    Yes Prof David a lot of false survival tutorials. It's absurd that a lot of dangerous information is out there. You are a blessing that you are continuing the legacy of Master Vee.

    It's rare, but revolvers (snub nose 38 etc.) are still used too. No slide to grab and "stop" a bullet from ejecting. Never seen nobody train for a revolver.

    I am at 12:51 of this video. I haven’t watched the whole thing yet. But I have a feeling you are about to repeat a key principle “If it is no use to him it is no use to me.” I might be wrong but let’s see … the original video seemed too much is chasing the disarm than to neutralize the attacker who has forgotten he has a second hand.

    THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, gentlemen for pulling no punches and telling it like it is 100%!!!! Too much BS out there and people flocking to "the next fad" without realizing it might get them killed!! The way that you two gent's dissect each technique and bring forth solutions in layman's terms for all to understand is a direct testament to the decades of hard training you have put toward honing your craft.
    To all on this feed.. There is absolutely no way any craftsman in any field would be able to see and understand "imperfections in their craft" without decades in that particular field. Would you trust an electrician to wire your home if he'd gotten a certificate after a weekend of training? Of course not!! (Now, I'm not saying the practitioner showcased in the video is intentionally putting forth bad info. He may not know otherwise). But why trust your LIFE with substandard info out there?
    Always grateful for the wisdom put forth by these two warriors. Much love and respect to Professor David and Shihan Ken as well as all on this feed.

      I agree, it's a last resort, practice practice until it's 2nd nature, a split sec. of hesitation could cost dearly.

    • @darrylbenson868
      @darrylbenson868 4 месяца назад +1

      @@diakidis3167 correct! And this is why professor stresses for people to train practice practice practice so that it will be 2nd nature. Everyone doesn't live in Florida or states which allow them the liberty to carry a firearm. So that's easy for him to say because he more than likely was never put in this type of scenario. And even if that were the case you will probably need your hands in order to employ some defense or technique before even getting that gun out. What would he do with that gun if or when ambushed?? So his statement that Everyone carries in fla don't bring your hands to a gun fight really made no sense 🤔 And believe me it is 2nd nature as you stated to and for the professor Dave. I'm only responding to your comment because it wouldn't allow me to leave a reply to the person who made the gun comment. 😃 Have a great day!

Make no mistake he didn't just start this way of life. He's very passionate about what he does and has been training and doing this for decades.

    Interesting point about practicing gun defense with a full size replica. You are correct about small autos and snub noses being common among the predator class. I am going ask my instructor about training with a snub nose and see if that changes things. Excellent thought provoking content on this channel. Nothing else as practical out there.

    Being at a level 7 for fitness is good but most self defense situations are over in 30 seconds or less. Otherwise you have a fight. A fight normally is won by the younger, bigger, stronger faster person. Fitness and speed and telegraphing are all overrated and stressed for self defense. What really matters is putting all your body weight through one square inch of him in a vulnerable target area. Your videos are the best out there.
