why are your videos not in the hundreds of thousands of views. You are an amazing guitar player and i really want to post covers of Born and The River Dragon Has come... Great stuff.
Hi Seb You were worried about the final result on the solo.... you must be joking. You are one of the best players on RUclips. Your technique is precise and you play very clear, even in the parts where there are several guitars. Congratulations for your awesome cover. All my best wishes for the next year to you. Health, peace, and happiness to you and to your loved ones. With best wishes from Spain Juan
Incredible playing, Seb! Can't say I love Nevermore's music but this was great fun to watch and listen to! H*EA*V*Y! And your new cam seems to be working perfectly! Happy New Year to you, too! JC
Awesome video man nice guitar nice editing and the solo was perfect dont bother telling "i did the best i could but it was not enough" i wish some day i be nearly good as you couz ill never be like Loomis
Thanks Zoltar, this particular one took me a long time. But I didn't practice just now. I have been using that solo as a finger exercise for quite some while now, but never at the original speed. So it took me lots of hours again to bring it up to speed. I hope I can get to our collab cover within the next 2 days. (my holiday will last for another 2 days)
Thanks Dave, yeah I love how those backgrounds fit in smoothly now. When I filmed inside rooms with my old cam I always had issue because as soon there was some slight shadow on the green screen I would get transparencies. That new camera has some insane tolerance regarding those. Makes things a lot easier. I can even greenscreen in my dark PC room (in the past I had to rearrange my living room haha).
Santa was nice to you this year eh? I Love your new HD camera. The background is almost 3D like. Better rest those fingures after that one, we don't want you to suffer any tendon damage.(-:\> Keep rocking into the new year and beyond my friend. ~CHEERS~ B.Champagne
damn your where really hangin in there on that solo ....shit as soon as that sweep section picks up it reminds me of sailing over some real rough arpeggio waters
Dude you rocked that solo, I havent heard it sound any better than when Loomis himself plays it haha, great job on the cover and I like the little added touch with the greenscreen effects in the back, maybe next time raise the volume on your recording, it seemed a bit low in some parts
Thanks, Nevermore is definately worth a closer listen. It usually takes a while to get into as it's not all really catchy tunes but they have some nice heavy stuff and real complex material going on.
@xethicx That would be really nice. If you have some xt live patches you can recommend I would be happy to try them. For some stuff I have some really great patches (mostly the Judas Priest stuff and older 80s settings). But for the newer stuff I am still missing to find a nice setting.
Thanks, I used a guitar pro tab as a guideline. It was mostly correct but the fingering in the solo was messed up. I actually took it from Jeff's solo lesson that is flying around youtube somewhere.
@RasputinsVision Hey there, my friend. Challenging song and fun to play. Not sure how it will sound on a 6-string. It will probably require some pretty intense downtuning - might leave the strings a little too loose.
@abuhola8 It's not played through an amp. Just through my Line6 POD xt per direct recording. If you have that kind of a device I can probably hook you up on the settings.
Patricks REEEEAAALLLLLYYYYY SOUND GREAT!!! you to as well. this is a question that hasn't ever been asked in youtube guitarist page LOL! - what type of equipment do you use!!! had to wask!

Actually it's not the album cover. The first background just uses a very similar color scheme to the dead heart in the dead world album so I thought it would be funny to use it. It's chroma key effect.
Wow...wow...wow....this sounds really heavy!!! Love it!!! How long takes you to learn the bloody solos? Very tight playing as always! Happy New Year to you too!!! Zoltar
You mean for video editing? I typcially vegas. Before I used Pinnacle but it won't allow such nice multi layer videos and it kills your ressources, as my PC is rather old (like 4-5 years)
Wow! Seb that solo was crazy!!! I am bow to you, master of metal!!! Oh and the new camera quality is stunning! Wow!

Incredible playing, Seb! Can't say I love Nevermore's music but this was great fun to watch and listen to! H*EA*V*Y!

