In theory the entire history of AEW thematically is centered on Adam Page attempting to be the champion, falling into despair, learning what it takes to be the man, becoming the man, losing the top spot and going dark try to get it back.
Yeah, when I see and think about his whole story, even including the fact that he was the first to reveal the AEW logo, he really does feel like the main character of the company.

That's a bit of a stretch. If anything, the main character of AEW is Kenny Omega. The company was really built off of his tenure as leader of Bullet Club in NJPW and Hangman's story was tied to Kenny's downfall in AEW due to being mentally disconnected since he left Japan.

This definitely feels like a country-like song about a broken cowboy feeling betrayed by everyone who's supported him and going in a different direction from the cowboy code. Instead of wearing a brown cowboy hat, he'd exchanged it for a black cowboy hat. Great theme by Vincent Pedulla

Hangman came out the babyface tunnel. In his mind (and reality) he hasn't actually done anything wrong. Think about it Swerve broke into his house and cut a promo on his BABY. The fact that the AEW audience still chose Swerve in that rivalry is everything wrong with pro wrestling fans. "Oh Nana gonna do the little funny dance" hehe "oh who's house, swerve's house"" hehe. Like I enjoy Swerve as an act, but Hangman was the correct man to be routing for in that feud, and thinking anything else your moral compass sucks.

Swerve is a baby-face, but still does pretty heinous things, only he switched his targets. Hangman is the morally justified heel who was wronged by said baby-face yet the crowd turned against him unjustly
