I have as much respect for these two men as I have for my own dad and granddad. I can even imagine sitting on the big front porch at my grandparent's place having a conversation along the same lines as this video. As far back as I can remember, maybe 7 or 8 years old, my granddad saying Ranger makes the best boat out there on the water. I'll add my note here: A true test of time of any product is the people behind it and the pride they take building it! 💯%

Man it brought tears to my eyes to see Forrets talking with you here Jimmy. This is a perfect example of how nice and genuine this man was. I got a private tour from Forrest at his museum and he talked to me like we had been friends for a while even though we just met. That is a sign of a really amazing man. Cant wait to see him again one day in Glory!

Met Forest in 1990 at the plant and he is just a great human being , I know he's in Heaven .
He was a down to earth type of man , treated people good .

Met Forrest the first time when I was 8 years old... Not sure how many times I was lucky enough to shake his hand from then until now, probably close to 100 between boating and tournament events, and in all those years, he always had time to bless my day with a few minutes of his time. He was a damn good man... And will be forever missed.

I disagree that the Ranger boats will get any better in the coming years. Now that they are owned by Bass Pro Shops the quality issues have started. I bought a 2018 Ranger and have had my share of quality issues. Big corporate = more money, bad quality, with less employees. They all put the profit margins before quality & customer service.
The legend may be a thing of the past.
Makes me want to keep fishing out of my 1986 Ranger 372V even more!

My 1987 396v is as good as the day I bought it. People are shocked when they see it. Forest Woods is name on it. A 32 ft long garage helps. I have a Grady White and they are good quality but The folks at the Ranger company treat it’s customers ten times better than Grady White! That is a fact!
A ranger will last forever if you take egos care of it. Definitely need to keep em inside out of the weather and particularly the sun!!! Keep em clean and serviced. Proud for you! Thanks. God Bless! jimmy
