Lol, but my V2 Nintendo Switch isn't an Xbox nor is it a Steam Link Box which is why I only end up picking it up once every few months when I go on a road trip and just use my Fire Tablet to play my PC Games in bed even though the Switch feels much more natural in my hands
That's not going to happen. Xbox and Playstation need to remain on x86 architecture in order to provide maximum compatibility between ports in order to keep developers happy, as well as maintain users digital libraries via backwards compatibility. That means console releases will always be a generation or so behind current PC hardware at launch, and PC will remain the driver of hardware capabilities. Even the Switch's hardware is largely standardized behind ARM architecture. Long, long, LONG gone are the days of games running custom engines on exotic and innovative console hardware which really had the potential to push the envelope beyond what the rest of the industry was doing.

I love game pass. I have x box series x/ gaming laptop / rogue ally / razor backbone for I phone. I love playing cloud gaming on xpass. Can play any of games on x pass ultimate on all my devices. It’s amazing. Games just continue from where you left off. Fantastic. !

If you need the absolute best yeah go for the series X but honestly the series S is an unsung hero. It’s under 5lbs for easily transport Maybe half the size of a series X for more set up possibilities( also the series can be powered in a car my series x took much power) and it can play all the same games as the series x and you can get them in 1tb now too. It’s about $200 cheaper and basically always more available.

It's Stadia. It'll succeed where Stadia failed because it has the library and will allow you to play games you already own. Not to mention to more storage space problems. And that is why PlayStation was not considered their competitor; they wanted to take on Google and Amazon's positional dominance. They would only dominate if they had the library that Xbox had. But they didn't(Google) and they don't (Amazon Luna)
I’m waiting for the day Amazon acquires a publisher. My guess is they go after EA because he still wants to run the company. They’ll want to include all of those sports games on their I’d bet. If not, Xbox GP will steamroll the market with the games they own.
Switch sales absolutely don't affect Xbox or PlayStation sales. You buy the switch for Mario games and that's about it. You ever tried to play Fortnite at a cinematic 20 some fps on the switch lol. It's a joke.
I believe there are enough die hard fans on both ends that buy blindly but honestly what does PlayStation really hold over Xbox but Grandtourismo even God of war isn't completely PlayStation exclusive anymore. Game pass really can't be beaten.
As an owner of all consoles, I mainly played PS5, Xbox gamepass is ok. But I love to play Horizon, gow, uncharted, last of us, stellar blade, etc. I now mainly play PS5 Pro since it’s the most powerful console. Also the PS controller is light years ahead of Xbox. I been using my Series X lately for Indiana jones.
I love my Xbox X and I still also play on the Xbox 360. for that reason, I do not think upgrading right away is needed until they make an all-in-one type of package of Xbox console with PC capabilities and a handheld.
xbox is setting up to go full 3rd party next gen all they have to do is nail cloud gaming and let partners build their console/pc hybrid and they can exit the hardware next gen. They are almost there.
I agree. Especially now that Lenovo and Asus are going to have Steam devices. Those two companies will have world wide sales, something Valve is still building infrastructure for. Switch 2 will definitely get competition where there once was none.

Yeah I only bought the PS5 to play helldiver's, and the only reason it gets used more is because I don't have a series x, so for games like cod and that's probably it where I want the highest slecs, I'll play on the PS5 till I get my series x, but other than that the series s hasn't had a day off since buying it, it's flown around Australia this year and even had a kilo of sugar poured into the fan(kids aye), I haven't touched the PS5 for weeks now, hell sold my PS portal already even though I use Xbox cloud everyday
Xbox and playstation are on the same train none of them can still take the loss of the console sales. In reality if they are going to sell at a real price is close to the nine hundred already. Nintendo will never compete with that.

Wrong. If that were true all the changes that have happened in past 12 Months would not be happening as quickly as they are. MS is now in charge of xbox division instead of the division running itself and only reporting to them. Hence games available on all devices, and games coming to PS5 and switch 2.

