Hi Yuki, it’s been a great run now that it has to come to this. I’ll probably slowly transit to Kronos or just quit in general. This announcement is just disappointing. I’m about to liberate next month and expected nothing. Impossible to feel worse at this point but playpark actually topped themselves again. All the best in your journeys ahead. Great video, thanks for speaking up Yukie. The issue in Maplestory SEA is the combination of exorbitant cube costs and enormous time commitment to level for end-game bossing and fragment farming, which is unrealistic for most working adults who typically lack having both time and financial resources. If not for nostalgia and Covid19 happening, MapleSEA wouldn't have seen so many return players. Over the past year, seeing each update’s deviation from KMS has discouraged friends and me from spending on Maple, as we’re merely third class players. The frequent ban waves on botters, resulting in well-funded friends quitting has been utterly demoralizing to say the least. And with the recent update on meso cap and unreleased meso cubes, I think it’s no longer worth spending on the game - and honestly, it never was
They're organising an event soon In Malaysia next month. Hopefully somebody go and voice it out there to get the attention of nexon korea/asiasoft directly.
Thank you for your short and succint video on the current problems. Playpark just went from player centric and experience in the past to “Just make sure we do things that benefits us best albeit it will be a short term gain, the players will continue to throw money to us”. None of our rollbacks are ever getting compensated , missing items getting ignored , even the recent patch shows how minimal effort they are putting in to just import content from other servers (wrongly naming your players server pfft)… Had to even re release I Gacha after ages to earn more money while not addressing the real underlying issue.. Thanks for speaking up on behalf of the players Yukieee, hoping that this will cause the company to catch some fire and realise wtf they were doing
All of it is straight to the point , try switching the @cash rate to MYR and you can hear we Malaysian crying . Regarding the sol erda fragment from the design standpoint , it will become easier to obtain when more skills is added probably from event shop , just like the vmatrix *Copium.
Maplesea has been showing red flags like yrs ago but I love how most people only start feeling disappointed like moments ago. Very high chance due to they still sticking to milking the oblivious players keep throwing money. There’s a saying: if something isn’t broken don’t fix it, and I think maplesea did a great job of it. But Ngl it’s kind of fun to see ppl being sad for low frags drop when I was getting 6-8 frags during doing grandis dailies. Since asiasoft’s published games tend to have desire censorship. Meaning the more you want it, the less likely u will get it. But yuki thx for voicing out

As for cubes pity system, price, and meso cube, my view is that unfortunately PP office is in SG where by most companies in general are profit minded, hence, they did not introduce those so that they can stay rather more profitable if we players are in disadvantage of the cube system and continue to buy cubes to progress.
Worth pointing out that the prices are in SGD. Pricing and rates are bad enough, can you imagine also losing money to exchange rate for anyone living outside of Singapore?
I hate it, when cube tier up rates and gachapon pull rates is not publicly disclosed, yes, there is no law to govern this, but MSEA spenders are literally just blind spending whereas KMS and GMS have shown rates, why Playpark cannot be more transparent to players? Yeah, being a legitimate player is very exhausting, there is so much temptation to resort to bot(easily available) but is against ToS. I believe there is many ways to monetize the game, like an Auto Combat system(adopted from Maplestory M) potentially creating regulated "botting" legally with cash item that allows it, subscription-based membership for exclusive maps for higher spawn maps(adapted from frenzy totems) but Playpark just wants to use torture us players with a "hard" mode.
I knew it's screwed to play MSEA any further last year and went to GMS reboot. Here's something, it's about 1.5 years in reboot and it out perform everything I work for about 5 years in MSEA. (CSlime/CGloom at GMS-Reboot, NLucid/EWill at MSEA) If Asiasoft have made at least cubing to be mesos base, it will be quite ideal for some players to return.
@@Ayou0811 I don't grind much (1hour per day at most) and I still way ahead from MSEA Journey. Able to grind is definitely a good way to be ahead. But bulk of the mesos is from bossing anyway. 1 week is about 2bil per character for you to upgrade which is at least much more bearable then what MSEA is offering.

Msea or any regular server is for those who values time more than money so they can just straight up buy the equipments they seek. Probably use the supposed grinding time to make more real money irl idk lol It will take quite awhile to finish setting up all your bossing mules. You need links/level/symbols/nodes/legion/gear. And none of those are tradeable, you have to find a way to get them on your own.
wait what math did you use to average out the amount of cubes needed to tier up? if i use geometric distribution, its 35 cubes on average to tier up. if i use binomial distribution at 2% chance with 2000 tries, i get around 39-40 successes or around 50 cubes average to tier up. how did you get 64.2 cubes on average to tier up?
Binomial distribution wouldn’t be as accurate as we’re under the assumption of “unlimited attempts” and the value differs then. Im wondering how did you also get 35 via geometric distribution because i’m sure that’s what he used.

