Josh the reason for ball spinning later and not early in the game is due to the fact that as ball gets old (by playing) it gripps better on surface and hence spin big. At that time no one among elites (not even English who invented this game) knew about this fact, let alone the villagers of Champaner. I think the beauty of cricket lies in this fact only that it's such a condition dependent game. I dont see many of modern sports getting impacted this hugly by conditions. 😅😅
About the king grabbing his necklace scene, he was happy and excited and it's accustomed for the royalty especially for the King to give their jewellery to the performers in the court. So it is kinda evident of that
Spinning is done when the ball is old new ball is hard and difficult to spin. India have spinning pitches because of soil conditions here where as Australia have concrete rock pitches which help the fast bowlers to throw lethal bouncers Whereas England due to wind conditions You get the bowl to Swing alot. Pitches play a good role in cricket.
Lol 😂 one side shiny , other side rough is required for reverse swing. For spin, the pitch should have cracks and the ball should be old. On day 2 after lunch, the ball was old old and the pitch developed some cracks due to constant play on it and sun beating down on it

The Only reason I don’t give it 10 panipuris is because it didn’t need the love triangle with Elizabeth. That felt a bit labored then, it feels labored now.
@@ChaatNChat Absolutely, but I see there's a big problem. We need more Americans in the game otherwise it'll be just NRIs and south Asians playing the game. Well let's hope for good change, America is also hosting LA Olympics 2028 and it has cricket in it.
We need to get kids interested in cricket in the US, it will take some time but if you start them younger then they will see that it is a viable sport if they go for it in this country. If cricket gives up on the US too early then the kids will figure it isn't worth going after.

I don't know about deserves I mean Eliza really helped them out when it would have been easier to ignore the problem but Gauri and Bhuvan have been in love it seems since childhood. There are other men out there but the sad thing is that she stayed alone for the rest of her life instead of moving on. (Although the symbolism I can understand but still sad)
It is so easy watching reactions when Miguel is there. Miguel understands most of the cultural intricacies!!😊 Last line of the movie: Even after this historic win, Bhuvan's name was lost in history!! To emphasise that there might have been a cricket match that took place in real!
The shiny new cricket ball does not spin. It’s very difficult to spin a new ball. The ball as it gets older, roughed up and ragged as it gets hit around becomes easier to grip and spin. Spinners in cricket matches come and bowl later in the game when the ball is older. Here’s your cricket trivia message for the day 😅
You must watch the making of lagan, that will give you an idea how difficult it was back then to shoot the whole movie and how many hurdles they had to go through to make the movie. That will surely amazed you
The ball didn't spin the first day cause the ball and the pitch was new hence instead of spinning it was skidding ... and on the 2nd day now that the ball is old and pitch also has more cracks now it started spinning square.....

I have watched this movie hundreds of time at this point, but it never fails to make me cry. Whenever any player got out we all felt like shit, it was a stupid mistake and the next second you realise it's easier said than done, this was a game of life and death, one is playing to satisfy their ego and other is playing for their living. Characters like Arjan when they showed rage and ended up getting out is not a strange thing, imagine getting tortured enslaved in your own country for 200 years, there used to be boards everywhere at that time written - Dogs and Indians are not allowed, would we be able to feel calm and composed, no. Talking about Sadistic player by Miguel, oh just wait, this movie was nothing infront of the real brutality of British, there are more than enough movies documentaries independent videos etc to show their barbarism. Even if you don't react to them in channel read about the dozens of Invasions and colonialism India fought through on your own, you will understand why we are so passionate about our country.
💯 there is no way to properly understand what that would even feel like. I'm sure as you said it was way worse. When I lived in India one of the required classes I had to take in highschool was Indian Studies and we learned a lot about the brutality. It would be too much for a film to show, definitely would be rated not as family friendly.
@@ChaatNChat I am glad you know some but for a fact I know the brutal info would have been tamed down a lot because it's same for us too, our academics largely downplays the brutality for many ulterior reasons (whole another debate ) that's why we general population rely on independent books and authors to know the actual reality. Also about movie that shows one example of this - one recent movie is Sardar Uddham, be ready to cry buckets, brilliant movie.