No company will allow a division constantly lose them money like Xbox has been doing the last two generations and make massive purchase like ABK without seeing a return in investment. If everything was going like it should you wouldn't see Microsoft telling us that Xbox will no longer have exclusives going forward or porting exclusives to Playstation and Nintendo. I loved my series x. Game pass is great. I just went to GameStop and they told me Xbox quit making games on discs and closed a bunch of factories. I just bought a ps5 and PlayStation has tons of games in their subscription. God of wars, dark pictures anthology. I guess I’m buying my next games on ps5. I want to own the games I buy and if Xbox is all digital that will never happen again. Pissed me off I paid more for a disc drive just to have them quit making discs. What a joke

Can somebody please tell me if Xbox is planning on making Xbox consoles for many years including the next generation? I do love game pass, but I always get nervous when PlayStation people like MBG say Xbox is gonna die out and there won’t be any more consoles. Steam Machines are coming. You'll get a great console experience with the entire PC catalog of games and no need to worry about exclusives. Plus, game are cheaper on PC, there are always sales.
The decline in spending in gaming is because the numbers were inflated during covid so anything short of that seems like it's declining I don't believe that story people are playing games more than ever heck my grandmother plays games on her phone so it's complete BS to just believe that video game playing at the declining play spending is declining yes if you inflate the numbers doing covid everything will be a decline after that
Can you explain why Nintendo is always out selling Sony by using a generation behind technology? Some Nintendo fans are starting to notice the $$$ for outdated technology. Microsoft tried to take that approach but failed. WHY? If Microsoft isn't on pare with Sony, they will and have failed.
Honestly Xbox game pass shot their own consoles in the back. I have no need to buy an Xbox as I have a pc that can play their games. I do have a ps5 but I feel it’s lacking so much and I rarely use it. Right now my focus is on valve with their rumoured steam machines and handheld devices.

I can play xbox pass cloud on my samsung tv 4k Playstation hasn't done nothing about cloud gaming or Nintendo switch maybe in the future they will copy xbox on cloud gaming
@anthonynavarro7991 everything will on day go to the cloud but it's to soon to make that jump right now at lest 80% of people don't have access to internet good enough for that to be the norm yet. I don't know about Nintendo but Playstation has cloud gaming just not a app for your TV yet but their not going to make that a priority until it's more viable.
Not sure why everyone always says that whatever console Nintendo puts out next will be successful? They are hit and miss in the console market. N64, GameCube and Wii U were all considered failures in the gaming industry.

Playstation has breathing room if they screw up a bit were xbox doesn't. Xbox is the only one charging their marketing and doing away with exclusives. Xbox isn't growing and that's why their doing what they are and Playstation and Nintendo is growing doing the same they always have.
I think one of the reasons why the series X sold so poorly is because it’s not as easy to upgrade the storage as a PS5 also the drives for the Xbox or a lot more expensive because they were only meant to be used for the Xbox it’s very stupid to make proprietary memory storage makes it harder and more expensive to upgrade your internal storage

I'm looking forward to Microsoft porting full Xbox functionality into Windows. Then I can just build a potato PC running "Windows X" and use it as my backwards compatibility machine instead of actual Xbox hardware. Especially if it's more open than current Windows S implementations and I can install emulators and other classic games on. I didn't bother getting an Xbox One S until just before the Series X/S launched, and that's entirely down to it's backwards compatibility letting me take some strain off of my 360's dying disk drive. Hopefully on a "Windows X" potato machine, I can use whatever DVD drive I want on it, so there's no worry about Microsoft not including one into their livingroom prebuilts.
What are you talking about? *Play$tation* makes you pay for a disc drive, (not to mention the vertical stand for Slim and Pro) bruh, granted basic and slim models you have choice, but not with Pro. If you don't want a disc drive, either get Series S or the white Series X digital edition.

I don’t know why I listen to console fanboys let alone take the time to make response posts. It’s probably a form of sadomasochism or something. The Xbox division was formerly something of a rounding error on Microsoft’s books when the original console was launched roughly 20 years ago. However they have spent tens of billions acquiring studios with the promise of future financial success. So far this has not materialised in console and the bean counters are starting to crack the whip. If they can make more money selling on Sony’s platform than otherwise they will. As regards future consoles, if valve make a successful steam machine device it will heap loads of pressure on game pass not just the Xbox console. Sony is relatively committed, with millions of users perhaps even more having built after Sony game libraries over the past two console generations they are going nowhere. Nintendo is the dark horse of the console wars. They aren’t making noise, holding press conferences every other week, rather they are just getting on with it and that seems to be working for them. It will be interesting to see what gimmick they try and pull off with their next console. The handheld market was massive when the original switch launched now it seems fairly saturated.

Works great. I can play on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra on my lunch break. I can play on my Fire TV cube when the wife is watching the tv the XBox is connected to. I rarely have any issues. I think it will be successful.....