(1 - 0.02)^x = 0.5 log(0.98)^x = log(0.5) x * log(0.98) = log(0.5) x = log(0.5) / log(0.98) x = 34.3096 i rounded it to 35 to get a more "worse case" estimate. maybe 34 is more accurate. not too sure if this is correct since i mostly learn these myself.
Its a combined value of "epic -> unique" + "unique -> legendary" We can use yellow cubes ("master craftsman cubes") for epic -> unique for normal pot though but for add pot theres no such option
But anyway thats assuming we didnt get any of the kms cube rate buffs (the 2 lines about increasing tier up rate were deliberately left out from patch notes, twice) And then pity system which is responsible for 22% of tier ups in kms in non-DMT (5% during DMT) is missing, making KMS having effectively almost x1.8 tier up during non-DMT and almost x1.5 during DMT compared to msea (assuming msea is still at 1% / 0.5% for unique -> legendary normal / add pot respectively)
i even has suspicion the recent changes to 2 player max per authentic map instanced map and the 1k mob requirement so botter can farm easily without interference
Not forgetting the mesos we earn from Weekly Bosses is alot times lower than other GMS. For the pity system it is unless the Government voice out and do something able it or it will never happen.

Your new players or some players who depend on ursus and not yet able to do Epic High Mountain can do what? Also Epic High Mountain give you 2 coins and the valuations are 35m per coins plus minus. So in a week u earn 70m plus minus without spending cash ? Ursus gave us 150m plus minus in a week. From 650m (Ursus) downgraded to 300m (EHM) (unless u very rich fcking whale spend acash every week). How is that called a fair comparison? So going forward we have to play 5-10 mules for bossing? Is this a game or a job now? Casual players like myself also wan to just do dailies and be done with it. Now got stupid 3k mobs dailies, 5k guild weeklies and 6th job progression with authenthic symbols till carcion, and then coupled with EQ needs to be 22-23SF then only can one play. And dont forget flames, potentials and add pot. This year is looking very bleak for maple. No wonder high turn over player base. Even new players will just puke when they realize what we old players have to go through. The real problem is not mesos itself but the whole game itself is the problem. Party play with friends you also penalize by making everyone poor by sharing boss mesos to become so measly. This is regular server, can answer why some eq need to be untradeable when boss drops like hmag cape? regular server not trading is encourage meh? everybody knows in order to progress you have to somehow buy mesos or fork up a large sum of cash to just be able to complete some 22-23 sets. This game is a joke for what it is now. Says listening to players, but i think the dev never play the game everyday and see how progression it is for normal casual players, and or hardcore players. Even with a whole team of DR 200%-300% gears your boss drop rate for hard/chaos boss are a joke in your face. Whole year 1 fantasy belt ?1 commandeer force earing ? 1 Curse will book ? Who the hell can wait so many tries to get 1. Going forward everyone now need Mesos Rate because of mesos cap. As you all can tell. The game itself is a problem. Ive been hosting ursus for many years and i will retire on May 28. I will see the game progression, if its not looking good its time to really stop. As a former GMS player, i can say that MSEA is really not F2P friendly at all. is not. the amount of free stuff GMS gives to players is insane. where as for MSEA, no free dmg skin storage or beauty hair/ eyes storage. Also the mileage shop is just sad here in MSEA. 3 cubes per month. GMS got 5 red and 5 black from the mileage but no bpot cube like KMS has. What Niru said about GMS reg server is the same kinda happening in MSEA but worst. Yes PLAYPARK DID force the players to bot for frags just to progress in the game. Drop rate is ridiculous low even with max DR coming from you doing the maths. is just BS. Why is there no Reboot/Heroic servers in MSEA? Not many people can afford to pay for cubes and would spend more time progressing than paying to progress… Also economy wouldn’t exist meaning less bots since people cannot trade.
Supposedly cause it doesnt generate $ for playpark hmm But then, kms monetisation is now basically baiting f2p to sell their mesos to buy those overpriced packages (49.9k event passes x4 = 199.6k maple points which is like 7b mesos) Which in msea, the same 199.6k would cost around 40b mesos and from what we see, msea pretty much never reduce prices from kms prices Except that the effort to earn mesos are around the same so it just means that msea player needs to put in x6 the effort to get the same things, while in kms they can get it with x1 effort and the remaining x5 effort can be used to upgrade other things (progressing further than msea players)
It’s unfathomable why MSEA implement meso changes but exclude mesos cubes, it’s a death sentence to F2P players, there’s really no point to play a game that’s trying to screw F2P players over and over again.

Depends. Reboot rewards people who grinded alot. Some people who dont have much time to grind is not gonna do super well in reboot.

And I used 250 choice cubes to tier a single piece of item from cash shop during DMT

What Niru said about GMS reg server is the same kinda happening in MSEA but worst. Yes PLAYPARK DID force the players to bot for frags just to progress in the game. Drop rate is ridiculous low even with max DR coming from you doing the maths. is just BS.

Why is there no Reboot/Heroic servers in MSEA? Not many people can afford to pay for cubes and would spend more time progressing than paying to progress… Also economy wouldn’t exist meaning less bots since people cannot trade.

But then, kms monetisation is now basically baiting f2p to sell their mesos to buy those overpriced packages (49.9k event passes x4 = 199.6k maple points which is like 7b mesos)
Which in msea, the same 199.6k would cost around 40b mesos and from what we see, msea pretty much never reduce prices from kms prices
Except that the effort to earn mesos are around the same so it just means that msea player needs to put in x6 the effort to get the same things, while in kms they can get it with x1 effort and the remaining x5 effort can be used to upgrade other things (progressing further than msea players)
It’s unfathomable why MSEA implement meso changes but exclude mesos cubes, it’s a death sentence to F2P players, there’s really no point to play a game that’s trying to screw F2P players over and over again.
not to mention msea missing out on gollux and commerci, i think it's time to migrate
