  • Hi friends! It's an honor to finally be sharing my birth vlog with you in which we bring little Ivy Grace into the world! Giving birth was the most empowering, challenging, and rewarding experience of my whole life. This is very vulnerable for me to share, but I hope that doing so will inspire and encourage other women to embrace their own strength and serve as a resource for those also wanting to have an unmedicated/natural birth. I'm incredibly grateful for the AMAZING support team including the nurses, midwives, and of course my sweet husband that got me through labor! I could not have done it without them. This is my first baby, so I prepared extensively, both mentally and physically, for an unmedicated labor and delivery, and was incredibly blessed that the process followed my birth plan so well. My birth experience was overwhelmingly positive and was a calm, gentle, and empowering experience that I dreamed of. For all the in depth details, stay tuned for my full birth story video!
    I went into spontaneous labor at 39 weeks and 2 days on February 18th, 2021. It began with mild contractions and my water breaking, I then had a relatively quick but intense, unmedicated labor and our daughter was born at 12:36pm. I worked with registered nurse midwives and delivered at a birth center. Please leave any questions in the comment section down below! And as always, be kind!
    Thank you to everyone that has followed along on my pregnancy journey and been so very supportive. I hope you will continue to watch as we journey into motherhood!

    Fantastic team in there. They were FOR you and the birth you wanted and earned. You were a hero in their eyes that day because they see ALL KINDS up there. From primal shrieks to full blown control, and everything in between. You, in your most desperate and vulnerable moment, stayed as sweet as can be, and not even relatively quiet! Ultimately quiet!🤯🤯I’ve done this 5x in my life in the late 80’s-early 90’s, and I know the strength it takes to not go full on wild animal kingdom lol😂 The fear can overtake and suddenly you’re off your game, unfocused, overwhelmed, and screaming bloody murder. So this was pretty damned impressive. My oldest is a midwife, my youngest a douala - both mothers of 4 - and I have a total of 16 grandchildren. We’re a family that thoroughly loves, respects, and honors birthing, and you truly are one of the most calm women I’ve seen give birth. The strength you drew from and gained during this process will serve you well as you strive to be the best mother you can be.
    Lastly, I LOVED how you gave words of encouragement and affirmation to your husband as he held her. You are a dream team.

    Watching the tenderness together ❤ shows deep love. Watching daddy pray for safety of baby and mama is tender and asking for help to be a great support. Always bring our Heavenly Father into each day/ night/ experience. Mama did great !

      So true! It's nice to see Dr's and nurses with compassion for laboring women. Mine yelled at me to be quiet and told me I was a baby for crying and yelling. Also had a natural birth.

      Have u seen the birth videos on the channel I think it’s called One Born Every Minute or something like that, it’s these AMAZING midwives somewhere in the UK, its the most incredible and addicting things to watch, seeing how these midwives are there on the ward just like we have nurses and doctors here in the US, I’m so jealous that they have such an incredible system there using these midwives, theyre just soo knowledgeable at what they do of course but I think it’s so addicting and heartwarming to watch because of how GREAT they are with their patients and their families, the kindness and calming presence, always knowing what needs to be done in every single situation and every aspect of labor and delivery!! DEF suggest checking it out if u haven’t before!!
      This chick HERE tho, wow what a freakin trooper, she was incredible to watch when I happened to land on this video by chance lol glad to see it tho!!

      how did it go mama?!

    • @jennagallardo4978
      @jennagallardo4978 3 года назад +17

      @@24amitchell unfortunately… I ended up with preeclampsia so they had to induce me at 37 weeks… well with the pitocin, my contractions were so intense that my blood pressure was extremely high (in the 200/180 highs) and so they really “encouraged” me to get the epidural. I wouldn’t say they forced me but they were pretty admin about it. Then a little while later when I was 8cm I kept feeling like I had to push and when she checked me he kept going up the canal and his heart rate started to drop drastically so I ended up going in for an emergency C section… but nonetheless, I am extremely blessed to have my little man here with me and he’s happy and healthy and so am I. My birth plan went the complete opposite of how I planned it but I’m not even upset because of gorgeous my baby boy is!!! 💙💙
