  • Produced for the home gauge market, this silent documentary, presumably released in the early 1960s, makes use of numerous bits of 1920s newsreel footage to tell the story of the rise and fall of an American icon, the "Tin Lizzie", aka the Ford Model T.
Existing somewhere between 'puff piece' and 'invaluable archival document', the film is certainly a goldmine if you're into footage of Ford's classic car in action, or looking for '20s newsreel coverage. Highlights include an impressive snow-traversal sequence and the fifteen-millionth Ford Model T rolling off the line, ridden by Henry and Edsel.
It's a little heavy on the title cards, to be sure. No idea if a sound version was ever produced; Given that all the footage used seems to have been shot in the silent era, or shortly after, it's unlikely.

Upload #2 of 'Tin Lizzie'-- Corrected aspect ratio and rendered at double the bitrate of the original + numerous framing tweaks.
