As soon as I saw the car I went to write a comment about how Subaru used to make the same thing. I'm glad you mentioned it before I finished writing. I'd love to see them bring back the Outback sedan.
Very proud owner of a 2016 S60 CC. Found one on a lot in yes 2017, 135 miles, clean title, never registered. Why buy, price and bang for my buck. Sticker was 47,600 purchased 38,300. Ok so it was a 2016, manufactured in August 2015, arrived in US in November 2015 and sat all of 2016. I Grew up in the 70's an AMC nut Gremlin, Matador, Fuego and wished I had a Eagle. This car fits all of what I wanted, ride height, all wheel drive, firm ride and a powerful enough engine. My car is number 420 out of 500 so hopefully the guys at manufacturing were in stride when this was assembled and should last me years of quality driving. Now being number 420 I pretty much own a very unique car that you wont see 30 of in you local mall parking lot, I like that. Some of the things that people don't like about the car are the reason I purchased this. Trunk worked fine for me on last trip to Costco, back seat my trunk extension. Firm ride I love, seats wrap around you and hold you comfortably. My hope is they continue the line, for me it is a perfect fit, gets me to work in any weather and gets me there quick.
same ive been saving up i have the money to buy it as my first car (minus the insurance just the car price my mom will handle that for the next two years till I'm 18)
The original commercially successful 4wd lifted 4 door sedan was the 1980 AMC Eagle sedan...Also, came as a coupe, hatchback and wagon. You're welcome.
Are you talking S60 or XC70? I only had the 60 for a week so it's tough to tell. Our XC70 has been bullet proof. A few small things but with 120K, that's expected.
Driven Car Reviews both, but is nice to know that your Volvo xc70 has been bulletproof, I love Volvo, actually i came from Europe and I love Volvo, I live now in USA but I'm scared for the reliability in the long run with the Volvo S60, it may not be the same reliability and cost like we have in Europe, I think is a great car for the family but I want to know your opinion and maintenance costs!
Thanks for a great review!! I bought a new '17 of these kinda because what you said about the handling compared to a bmw x2 for example. Just edging out a caddie xt4.
+acepotato Sure does, in fact I saw one the other day. It was the sedan version too (pretty sure they also made a two-door hatch along with the wagon). Remember when Subaru called Outback "the first sport utility wagon"? That didn't last long...
+PowerPC There is no button to lock the front or rear diff. From the Volvo Press Site- Volvo’s electronically controlled All-Wheel Drive with Instant Traction™ is standard providing the best possible grip in all situations - on wet, slippery or completely dry roads. The advanced AWD system delivers power to the wheels with the best grip. When a tire loses traction, power is reduced to that wheel and instantly transferred to the more sure-footed wheels.
Nice old school sedan. Back to the days when sedans had same ground clearance as most of SUVs today.

What's suspension does the S60 CC use compared to the standard T5 S60? I prefer the stock height or better on my S60, especially on rough roads
This is my dream car.

That 5-cylinder exhaust note is orgasmic. I'll take the economy hit for a car that sounds that good.
As a S60 sedan owner I think owning a rare limited production model of the S60 would be cool.
Like the polestar... I find this cc s60 kinda odd looking
This is the perfect car!!!

hey I drive an 08 xc70 too. 150k on the odo and still going strong.
Kent Gabriel Did you have problems with the car? I mean in terms of reliability and all that stuff, would be awsome to know from a real owner!

150 k on an 08 , just getting broke in. My 06 has 123K and I get 31 mpg highway on regular gas. Pump the tires up to 36 psi for better gas millage .
Wow awesome cover photo ... it sure is an interesting looking car
+Tyler Baugh Thank Martin Campbell. He's a great still photog.

Kudos. Great to the point as always. I do enjoy.
kind of reminds me of the old AMC Eagle...

its 4x4 ??
I want one!
Wagons are the way to go.
Wouldn't the Mercedes GLE be in this category?
+Steve W It's a hatchback, this is a sedan.
this should be a hatch...
+Torrey B It is if you buy the V60 instead of the S60
nah, thats a wagon--they need a dedicated hatch again. maybe a polestar version too, to challenge the gti, st, etc.
+Torrey B Well, the V60 is a hatchback-esque sort of wagon. The rear pillar is so sloped it could pass as a hatch, even though it is a wagon.
Another great review! It is AWD all the time? No electronic locking front or rear diff?

Awesome
S60 owner here. That engine does not like regular gas. Not even mid grade.
JabbaDuhHut so you need to put premium?
Generally speaking, yes. It hiccups quite frequently while accelerating with mid-grade and below.
JabbaDuhHut Thanks for letting me know man! ;)
My S80 runs fine on regular. Odd?
They really put a pocket on the front of the driver's seat? That seems like a place someone would hide a small pistol.
+Diego Montoya Uh huh. That sounds about right for the Volvo crowd.,
Ok, you got a point there. The Swede lovers are not the Sovereign Citizen crowd, nor are they trying to be in a 90s rap music video.
So you're the guy buying all the toilet paper during coronavirus season!
Amazing car for poor roads
looks weirds
Dirtfish!
+Rumblestrip.NET Yup
I really do like Volvos.... but I just can't love them. The reliability kills it.
+Casual Driver Vlogs, Reviews & How-Tos The last two Volvos I have owned have been completely trouble free.
Lucky. I know a few people that had to sell them because they had multiple problems.
Volvos are extremely reliable lol
