I ordered the Lounge sectional from Crate and Barrel in February and am still waiting! It was supposed to be delivered in June and every month they add more time. Now, it seems that one piece is ready but the other isn’t. If you buy a custom color, don’t plan a life event around receiving it. Writing from my bean bag on the floor😭
This is Covid- induced J. Unfortunately all materials, furnishings, fixtures, you name it are held up in these super congested ports. Not a good time for anything custom, but better late than never!

Yes that's why I looked at dupes bc the cloud series is very pricey double the cost of my pottery barn sofas! I have a sweet lil love seat from world market for my kids in the game room...just as cozy
I bought a Restoration Hardware sectional and paid over $12K. It is absolutely cheap junk. It squeaked from day 1, and 6 years later it’s falling apart. Utter waste of money.

@@ForwardEngineering yeah, it was ridiculous, I thought it would last me 20 years! And just 2 days ago I spent half a day cutting plywood boards and screwing them to the bottom of the sofa frame to reinforce it, because it’s been sagging and creaking almost since day 1.
I recommend checking out What A Room Sofas, they allow you to fully customize your sectional by size, depth, cushion firmness and over 200 fabric colors/patterns
I wish you mentioned if these sectionals connect to each other or not. I know that most z gallerie sectionals do not connect to each other. This is very important if you don’t want your sectional to move around every time you sit.
You can purchase hardware if your sectionals don’t connect. So inexpensive and easy to DIY- I purchased a heavy duty set for less than $15 on Amazon Enerel. Search “sectional clips”
We've owned sactionals by lovesac for about 8 years now and love them. I like rearranging my space from time to time and the sactionals are perfect for that. Fabrics are washable and you can change them at a moments notice. Arrangement configurations are endless. I have to mention also that the sizes make them ideal to create a queen bed out of them as well.

I am in the market for a new sectional so this is right on time! I don’t know what so many designers are anti-sectional but i for one, am not! I love a big loungey sectional. They’re a lifesaver for bigger families like mine.
Lots of questions on Lovesac Olga! I’ve tested the sectionals in store, I thought they were ok, nothing wrong, just a little bulky for my taste. I do, however, love their sacs. Perfect for a family room if your space permits! Full sets can fit a small family 🥰
I have a Lovesac Sactional and it is wonderful. It is heavy, but also so solid and well made. I have a big family and we are pretty hard on furniture, and my sactional is almost a year old and still looks brand new! It is easy to spot clean and low maintenance overall. I got the standard cushion fill rather than the softer after some research and it is super comfy.

I do know this from a sales representative along with reviews I've read, the turn around time starts at 6-8 weeks. Numerous reviews state 4-6 months. I don't have a problem with the wait time to get the sectional I want. Any additional info is appreciated!
@@JulieKhuu Julie, you have to put this brand on your radar as an interior designer! they have endless options for personalization. they also have a handful of stores in the US. i was fortunate enough to be able to go into the Philly location and view the fabrics, and sit on the sofas to get a feel for what i would be buying. their lead times are 18-22 weeks right now, but that seems to be industry standard for most brands at this point. i just put in my order for a 114” blue velvet chaise sectional in the Caitlin style.
Great and timely video as we are looking for a sectional. We would never buy any though without being able to sit on it first (my husband is so particular because of his bad back). I haven’t seen the Radley from Macy’s Maritza. Wayfair is inexpensive and mid-range, Crate & Barrel is more on high range so get what your budget and aesthetic permits! Good luck! 🙌🏻☺️

I cannot get behind ordering a couch of any kind without feeling it, sitting on it, it's just too risky. Wayfair is really risky in my opinion. After searching and looking at so many sectionals, I happen to be in Big Lots, yes Big Lots and there was exactly what I was looking for! It was marked down from 1115.00 to 849.00 WOW!!! Fit perfectly in my small condo. Things come through for me if I relax and stay focused on what I need more than what I like 👍 They ended up having one of their warehouse guys deliver it to my place for free 🤩 I live less than a mile from the store and that's why I was able to get it delivered and brought upstairs! Hard to imagine these days. $50 tip was unexpected - but I insisted they take it. What you do for others, you do for yourself. Love &Light 💛🌟

What about Lovsac? Good price point, lots of fabric options, 2 armrest options, is modular so it is flexible when you rearrange the furniture layout and you don’t need to worry about which side the chaise is on and you can turn the base so the seat depth is deep or not, and it is very easy to pack in its box when moving, and you can add more sections as your family grows.

Valyou feathers sectional is both reasonably priced, soft and comfy and great quality. The most important feature for me is that the covers are washable and all of the fabric can be removed and washed. Also, you can buy another color when you need a change. My most favorite sectional ever!
@@JulieKhuu any brands you recommend for a 10’x18’ living room? Most of the ones I like are all too deep. I like the depth for lounging but it can look bulky in a long narrow room. A sectional configures to lounge for movie nights and to more formal/ upright sitting for parties. I just can’t find a brand that won’t look horrible in a year or that doesn’t cost a fortune.

