- Hi Everyone
And welcome back to the second part of my mid week wild camp on Hazelhurst Fell in the beautiful Forest of Bowland
Setting the alarm for bright and early it was hoped I would get a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately there was a large cloud bank over to the east blocking the sun. Just as I left the camp spot it started to show its self which you will see from the video. And, by the time I was off the hill it had broke out in to a beautiful morning.
Having to get home to start work, I was undecided as to whether to go back the same way I came up or make it in to a circular route dropping down in to the farmland and a nice gentle stroll through farm tacks and fields.
I decided on the later and I'm sure you will agree I made the correct choice.
At 7.05am I arrived back at the car, and it was just a case of the short 30 minute card drive back home.

Just love that pitch by the Trig👌. What a place to wake up! 🏕. Leave no trace, always 😊👊. Lovely walk back down, rolling hills of Bowland, we really must get our bottoms to this area for an explore sometime. Hope it your next jaunt isn't too far away!

Hi Guys. It was a brilliant spot, although to be fair, it was the only spot. It was either too boggy or too heathery. I got lucky. 🤣
Still there was never anyone else going to come up.

The next adventure was last night. Me and Mossy were out for a camp in the lakes. 😃🥾🏕️⛰

Looks like you’ve been making hay while the sun has been shining, good for you, saw the sign on first part about no dogs allowed, that’s something I saw all the time down in Kerry, Max wouldn’t like that 😂 here they just ask you to keep them on a lead….enjoyed catching up mate, till the next one, all the best,

Haha, I certainly have mate. You’re ok with dogs pretty much all they ask is that you keep them on a lead. It’s because of all the thousands of grouse and the sheep, but mainly the grouse. The place is teaming with them.

@@SalkeldsAdventures Hi guys. That was the sunrise, unfortunately not as good as what was forecast, or not in time before I had to strike camp. I had a brilliant sunset which was in part one. That was as good as they forecast, if not even better.

Yeah not much room for vehicles. When I got there, the dutch one on the left was there. The German one arrived after me. They were sound asleep when I got back. I probably woke them up opening my car doors. 🤣🤣
I had no wind mate, it was flat calm all night. Absolutely brilliant it was, great views.
