonica and 5+ years of practice 😅
      You'll find that harmonica tabs are very easy to read once you've gotten used to them.
      Happy harping!

    You smashed that Tommy, recently bought a cheap harmonica for me and my son to play with. Great video maybe I’ll learn this soon. 🫶

      Yeah, they're not easy to master, still working on it myself :) Also, they're not for everyone's taste I guess.

    • @tommyharmonika
      @tommyharmonika  11 месяцев назад

      Any diatonic harmonica can do this if you master the bends & overblows. On a Bb, it will simply sound a little lower

    Bro I don't get it what is -3" and -3'

    • @tommyharmonika
      @tommyharmonika  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey Alex, those are bends. The -3' means you bend the note -3 down half a step, whereas -3" means you bend it down a full step.

      Hi, the ' means a half step bend. So for -3', you bend down the -3 a half tone.