Yeah I only bought the PS5 to play helldiver's, and the only reason it gets used more is because I don't have a series x, so for games like cod and that's probably it where I want the highest slecs, I'll play on the PS5 till I get my series x, but other than that the series s hasn't had a day off since buying it, it's flown around Australia this year and even had a kilo of sugar poured into the fan(kids aye), I haven't touched the PS5 for weeks now, hell sold my PS portal already even though I use Xbox cloud everyday

Wrong. If that were true all the changes that have happened in past 12 Months would not be happening as quickly as they are. MS is now in charge of xbox division instead of the division running itself and only reporting to them. Hence games available on all devices, and games coming to PS5 and switch 2.

No company will allow a division constantly lose them money like Xbox has been doing the last two generations and make massive purchase like ABK without seeing a return in investment. If everything was going like it should you wouldn't see Microsoft telling us that Xbox will no longer have exclusives going forward or porting exclusives to Playstation and Nintendo. Xbox has failed and Microsoft is now in full control over the direction of the Xbox division to make their money back.

I just bought a ps5 and PlayStation has tons of games in their subscription. God of wars, dark pictures anthology. I guess I’m buying my next games on ps5. I want to own the games I buy and if Xbox is all digital that will never happen again. Pissed me off I paid more for a disc drive just to have them quit making discs. What a joke

A PS5 is a Xbox
Can somebody please tell me if Xbox is planning on making Xbox consoles for many years including the next generation? I do love game pass, but I always get nervous when PlayStation people like MBG say Xbox is gonna die out and there won’t be any more consoles. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t buy a whole lot of Xbox games is because I’m scared I won’t have a next generation Xbox to play The games on. And I don’t do PC gaming or fire stick stuff without a console. I’m only a console gamer. So does anybody know for sure if there’s gonna be Xbox consoles for many years?
Steam Machines are coming. You'll get a great console experience with the entire PC catalog of games and no need to worry about exclusives. Plus, game are cheaper on PC, there are always sales.

I don't know about Nintendo but Playstation has cloud gaming just not a app for your TV yet but their not going to make that a priority until it's more viable.

Playstation has breathing room if they screw up a bit were xbox doesn't. Xbox is the only one charging their marketing and doing away with exclusives. Xbox isn't growing and that's why their doing what they are and Playstation and Nintendo is growing doing the same they always have.
I think one of the reasons why the series X sold so poorly is because it’s not as easy to upgrade the storage as a PS5 also the drives for the Xbox or a lot more expensive because they were only meant to be used for the Xbox it’s very stupid to make proprietary memory storage makes it harder and more expensive to upgrade your internal storage

I'm looking forward to Microsoft porting full Xbox functionality into Windows. Then I can just build a potato PC running "Windows X" and use it as my backwards compatibility machine instead of actual Xbox hardware. Especially if it's more open than current Windows S implementations and I can install emulators and other classic games on. I didn't bother getting an Xbox One S until just before the Series X/S launched, and that's entirely down to it's backwards compatibility letting me take some strain off of my 360's dying disk drive. Hopefully on a "Windows X" potato machine, I can use whatever DVD drive I want on it, so there's no worry about Microsoft not including one into their livingroom prebuilts.
What are you talking about? *Play$tation* makes you pay for a disc drive, (not to mention the vertical stand for Slim and Pro) bruh, granted basic and slim models you have choice, but not with Pro. If you don't want a disc drive, either get Series S or the white Series X digital edition.

The Xbox division was formerly something of a rounding error on Microsoft’s books when the original console was launched roughly 20 years ago. However they have spent tens of billions acquiring studios with the promise of future financial success. So far this has not materialised in console and the bean counters are starting to crack the whip. If they can make more money selling on Sony’s platform than otherwise they will.
As regards future consoles, if valve make a successful steam machine device it will heap loads of pressure on game pass not just the Xbox console.
Sony is relatively committed, with millions of users perhaps even more having built after Sony game libraries over the past two console generations they are going nowhere.
Nintendo is the dark horse of the console wars. They aren’t making noise, holding press conferences every other week, rather they are just getting on with it and that seems to be working for them.
It will be interesting to see what gimmick they try and pull off with their next console. The handheld market was massive when the original switch launched now it seems fairly saturated.

Works great. I can play on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra on my lunch break. I can play on my Fire TV cube when the wife is watching the tv the XBox is connected to. I rarely have any issues. I think it will be successful.....
