- Aimi plays Liszt - Verdi's Rigoletto Paraphrase during her visit of Russia in 2008. As we know she played this piece only once in public and we are lucky to have the copy of it.

So can you say why you think she is not ready? You sound like one of my old teachers, just making blunt criticism with no explanation behind except because you said so. Well I call your bluff friend. I say you know very little to nothing about playing piano

Why have her play repertoire like this?
It's too slow: The chromatic scales where the theme is decorated.---
She's not ready to play the downward chromatic major thirds at all.
She does well with the octaves for someone so small.
Her playing of the slower melodic parts is very good for that age.
And you too, it doesn’t seem like you really know what you’re talking about. You gave two compliments and all you said was it’s too slow. Well was it too slow because she can’t play it or because it was deliberate? I’m inclined to say based in her technical ability it’s deliberate as well as you can hear it in the thirds and the chromatic scales. I think she needs a better grasp of the overall phrases, if anything it’s rushed sometimes. But for someone with technique like this it is a great piece for them to overcome these musical challenges. Because with good technique come more freedom in expression and control. So I’m just trying to understand the reasoning behind your comment. Critics just don’t say much these days. It’s really just meaningless.