The Only reason I don’t give it 10 panipuris is because it didn’t need the love triangle with Elizabeth. That felt a bit labored then, it feels labored now.
The most recent memory similar to this was USA beating Pakistan....
That was an awesome game!
I really like your reaction. Your guys really understand the emotion and feelings behind bollywood movies. The father sir I dont know your name but you are so much Indian you know. Infact this reaction videos makes us understand that human beings are same wherever they belong from. Its so realistic right. I saw the zindegi na milegi do bara, lagaan, 12th fail, munna bhai mbbs, 3 idiots reactions from you guys. It makes me so sure that countries does not matter. Real people will have the same feelings all arpund the world.
i felt bad for Elizabeth in last i think she deserve bhuvan more than gauri
I don't know about deserves I mean Eliza really helped them out when it would have been easier to ignore the problem but Gauri and Bhuvan have been in love it seems since childhood. There are other men out there but the sad thing is that she stayed alone for the rest of her life instead of moving on. (Although the symbolism I can understand but still sad)
spin works only when the ball becomes old (worn). When the ball is new, pace works better.
It is so easy watching reactions when Miguel is there. Miguel understands most of the cultural intricacies!!😊
Last line of the movie:
Even after this historic win, Bhuvan's name was lost in history!!
Here’s your cricket trivia message for the day 😅
I can warch Lagaan many times
10/10 panipuri's for me
Yeah, this movie is in my top 5 for sure!
The hair cut ? 💇 cute and handsome as always Josh 🔥❤️ again fan of Miguel uncles smile 🙂🥰 appreciate your effort in every video reviews 😊
☺️☺️☺️❤️ aww thanks. Thank you so much for watching with us
Elizabeth didn't want to speak in Hindi. It wasn't in her contract. But Aamir and the rest forced her to.
This movie is emotion for all indians
The making of this movie is also available
My mom love the movie soo much she can watch this movie again and again
You must watch the making of lagan, that will give you an idea how difficult it was back then to shoot the whole movie and how many hurdles they had to go through to make the movie. That will surely amazed you
That's a bit of a longer one but we will try.
i never realised that was pradhan ji ...woowww...lol
4:28 = Old Ball Spin Really Well Better Than New One ...
That's Why He Spin it
If the ball gets old it spins, new ball doesn't much spin in cricket ball 😊
Oh that makes a lot of sense
The ball didn't spin the first day cause the ball and the pitch was new hence instead of spinning it was skidding ... and on the 2nd day now that the ball is old and pitch also has more cracks now it started spinning square.....
Ah that makes sense
4:18 The Ball is worn out by now after a day of match…that’s why it’s spinning
Elizabeth was the most kind hearted soul in the entire movie. She should be given a happy ending
Your next should be Sardar Udham..... another mind blowing period movie and Oscars level of movie making.
Guys, now go watch the Making of Lagaan 'Madness in the Desert', a feature film in its own right...will blow your mind
We would like to, since it is so long we will have to actually schedule a proper time for it.
Old ball spins because you have a better grip on the ball and it grips the surface as well
If you loved this movie, you should definitely watch the documentary called "Chale Chalo - Making of Lagaan/Madness in the Desert". you will learn about everything behind the scenes and the immense hard work that was put into making this movie. You can find it on RUclips even if the quality isn't the best, not sure if you can find the same documentary with better quality elsewhere.
You must watch the documentary of this movie ' Chale Chalo' . Movie behind the camera.. The hardwork they put to make this masterpiece. ❤❤❤
This country has a good future in this game 😂
King want to give his necklace as his offering for big catch

Josh Looks Younger Today 😆
😅 why is that? Maybe I got some sleep? 🤣
@@ChaatNChat 😁
Please react manummen boys movie osame movie
4:34 new ball is very hard to spin bcoz its shinny ,as game progresses it becomes old its easy to spin bcoz ball lose its shine.
Ah that makes sense!
You can't get spin on a new ball. It has to lose it's shine before you can spin it.
Oh, yeah, that makes sense 👍🏻
That is also on our list. We are going to try to watch a bunch of these types of movies in August theme
@@ChaatNChat great 👍😃.