Wow! Great video and even better playing! Mad props dude!
one more thing to have to say, the chroma key works just perfect with your new HD camera, good choice ...congratulation.
Great job mate. My personal favorite Nevermore song.
Thanks Patrick. And thanks for crafting this beautiful guitar =).
Hey Seb,
I really dig this tune. Your sound is sweet! Great cover....

nice green screen action going on there :)
Amazing...
nice cover dude!!!!
great technical playing, i would work on the feel of the song along with the bends! GOOD STUFF!

@DVpk47 yes. it's 2 Kent Armstrong pickups in Hufschmid design. Pretty hot pickups. Not the hottest ones available in his series though.
good job mate
Killer ...very nice
i learned this song. it's super fun lol
Just tune it half a step down and learn the solos. That damn diminished harmony part is so much fun. : P
@abuhola8 It's not played through an amp. Just through my Line6 POD xt per direct recording. If you have that kind of a device I can probably hook you up on the settings.
I'd love to see some more Dream Theater covers from you too
Patricks REEEEAAALLLLLYYYYY SOUND GREAT!!! you to as well.
this is a question that hasn't ever been asked in youtube guitarist page LOL! - what type of equipment do you use!!! had to wask!
Dude :O Freaking great
Thanks man - Yes, it's basically a chroma key effect. I played in front of a green screen.
Thanks, no amp involved though. Just directly recorded through a POD live xt like all my covers so far.
Right on! Mr. Loomis. hehehe!
Humble is good.(-:\>

Riff at 1:16 makes me want to break shit. Killer cover!
It's made by a swiss luthier. You can check him out at blackdroidguitars. He builds beautiful custom guitars in a natural wood based look.
awesome. u should learn some of jeffs newer stuff 2
Actually it's not the album cover. The first background just uses a very similar color scheme to the dead heart in the dead world album so I thought it would be funny to use it. It's chroma key effect.
I would like to see the cover of Demonizer and Hellrider from Judas Priest
everytime i see this video i remember my uncle, only this tine he actually kicks ass!lol!
@diabeticmonkey Yes, I'm checking it every once in a while, mostly to help my GAS =).
The volyme swells that start at 0:53 are awesome! You didn't learn this by ear did you? The solos are flawless! Great editing and playing :)
Wow...wow...wow....this sounds really heavy!!! Love it!!! How long takes you to learn the bloody solos?
Very tight playing as always!
Happy New Year to you too!!!
Zoltar
i try 2 play everything on my 6 string lolz.. needless 2 say things don't always go as planned xD
R.I.P. Nevermore
the solo sounds like some stuff on zero order phase, i dont quite remember which song
face at 4:11 - 4:30 ish = "Fuck Yea"
@kmk4juggalo20 Doing a pinch to those are very hard if you want to keep in time try learning it and you will c what I mean
Holy fucking shit.
All I have to say about the solo.
Number 1
nice fuckin' job!
Dude, that was nothing shy of beastly. Great cover. I'm really digging your tone. What type of amp are you using?
nicely played but that tone is pretty rough man, I have an XT and an X3 Live, if youd like some help with tone settings id be happy to help out.
You mean for video editing? I typcially vegas. Before I used Pinnacle but it won't allow such nice multi layer videos and it kills your ressources, as my PC is rather old (like 4-5 years)
DUDE!!! I LOVE YOUR TONE!!! :D what setup are you using here?
Nice cover. Damn hard solo to master (at least to mortals like me).
What video editing program are you using?
What kind of amp are you using in this video?
Sounds killer man, loved the solo.
::thumbs up::
yup but a hufchmid will probably kick the ass of a seven string rg. in the bill too... check them out!
where cna i find tabs to the intro? im fairly new but i can do alot of megadeth and just wanted to play this intro
i wish there was a slow mo button to help break down riffs
There is software that can slow things down already
