    Dan's bullet strategy is essentially sacrificing all of his pieces as part of an advanced algorithm of low elo chess that it forces his opponent to capture in such a way that they never have the time to attack Dan's king.

      ?! means weak move - not a bad move, but there's an objectively better move - usually failure take advantage of the opponents mistake.

    I'm like 1400 ELO in classical but never tried blitz, so while I laugh at all the blunders I have a feeling under the time constraints I wouldn't do much better cause I'm used to taking like 30 seconds a move

      1000-1400 elo is the hardest to get out of imo because it's when you know a lot about what's going on and the mistakes losing you games aren't always as obvious as things like trying to move a pawn that would put you in check while your rook is hanging and their knight is attacked by a pawn lol

      I'm saying this as only at 1700 on liches (like 1500 chess.com) so it's not like i really know wtf I'm on about, but I was 1200 for ages before I started playing longer time controls (like 30 minute games)

    My favorite thing about watching beginners in chess is how because they're not really thinking about their opponent's moves or really what they're doing on the next move, the game basically unfolds like magic before their eyes.       How? Queen moved to f6, if pawn takes and then queen takes f4 you still have e3. If not and dan does something else and queen takes d2 you defend it with queen exchange and bishop. What am I missing?

    Brilliant straitlaced commentary, you could feel the simmering rage bubbling beneath the surface. To see dan, in his destabilizing element and commentary that exemplifies the bewildered mindset of his opponents is a testament to how this man came to become a former big brother runner up. Sometimes, all you need to do is stall for time and unsettle your opponent. I will definitely be taking Dan's teaching to heart.

    I just came across this video, and I think whom I learned is called Dan has the most wonderful attitude towards chess one can have, if you are not trying to go pro. He has found a spot where he can do decently, he has understood that it's ultimately just a game, is having fun while playing, and doesn't give a crap what anybody thinks. I love him.
