That's a great interview Roger did with Jim. That's my babe Roger Waters always does his best and will only answer things he wants to and when he doesn't want to answer he will say I'm not going to answer that.
this was so frustrating. he basically answers all the questions with either 'I don't know' or ' I don't wanna talk about it'. thanks for uploading, though !
i always listened to jim ladd's "innerview" shows on KMET in los angeles. i never knew he tried it as a tv show. several years ago i got to talk to him on the phone while he was doing his radio show and asked if the "innerview" programs will ever be available. he said they were working on it. this was in the early 2000s,and as far as i know the programs are still unavailable. what a shame because he had some of the best of the best in rock and roll sit down and open up to him.

There is a great interview Jim did with Roger on The Wall album. They go over it track by track. One of the best indepth interviews Roger did about The Wall.
Roger Waters seems very rude in interviews but I totally relate to his music and lyrics especially the times he writes about the dark and grim parts of being human.I love 🙏❤️😊 him always!
@@nectarinedreams7208They are close still. This was more two friends talking than a hard hitting interview. As you know Jim toured with Roger on the Radio KAOS tour.
His music comes from who he is really as a person. He isn't happy-go-lucky in daily life and then turns miserable for five minutes while he writes a song. He's miserable always! That's what makes Roger Waters Roger Waters!

I wonder what it feels like to know that a compilation of tunes you created and released to the world three decades ago has been played by someone, somewhere on earth, at least once every single day since. The Dark Side Of The Moon held the record for the most consecutive weeks of chart placement and major radio market airplay in the history of recorded music. I can’t imagine a time in the future of civilization when The Wall is regarded as anything but a masterpiece, whether one enjoys it or not. I think I would feel a little bit proud of myself if I had accomplished anything even close to what the Pink Floyd have done. It’s astonishing. 👍
Wow, a lot of character development in Roger since that time! Jim Ladd gets part of the credit (or the blame) for getting Roger out of his public shell. As to the whatever happens with Pink Floyd "I hope it happens gracefully," I think that we can all objectively say that it didn't!
It’s a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of an old vhs video. Copy that.😁
Should of talked more about the subject regarding pink floyd and the other members cause at the very end, it seems like he was lying about what he just said. But that's just me basing it on the way he said it and his body language.
Interesting interview. Its funny how he sorta criticizes Macca for all the interview he gives and indicated in must take two to three days a week promoting yourself. Yet, Macca has put out about 20 albums, some of which are very good, since this interview was given and Roger has put out about 3. I dont think Macca has a time management problem.
@@Eleventhearlofmars Waters hasn't put out anything close to McCartney's albums since Waters left Floyd. McCartney put out albums like Flaming Pie, Flowers In The Dirt, and Egypt Station after The Final Cut which was the last real Floyd album. Since then, Roger has put out stuff like Pros and Cons, Radio Kaos, Amused To Death, and worst of all Is This The Life We Really Want? Roger needs a producer and someone to help him sort out the nonsense from the great music.
Just a very bitter person at this point in his life...it's a shame. You don't get that vibe from the rest of Pink Floyd. Roger needed counseling, but instead he took his frustrations out on his bandmates.
@@bernlin2000 The REST of Pink Floyd? What's that? Polly's husband who couldnt write a good song to save his life? Nick Mason drummer extrordinare who couldnt drum Mother so they had to bring in a studio drummer? Cocanin Rick rip who hadnt contributed to PF since DSOTM? Waters is Floyd. The rest were his musicians.
@@sharonrichards1627 That wasn't my point. Once Roger left, Gilmour and Co. carried on for no reason other than the money. The 2 albums they made without him were atrocious...the lyrics we laughable..
Wow! The difference between a 40 year old And 80 year old Roger Waters is so extreme. Here he even says he's not into politics. It's 1984. In limbo between the Final Cut' and his resignation from Pink Floyd the following year. He says Pink Floyd are on the shelf. He's got teeth you could eat an apple through a tennis racket with and looks a bit uncomfortable and self conscious. Not the over confident ego maniac he is now. Amazing what a set of new dentures and a face lift can do to one's self esteem and attitude to launch a solo career. He had half his face blacked out in the Final Cut video Tough decision. Which half. Top or bottom? Not to worry there won't be any profile shots. Enjoy. Duanne Dibbley.
And can you tell me your contribution to this world besides mocking a man's appearance!! Hes an artist from a great band ..just enjoy the music and keep them negative comments to yourself Sincerely Barry mcCockiner
I'm sort of got the impression that by 1984 Roger decided that the band was truly over but just didn't announce it until the following year. 1982 was pretty much the final year of whatever friendship or workmanship Roger and David had left and recording The Final Cut destroyed that (great album tho). Touring Pros and David touring About Face really showed the two the power of the Pink Floyd name and Roger knew that the band would have to just retire the name and go their separate ways.
