I recently got my first Ranger. A 1979 BASS Master Classic! A real testimony to the build quality and last ability. No telling how many people have fished in this old gal. The carpet has been replaced but almost all the vinyl is original. The Johnson 115 is long gone but the hull is still very solid.
That is great. You know they can completely refurbish that boat at Ranger and it will look brand new. Sears, Carpet gelcoat. All back to original. It’s awesome. Enjoy that boat. Thanks. May God Bless! jimmy

Nice boat Jimmy .. My father use to live on Campbell Point down at the lake in Shellknob,MO … He’s 88 yrs old now.. Mom’s gone and I wanted to take him fishing and he just can’t anymore .. He had a bass boat for the longest time … They moved away from the lake and ended up in Springfield,MO They had a Tri-toon for quite awhile .. but now the Autumn yrs have moved in and his steps have slowed down … He loved the lake and fishing ..
You need to take him if it’s possible. I took a friend fishing when he was 96 years old. Very special. May God Bless! jimmy

I have those same exact boxes that clip together (I keep colored pencils markers and stuff like that in there. And the bigger ones I use to keep my coloring books. Some are for my Grandchildren and some are fore when I need totale a break from the real world.

My husband said stainless steel props are not good. My husband said if you hit anything it could tear your gear case up because they are heavier than regular props. He works on Tohatsu and big Mercury motors. That is a nice boat. Your right about carrying a spare prop always.
They are very strong and will not break most of the time if you hit something with it which causes foot damage. If you hit something with a aluminum prop the prop will bend or break itself saving the foot. You do get better performance from a stainless steel prop and that’s why most people use them regardless.

I had a brand new bottle of garlic dip explode in my tackle box. Man, it took forever to clean everything up and get most of that smell out of there. Lesson learned. Lol

Prayer's Jimmy for All of You. Man, I'd like to come back up and FISH with You, Jimmy. I came up in (I think it was 1987) I'd just bought a Brand New 373 Ranger Bass Boat and I thought it was setup for us to fish then. We camped on 10 Killer and went to Ya'lls store and Chris was working and told me You had just left the day before to go fish a tournament over in Albama or Tenn ??? I forget now-a-days. I still try to fish some, I'm just so old to do it like I used to. You SIR, have always been my Favorite Tournament Fisherman of all of them. I think it's cause We're So Much Alike ;-)

Jimmy, God has truly blessed you with my dream life. Lol. Since I was 14 years old I dreamt of owning a boat like this. God blessed me 1 years ago with a 1983 Tracker Tournament TX. It’s beat up and needs lots of fixing, but I finally have a bass boat at the age of 59. If your ever in NY your welcome to come fishing with me.
It’s a bass boat, Fred, and a good one. Don’t think the fish pay too much attention to the boat. I bet you catch a bunch out of that. Have fun and whack em’!!! God Bless!! jimmy
I only got out a few times last year because I had to wait on a new trailer and fix some rivets last season, but I did catch enough to make me happy.

Strange thing, I have been fishing for 59 years now, the most memorable trip I had was in a four man rubber raft in central California. I was maybe 16 years old, new Don Pedro reservoir had just filled, it was early summer. I and my friend paddled around throwing top water baits, we hooked and landed 65 bass between 2 and 5.5 pounds….lost a couple between 8-10 pounds. We even caught some giant crappie for a shore lunch. I have had a few days with higher numbers, but I can’t say I ever had more fun. I did catch a 5-2 out of Ellsworth ( Oklahoma)day before yesterday on a four inch swim bait out of my tracker SC 175. I was trying for saugeye, but the bass just kept eating my swim baits all day, lol.

Hey Jimmy you ought to install a hotfoot. You can keep both hands on the steering wheel and if something happens just let your foot off the pedal and you power down. Love the boat especially the adjustable seats.
I’ve used them and they are a real pain in rough water plus you have to sit down every time you move the boat, even off it’s just a short distance. Wears your leg out in those 40-50 mile runs in tournaments Thanks. God Bless! jimmy

Beautiful boat Jimmy! We have a 2001 Triton TR-20. Had someone look at yesterday and told him what year it was, he said he could t believe. He said he guessed it to be about 5 years. Our boat is of course the baby and is in the garage unless we are fishing or camping. I told him about watching your videos and he said I bet Jimmy wouldn’t mind riding/going fishing is this bad boy...lol. Anyway just thought I would share that little story with you. I am continuing prayers for Miss Chris and your family!!!

The boat Mr. Houston is displaying in his video is a fully functional professional tournament bass fishing boat. I’m glad to see you’ve enjoyed fishing all of your life and that’s a blessing for you. There are many levels of fishingi in this great country and one of the most popular is professional bass fishing. Many anglers, both male and female have chosen to make careers in the tournament fishing industry. Mr. Houston has been a successful professional angler for many years. Like any other career field you need the right equipment to get the job done correctly in order to be successful. I certainly wouldn’t call them show off boats and I wouldn’t say that everyone who owns one is a pos as you stated! Have a great weekend Arnold and catch a bunch next time you go fishing. 🙏🏻🎣🐟😎

Been a few years, but there's a cat in Texas that makes those trailer ladders. I don't know his name now, but I ordered, and it's so nice for my Tracker TXW~ Costs around 350.00, and was easy to put on.
