    Hi Sharilyn, thanks for the valuable info. Does this airbrush system work well for metallic colors? My current system doesn't like them at all!

      Hi Sue! I actually haven't ever airbrushed metallics! It works great with shimmers, but I don't think that's quite the same thing. It's a great airbrush so I think it would be OK but I can't say for sure.

    May I ask you one other question? I have decided that this is the airbrush kit I am getting. What psi do you set your compressor on to airbrush? Thanks.

      Hi Rachel! I just saw your other question from a week ago about this. So sorry for taking so long to get back to you! It's been so long since I adjusted anything with the psi, but yes, I do remember setting it when I first bought it. I haven't touched it since! I just turned it on and it looks like it's set at 15-20 psi. I hope that helps!

    Hi! How long do you let the airbrush dry? I always seem to have an issue with it smudging on the bag when bagging them up, even when they’ve dried for hours.

    • @SharilynsCookieStudio
      @SharilynsCookieStudio  2 года назад

      Hi Emily! I usually let them dry for a few hours, but you shouldn't even need that long. Before bagging any airbrushed cookies, I always lightly brush over the airbrush color with corn starch. This helps take away any remaining tackiness if there's any. Just don't use too much b/c it can dull the colors if you use too much corn starch. I hope that helps!

    Thank you for reviewing this airbrush machine. I have an Air Genie Pro and I don't like it. It has given me nothing but spotty spray. I have deep cleaned it and done everything suggested and nothing has fixed the spotty spray. I bought it because it had so many great reviews and was designed specifically for cakes and cookies. It has brought me to the point of tears. I had considered the Master Airbrush before I purchased the Air Genie Pro and now I wish I had bought it instead. It looks like even when you sprayed around the edge of a cookie just once that you got a smooth spray without spots. Does it give a smooth even spray, even if you don't go over your sprayed area again? I noticed that the one you linked to comes with a 0.3 mm needle? Do you use that needle for spraying pearls and metallics also? I just want something that has a smooth even spray.

      Hi Rachel! I'm sorry your airbrush hasn't worked well for you! I really do love the one I have. I don't use it a ton, but when I do it does exactly what I need it to do. Yes, the spray is very even and smooth - I always do really light layers so I'll normally go over an area a few times unless I want it REALLY light. And I use that needle for everything: standard colors and metallics/pearls. It works great! I really have zero complaints. If you have any other questions, let me know! :)

      @@SharilynsCookieStudio I do have one more question. Is this airbrush one where you can set the psi you want? If so, what do you set the psi at?

    Hi Sharilyn! I just saw your video and your airbrush technique looks amazing. I got the exact same airbrush but I cannot get the same results on the edge. I don’t know what happened but my airbrush is splashing all over. I cannot control de amount of pressure. I tried the clean the needle, but it didn’t work. Is there any other adjustments. I cannot have the straight thin line that you get. Thank you!

      Hi Marcia! I hate that isn't not working well for you. Have you played around with it anymore and made any progress? I remember when I first got my airbrush I had to really play around with things until I got the pressure that I wanted. I watched videos online that helped a lot. On the nozzle, you should be able to turn the tip to adjust the pressure - have you tried that yet? I'm sorry I'm not more help, but those would be my suggestions on where to start!

      Hi Kathy! Thanks so much! I know what it's like to be a little intimidated by something... right now for me it's my Instant Pot. LOL If you get your airbrush out and use it on some cookies I'd love for you to tag me on Instagram so I can see!

    How do you keep the airbrush from getting on the outside part of the cookie? (The part that wasn't outlined and has no icing near the edge)

    • @SharilynsCookieStudio
      @SharilynsCookieStudio  5 лет назад

      Hi Sarah! I think it just comes with practice. The more you airbrush, the better you are at aiming where you want the color to go. I do think making sure you're aiming the airbrush down instead of at an angle with help. I will sometimes still get color on the edges though. Sometimes it's hard to avoid it completely!
