i cant wait for the canon version of this, you dont find thses types for vids on youtube that show us camera that are that cheap, they always tell us camera for like 500 and 800 but your vids help me A TON
60i in a5000 is 1080p 30 in 60i container. You can test this by importing it in Premiere pro or somerhing like media info. It never says anything about 60i and it looks just like 30p even on crt monitor. And no 60i and 30p are not always same stuff. Because some older cameras even NEX ones records 60i as 60 fps that looks proper if you convert them to 60p. Problem then is that they loose half of vertical resolution. Sony did this probably because of better compatibility with bluray standard more resolution while saving little bit of bandwidth too. I wish that they impemented XAVC-S but this camera was quickly replaced with a5100 so they probably thouth that owners of a5000 wouldnt care or dare to update firmware anyways.
Why can't there be camera reviews that show, oh idk, PICTURE QUALITY!! I hate that every camera review focuses on video because the age of RUclips. I want to take pics. Could give a crap about video.
Steven, I discovered your channel by chance as I was looking for information on the Canon EOS 1D, and I've started watching many of your videos. I like your content a lot. This short, concise camera/lens review format is spot-on, your videos have rhythm and they're well edited. I cannot believe you don't even have 4,000 subscribers. You definitely deserve more. Cheers! -Rick
Please do more video on Nex-5r + Sigma 1.4 primes. Classic body paired with modern lenses instead of the usual modern body paired with legacy lens. Also, if you are vlogging on the Nex-5r with the kit lens, I find out the Google Photos stabilization turns out very good, just need to import camera footage to phone and then let the Google Photos stabilize it.
4:34 mine also has some annoying issue with the record button. you either push it real hard or you will just miss whatever moment you want to record immediately
Canon M100 or Sony Nex 5R. Which do you think is better as a starting point? I try to think in the long term, going into a system, maybe getting a better camera in a year or two, and isn´t clear for me if is better to go with Sony or Canon. With Canon and adapters you have A LOT of cheap good lenses with autofocus, fully compatible, old EF and EFS lenses works in M line and RF line. With Sony is more a problem to get good lenses in the cheap, only cheap lenses are fully manual ones. what do you think? I cannot decide, help please! :)
Why Why Why does everyone compare the NEX-5R to a A6000. They are not even in the same class of camera. A NEX-7 is the most comparable camera. They are more similiar in price, both have a viewfinder unlike the 5R and both have the same 24.3 MP.
One omitted feature that made me hate the a6000 that is present on the a5000 and Nex 5R is the digital level. IMHO it might seem like a small thing but its such a major quality of life difference. Also I think we should remember that none of these cameras were designed with video in mind. The era when these were made was a time where no-one considered using these primarily for video. These are stills cameras first and foremost, video was an afterthought. The autofocus on the Nex 5R is definitely worse than the A6000 but its much closer to it than the a5000. As a long time Sony user (nex 5r, a6000, A7R m1, A7R IV as well as Rx100 m1 and M4) IMHO the AF noticeably slower but good enough and for landscape/slower subjects its pretty damn close to the a6000. The a5000 AF is trash by comparison. Another camera to consider is the a5100. Which is great option if you want the a6000 specs with a smaller Nex3/Nex5 size body.
It’s a good camera, it’s just not as good as the other two. The biggest problem is the overheating, but other than that, the video from it looks good and the flip up screen is great.
@@kamufebri Well, the truth is that I am not at all dissatisfied with this camera, although watching this video, it seems that I chose the wrong model. The a5000 has been very useful to me all these years, and it still is. It's very practical as a travel camera: lightweight, easy to handle, and with more than decent image quality. I have affection for it.
Where are you guys finding sony a6000's for 300.00.
Theses videos considerably increase their prices, through their research unfortunately, supply and demand
I almost bought the A5000 instead of 5R until I saw this video! Thanks man

*The NEX seems to give pleasing skin tones much like a Canon.*
A5000 for 24p video looks great, i like that

Yes, that’s totally what I’m talking about. I always wondered if it was just my camera that did that. Good to know!
У меня кнопка записи работает нормально. Нажал , пошла запись, нажал еще - стоп.

Love my a6000 :)
About the heat how about Sony a5100 is it heat as a5000?
Sony managed to fix the over-heating problem with the A5100. It’s not as bad as the A5000.
I guess I'll be getting the 5r since I can only afford vintage lenses lmao
Without the 180 flip screen, can the monitor of the a6000 be transferred to the phone with the use of the sony app?

If I could search your channel by keyword I would, so forgive me for asking, but have you reviewed the NEX-7? :)
Thank you!
can you share lens use ???
NEX5r for photos, use smartphone for video.. the A6000 and A5000 are just priced too much now.
Keep it up pal
What about Sony nex-5n??
which camera he used for this video?
Hi! Do you recommend me the sony nex 5n or nikon d5100 for video? Thanks!
Where can I by a sony nex 5r
There tree different gens of sensor and AF system, compare it it's hard to be honest)))...
Just bought an EF adapter for my 5r.
I definitely need to try that. I’ve got a lot of Canon lenses that I’d like to see on these Sony cameras.
Is the a5000 really that bad I was playing on purchasing it

What lense do you recommend for the NEX 5R?
Sigma 30mm 1.4
