Blender to Unreal Engine 5 tutorial - Export Material and Mesh
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- In this tutorial, we'll be exploring how to export a baked texture from Blender and import it into Unreal Engine. We'll start by hiding unnecessary meshes in Blender and then use the File, Export feature to save our model as an FBX file.
Next, we'll navigate to Unreal Engine and click on Import to bring our model into the engine. We'll make sure that "Import Textures" is enabled and adjust some settings to get everything looking just right.
Once imported, we'll open up the Material Editor in Unreal Engine and create a new material based on our baked texture. We'll add diffuse, glossy, emission, normal, roughness, and ambient occlusion maps to give our model some depth and realism.
Finally, we'll save our changes and see how everything looks in-game. This tutorial is perfect for anyone looking to bring their Blender creations into Unreal Engine or learn more about the process of exporting textures between different 3D modeling software.

Well spank my ass and call me Maximus, you crazy bastard, you did it! Thank you!
Sadly, I think I suffer from a case of "a character model way too complex for my own good" because what you did in the video is pretty much one of the many workflows I have already tried...
That being said, this is an awesome, concise tutorial as always and I am sure it will be useful to a lot of folks out there.
As for me - back to the drawing board. I'm pretty sure that my retopologized model's UV map is borked and in need of some seams/retopologizing. Cheers!
oh, if you did the retopo after texturing, then yeah, borked. Thank you for the comment though.
personally i skip most of those and use send 2 ue plugin and it does all of that for me so whatever i have in blender gets exprted to unreal with one click with all materials textures etc
Took me by surprise not being a USD/omniverse workflow😝
lol, I’m cool with UE
Do the textures brought in from blender look as good as if they were made in unreal engine from the start? is there much of a difference
Do you have a video on how to condense down Blender shaders into texture files?
Argh - updated the description- thank you lol. How to Bake from High to Low Poly in Blender Beginner Tutorial

@@Markom3D awesome! Thanks a ton!
@@samiam.402 no worries mate, more than welcome
You don't export in FBX, you export in GLTF instead.
Unless you want to keep fixing materials for each object separately.
good reminder, i got a hammer and you saved the pc
u mnie przez niektóre ściany widać, a niektórych nie ma
fxi it never brings in all texture sets its annoying
yeah, all my testing and it just was no lining up, oh well.
How can I do that with model exported from accurig then after importing to UE5 I have not editable materials
