Thanks for posting. This video was really interesting. I've been going to this park since I was a kid, and I've never seen this much unfinished construction while open to the public. From the looks of things, 2024 is gonna be a transition year, but I'm cautiously optimistic that there will be some major additions in 2025 & 2026 for the 50th Anniversary. Sky Striker is defintely going to be a much needed and popular ride for the park, but I fear it won't open until June or July at this point. Perhaps this is a bit of an ambitious prediction, but I think we may see 2 new coasters within the next 3 years. Maxx Force was 2019. There hasn't really been a high capacity thrill coaster added since X-Flight. I'm thinking a B&M Dive Coaster and perhaps an RMC Single Rail coaster could open in time for the 50th. If not 2 coasters, a revamp of the area by American Eagle and Sky Striker with some cool flat rides & family friendly attractions could show up instead of a RMC, and a Massive Dive or perhaps a Giga could be in the cards for the 2026 anniversary year. Considering this is one of the chain's most popular and well attended parks, I hope it starts getting the love it deserves, especially if the Cedar Fair / Six Flags merger happens.
Opening day was really good despite the weather. Glad to hear a lot of the original music playing in carousel plaza, xflight , and demon. Really like that the park is updating the entrance and even made the shortcut into Orleans Place. Food lines were unfortunately bad due to the park getting used to a new POS system, hopefully they can figure it out and get it organized soon. Very excited for sky striker and to see what happens to the rest of the park currently under construction.
I'm stoked they brought the music back to x flight! I saw in one of the fb groups that the music in carousel plaza is actually a digital remaster of the original marriott tapes from opening day, so that's what was playing there in 1976!

I went a an hour ago and on sky trek and I saw myself on batman front row, I was praying I would see you lol, also the retrack on viper makes the airtime and laterels go CRAZY. it is so much more enjoyable though!! I love your contend so so much and I am so hoping you go next week for a new update!
From the looks of all the construction and rides not running, we might take a pass this season and wait until next year....hopefully the improvements will be great! Thanks for sharing.
Ride lineup seems to be significantly improved from last year. I think if you came to the park mid summer, most if not everything will be operating and the construction will be complete
Side of the building at @2:24 looks whack. Was never designed to be viewed from that angle. They need to wrap that in some landscaping. At the very least! Put a giant new orleans style wrot iron balcony on that side too and have bugs and the looney toons characters wave from up there. Set up a meet and greet zone or paint a mural. Somethinggg. Also all the buildings so far on that side are beige. The major fscility on that side is a bathroom which is supposed to be hidden from view. You dont want too much visibility for that and the work theyve done here made it easier to find but also caused this design issue

great coverage on the park today dude I feel like they are going to keep the flag poles or get new ones to add along the gates and add one that says six flags great americal on it for the new entrance plaza of the park the front gate rest roos looks actually alot better then before I kinda like it. I hope to make it out to the park this mouth or next mouth to see it for my self there is alot of work that needs to be done but with whether we're having that might push things back bit but we'll say.
SFGAm really thought that Sky Striker would be completed by opening day only to find out that nothing has been done. Huge disappointment. SFGAdv made a lot of progress for Flash but having footers while SFOG catches up on them by installing footers for GA Surfer
They will get the second train up by summer. From what I have heard, the x flight crew always does this at the beginning of the season since there is newer staff and they don’t want to overwhelm them
Seems like a lot of single rider lines disappeared. The took away the single rider line from Justice League at Six Flags St. Louis, it is now the flash pass line.
This park is a messss. That front entrance. I am sincerely upset. What is happening. Same with county fair. But i love the carousel music in carousel plaza. Cautiously optimistic that they are going to get the place cleaned up in time for their 50th. But a lot of the park could use work.
I am shocked it looks this bad and is open to the public, but I think it means they are making some major upgrades for the 50th Anniversary. I think a lot of this will at least be somewhat cleaned up by Memorial Day & we will start seeing some massive improvements finished in 2025 & 2026.
@@alexkoehler2001 no I have been checking lines today the worse I have seen was 70 on Xflight (which has 1 train) but raging bull and Superman have been consistently 60 and Goliath and Maxx have been 45
No, it's a permanent thing. People were crossing under the track between the trains and that forced an estop. The way they have the barriers set up now makes that a lot harder to do
I'm sorry but the state of that park is garbage. Marriotts used to keep it so nice, clean, painted, refurbished and inviting. So sad, used to be such a great park.

I painted the Mooseburger over the winter. Was pretty weird being in the park all by myself basically.
Wish I could have been there. Still cant walk from my surgery. American Eagle being closed makes me sad its my 3rd favorite ride there.

They will get the second train up by summer. From what I have heard, the x flight crew always does this at the beginning of the season since there is newer staff and they don’t want to overwhelm them

My guess is shipping / manufacturing delays, the parts didn't show up until a week before the park opened
