It was just back in 2016 that Ft Miles obtained one of the spare 16" barrels was located (it was a spare for the Missouri). Initially it sat outdoors on a sort of horizontal stand - more recently they got it mounted up next to the entrance to the museum, much more like it would have been back in the day. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Miles Volunteers have recently restored a good chunk of the underground bunkers at Ft Miles - it was just a year or two ago that it got opened to the public.

yah, its to bad none of the M1 gun computers for the 16"s didn't survive. I guess thats why no one knows anything about them.