Hi Julie... I found you last week and I'm slowly weeding my way thru your videos. So much great content. I'm redoing my family room and I'm looking at the RH Cloud. It wasn't in your list so I wanted to get your thoughts. It's so comfy and I love that the perennials performance white should hold up well. It's an investment for sure so I want to make sure I'm making the right choice and like someone else said... it's paralyzing me. We think we want Luxe but having difficulty discerning how many pieces for an 18.5x16.5 room. This should be fun and not stressful. LOL.
Thanks for the awesome video! I've had the Burrow Nomad Sofa for a bit over a year now and we are looking to upgrade. It looks great but it's not very comfortable for us. At the time, we lived in an apartment with narrow stairs and it was during lockdown so we were trying to find a balance between decent shipping times and portability for the narrow stairs. That's how we landed on the Nomad. Now that we have more space in our new place, we are looking for a sofa that is much deeper. Currently eyeing the West Elm Harmony, Restoration Hardware Cloud, or the Arhaus Kipton. Everything is going to take 4-6 months though!

I have a burrow loveseat and it’s not very comfortable. I am looking to upgrade my couch and loveseat to a sectional now as well. Burrow is great for small spaces but not cozy at all.

Arhaus makes great pieces. I love the look of tufting, but if you/ guests wear jeans with pockets- the dense fabric back pocket sometimes catches on the buttons and pulls them loose. It’s happened a few times for previous clients which is how I know. The button tufting can be fixed of course, just something to think about

My vacuum attachments have an accessory specify for furniture Isabelle. Dust settles on textured upholstery, but giving it a quick vacuum once a week keeps it looking brand new!

Just looked them up- the Tilney sectional is definitely more modern and streamlined in appearance. Depends on which is more comfortable and fits your budget as well EH

Do not buy the West ELM harmony sofa. Their cushion loose shape within a month and you will need to fill it with poly fiber

High back is a little more formal and usually best when anchored by a wall behind it. Crate & Barrel Notch and Six Penny’s Elias are beautiful Miss 😍

What do you think of Emilia 5 piece leather sectional sofa from Ashley?
Valyou feathers sectional is both reasonably priced, soft and comfy and great quality. The most important feature for me is that the covers are washable and all of the fabric can be removed and washed. Also, you can buy another color when you need a change. My most favorite sectional ever!
What about the Lovesac sectional? You can do deep or standard seating.
I tried it in store, I actually love the bean bags for family rooms more. If you have the room of course!

@@JulieKhuu any brands you recommend for a 10’x18’ living room? Most of the ones I like are all too deep. I like the depth for lounging but it can look bulky in a long narrow room. A sectional configures to lounge for movie nights and to more formal/ upright sitting for parties. I just can’t find a brand that won’t look horrible in a year or that doesn’t cost a fortune.

Hi Julie... I found you last week and I'm slowly weeding my way thru your videos. So much great content. I'm redoing my family room and I'm looking at the RH Cloud. It wasn't in your list so I wanted to get your thoughts. It's so comfy and I love that the perennials performance white should hold up well. It's an investment for sure so I want to make sure I'm making the right choice and like someone else said... it's paralyzing me. We think we want Luxe but having difficulty discerning how many pieces for an 18.5x16.5 room. This should be fun and not stressful. LOL.

I've had the Burrow Nomad Sofa for a bit over a year now and we are looking to upgrade. It looks great but it's not very comfortable for us. At the time, we lived in an apartment with narrow stairs and it was during lockdown so we were trying to find a balance between decent shipping times and portability for the narrow stairs. That's how we landed on the Nomad. Now that we have more space in our new place, we are looking for a sofa that is much deeper. Currently eyeing the West Elm Harmony, Restoration Hardware Cloud, or the Arhaus Kipton. Everything is going to take 4-6 months though!
That’s the current lead time, but expect it to be even longer Michelle! Try a local discount store if you have one nearby. I’m in Southern CA and we have two RH outlets with a ton of Cloud sofas and sectionals up for grabs

I have a burrow loveseat and it’s not very comfortable. I am looking to upgrade my couch and loveseat to a sectional now as well. Burrow is great for small spaces but not cozy at all.

Hey Julie! Thanks for the video so helpful. Do you have an opinion on the arhaus everett or bryden sectional? Should I be weary of purchasing a sectional that is tufted?
Arhaus makes great pieces. I love the look of tufting, but if you/ guests wear jeans with pockets- the dense fabric back pocket sometimes catches on the buttons and pulls them loose. It’s happened a few times for previous clients which is how I know. The button tufting can be fixed of course, just something to think about
VALYOU takes MONTHS to deliver. Do not order if you want it. They're advertising is bait/switch.

Thank you for this great explanation video. For a next video on sectionals, i’d like some tips for the maintenance againt the dust..and more (As soon as we received the sectional at home, i had to cover it with 4 large blankets (2 cream, 2 grey) matching our sectional colors
My vacuum attachments have an accessory specify for furniture Isabelle. Dust settles on textured upholstery, but giving it a quick vacuum once a week keeps it looking brand new!
none of these are "reclining" sectionals...we have 2 leather sofa and loveseat. both are reclining...so hard to design around them!
