The story behind the MV is the æ-versions of members and the normal versions of members connect via SYNK, which got destroyed by the black mamba. The black mamba can be thought of like a computer virus. The plot may be about trying to defeat the black mamba and fix the SYNK.
SM doing SMCU so they want to giving a hint for their new project, the woman in the last part is BoA, one of sm's greatest soloists, which will comeback soon.

The group's name, aespa, is a combination of "ae" composed of the English initials of Avatar and Experience (Avatar X Experience), plus the English word "aspect" meaning "two sides", which symbolizes "meeting another self and experiencing new the world".
Description for aespa's debut song :
Story of adventures unrolled upon the realization that 'Black Mamba’ is a threatening existent to the world and a hindrance to the connection of aespa & 'ae', their avatars.
You can see in the MV, suddenly black mamba came to their world. And then karina's eyes change and suddenly move to another scene, I think she is the one who get targeted and get influenced. And after that scene the scene look so dark. And then ae-Karina seems so sad looking to karina but Karina seems so plain and ae-Winter dissappear in the mirror.
And then finally they fight back.
The one at the end, maybe ae-Black Mamba, new member in the future, or someone who will be important role in the next comeback. We dont know.
There is ae with black short hair but we dont know whose. She appear in MY KARINA and their teaser photo, she is on TV. Hmmm.
At the end of video there is someone with Red Dress, She is BoA. Thats a hint for her future comeback. SM did it too for aespa debut at the end MV of NCT U - Make a Wish and SuperM One.

I can see why one would be confused but the one that did that last big high note wasn’t Winter, it was NingNing (in a light purple wig).

I loved Aespa from my very first listen! Incredibly talented. All have great vocals but Winter and Ningning are other level! I can't wait until we get Giselle rapping. She has a beautiful singing voice but she really pops with rapping. I love her lower tone. And Karina has such amazing presence! You can't help but look at her and her dance skills are top level.
