I love how this is not only not the first calculator puzzle game you’ve played, but it also has the most polar opposite vibe from the other one imaginable
If I had a nickel for every calculator game Tyler played, I’d have 2- oh, nope ok wait nevermind word just came in I would actually have 3 nickels now because of the roguelike he just played. Which STILL isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened three times.
He's alive, not the original one, the real Tyler died, he told the editors to clone him for every video and the vacation is a lie, the Tyler cloning machine malfunctioned and gave him a beard
@@trollhimforeverwhy did i read this so dramatically like the person who read it had a deep crispy voice and beard while sat on a tree stump and leaning over a campfire
I noticed a weird quirk in level 43. Tyler found the intended solution which is to use the new button to turn -10 into 10. But to make the -10 in the first place takes a button press. You could alternatively beat that level by pressing the +5 button three times.
I’m so glad he’s playing this! I’ve played through the whole thing a while back. I’ve also played part of the sequel. Also, they’re both free on mobile, but that doesn’t really work great for a video huh?
i was watching this game on the tv, and when tyler got stuck in the "12" puzzle, i ACTUALLY turned around and screamed at my sibling when he got -4. i never felt so called out with the his "the people at home are screaming" comment
That's the best part about these types of puzzle games, there can be multiple solutions and its super funny when you see someone elses solution and how simple it was compared to yours. I always face palm when that happens to me lol.
The fact that Tyler found this after the devil's calculator is weird for me, as I have this one downloaded on my phone from years ago. I think there are like 200 levels. Plus there is even a sequel for this one! I hope he finishes this, it's really fun.
This has the same feel as the Countdown numbers game, where you have 6 different numbers that you can only use once each to get as close as possible to the final number.
So at 11:50 he had the answer, he had -4 on the calculator with 1 move left and there was a x-3 button which would have gotten him to 12, which was the answer he needed Edit: Doing this before anyone tells me that he realized literally like 15 seconds later... I know that now... thanks
I love this one. Been playing it and the sequel for quite a while. I’m only 2 or 3 levels away from finishing the sequel, but I genuinely don’t get the mechanics and can’t find a guide online.
I'd love to see a visual representation of Tylers train of thought. Him thinking quickly is no problem, but just having audio as the main source of input is too difficult for the brain to follow along at that speed. Visual input being way easier and faster to process would give viewers an easier time following along and truly understanding the thoughts at hand.
hey tyler i would LOVE to watch you play "Bombe" its a minesweeper automation game and ever since i have watched others play that game i always thought how you would love it. it asks you to make abstract rules which are then used to solve minesweeper puzzles automatically. then it stops on puzzles that it cant solve yet with only the given rules. so that you only tackle novel puzzles.... there's a lot to that game so if you could consider checking it out, i would be really glad (I'm just a fan of the game)
Hey tyler, have you thought about playing that Portal mod that adds time travel to it? I think it would be a fun variety game/something out of the ordinary, maybe for the patreon so the algorithm doesn't strike it down.
Just a tip for games with similar dimensions as this in the future. You could segment the video in order to have it more horizontal instead of vertical. Hard to explain, but in this case have the buttons positioned to the side of the calculator interface. Just a suggestion of course :)
i love it but its a tad fast for me. can we have steps in the edit pretty please? we rarely have the opportunity to see Tyler's thinking so clearly and math is *the* best tool to show it.
If you hold the solar panel (probably click and hold on the steam version?) on the calculator, clicky fades out of existence just like a real life calculator
i though of a similar game once where you try to get a number with a certain number of moves and any combination of the 4 standard signs addition subtraction multiplication and division. you are given 3 (not necessarily 3) numbers that you can make equations with the numbers and the signs you have. Once you make a new number it gets added to your selection of numbers so you can use it in an equation. You cannot use a number twice in an equation so you can't do 53 + 53 also you can only have 1 sign per equation so you can't do 5 x 3 + 4
I played this game a while ago, and I'm a math student and I'm now realizing that you could probably use graphs to represent the puzzle (not really helpful in solving it but it's neat)
Hey Tyler love ya videos Heres a game sugestion: could you play a small indie puzzle platformer game called moonleap Its quite short but still quite fun from what i seen in the demo!
I love how this is not only not the first calculator puzzle game you’ve played, but it also has the most polar opposite vibe from the other one imaginable
he did play the other one lol
edit: just realized that you said he did lmao
I think it might end up having a similar vibe, depending on what happens when the game "host" escapes after enough puzzles are completed
Bet opposite vibes were intentional.
"not only not" sounds like a double negative but it's not, lmao
You say that, but the sequel...
If I had a nickel for every calculator game Tyler played, I’d have 2- oh, nope ok wait nevermind word just came in I would actually have 3 nickels now because of the roguelike he just played. Which STILL isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened three times.

I just calculated my pants reading this
Wait when?
Never mind round it
Ohgh my god~

i mean the game is barely taking any of the screen
The sequel is awsome but do you know why at a moment you get stuck after getting a late-game button?
I mean Tyler used to play btd6 on his iPad when that game first came out
i was watching this game on the tv, and when tyler got stuck in the "12" puzzle, i ACTUALLY turned around and screamed at my sibling when he got -4. i never felt so called out with the his "the people at home are screaming" comment
Crazy happened to me too
Wha?
Man you’re killer at math. I feel like I wouldn’t have even made it pass the first 5 puzzles
US education system at large
Bruh
The first 5 puzzles are literally tutorial puzzles
8:50 props to which of the editors brought back the red curtain for such a short clip. Best joke of the channel.
9:05 I think they’re trying to get people to use the +/- button but surely +5 +5 +5 x4 just works
That's the best part about these types of puzzle games, there can be multiple solutions and its super funny when you see someone elses solution and how simple it was compared to yours. I always face palm when that happens to me lol.
And to imagine that when you get to the end of this one you could might also consider going for the sequel that goes directly after this storyline :v
With new fun puzzles!

No way they turned Cal Cula Tor into a puzzle game 😮

the game of all time

I am so addicted that I want to program this onto an actual calculator, if I had 300$ for a calculator i totally would.
There are TI-84 emulators and romdumps!
9:05 Tyler went from 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. A bit slower than a Tesla but still a decent speed.
I remembered playing this on my phone a while back. Nice to see you playing it! I would love to see you play more!!!

Yuck, mathematics
Reminds me of programming.
A lot of the special functions are exactly like string operations work.
The edits in this video are top notch
More math games please. Why would you ever think I'm biased.
Meanwhile, heres my family at level 167 with 'Store' 'reverse' '5=>52' buttons

Tyler is just cracked at math and puzzles
Richard watterson would lose his mind over this
just waiting for tyler to start counting in base 7 again
8:52 amazing edit right there
I like to think I'm pretty good with quick maths but when I watch this I realize just got outclassed I can be. Truly a joy to watch.
I LOVE CALCULATOR absolute classic. GREAT time killer. excellent video as always!
I am pretty sure this one predates the other one by several years as i played this on a phone at least as far back as 2019.
the game really gets hard when you go past 120
FINALLY! You're playing this one! I have very good memories of it.
the editor's jokes are gold
it’s tyler, the creator
I love this game! I have played, and finished both the first and second game!
Not Tyler getting one step away from the solution at 11:50 only to miss the mark (I've been there, hurts every time)

I loved this game on mobile. Pretty surprised but happy to see it come out on steam. Simple, but fun brain exerciser
