The security taking away Drake is so satisfying. This is the same guy who fake a call about a teather being on fire just to get free lunch, and he played as a joke.
The morale of this episode's story is that you shouldn't take your family members for granted and not continue to be a bad influence or be toxic towards those that you surround yourself with, otherwise they will be gone in an instant, and you suddenly realise how vital they are to ya.
This episode foreshadowed so much. Drake has completely ruined my childhood and I’ll never be able to watch the show the same way again thanks to him. I’m done with you too Drake.
I did actually feel sorry for Drake when he lost Josh because his life became awful. Like, he really did need his brother, but I also can’t blame Josh at all for just deciding he was “done with Drake” in this episode. Drake took advantage of Josh, and screwed him over so many times because Josh let him get away with it. For what it’s worth, Drake did learn his lesson in this episode. It’s too bad he went back to taking advantage of Josh again in the following episodes for the sake of comedy, though.
Josh also admitted that he and Helen have been getting along well since he kicked Drake out of his life. It made me remember how Drake never got along with Mrs. Hayfer while he had the 'good life.'
Josh always worked hard for Helen but yet she always treated him unfavourably. That changed in this episode after cutting Drake out. While Mrs Hayfer always loved to make Drake's life a living hell unreasonably causing Drake and her to never change their attitudes.

Normally when Drake apologizes, he does so Josh will stop being mad and doesn’t really know what he’s apologizing for. So when Drake apologizes to Drake after Josh was late, Josh took it as another empty apology and he’ll take advantage of him again. But when Drake broke down in class apologized again, Josh sensed a real apology that time and saw for once that Drake was indeed sorry
How Drake needs his brother more, sees how Josh is better off without him, reprises how he made him suffer bad luck that he’s now facing himself, and guilt for making him late and taking advantage of him, too
Seems like a pretty intense episode, with a very important lesson (Don't take your friends for granted). But the episode also showed us that Drake and Josh found the definitive best way to play ping pong.
Drake had this coming for a long time but I really do feel bad for drake near the end because even though drake is a jerk to josh he still loves him and he can’t live without him.
c. late 2000s I remember D&J went on some kind of morning show, promoting their Xmas movie. Though the interview was upbeat and D&J seemed on good terms, when the host asked them why they parted ways and ended the show Josh answered that it was "a bad breakup" with this sad little smile while Drake moved closer to him almost protectively. Now it's come out that their relationship has been very stormy, one has to wonder whether it was less than professional or platonic...
Having a brother and having been though things like this before, the ending really is spot on. You just don’t even bring it up, because you both know you need the other one more than anything
I wish FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS had an episode like this where Mac...no, scratch that, EVERYONE cut Bloo off like this. Think about it: Bloo constantly sold out, swindled, or hurt his friends for his own gain and never faced any long-lasting consequences for it. A situation like this would have done him some good.
I’ll say this again, and only one last time. Let’s think realistically now. Everything she mentioned or brought up in accusations against Drake. Keep in mind, he got two months. Now if what everything the girl said was true.. Wouldn’t we see worse crimes added to his records if they were true? Yes we would. Now, if you are familiar what plea bargaining is, that’s the only reason why he’s on probation. I’m not here to attack anyone at all. Only here to spread awareness of this. :)
I actually feel more bad for drake. While he did take advantage of josh, he clearly did take a toll from Josh’s behavior. His apology is the final piece for me.
After Josh came home Walter and Audrey scolded Josh for being done with Drake and they remind him they're BROTHERS no matter what and they are a FAMILY so he doesn't have to like Drake but they are bound together forever as a family and they remind Josh of the good times he had with Drake over the years
Good perspective. Still i think Josh had the gigantic heart to decide that enough was enough and that he didnt want to know life without drake anymore, as someday he potentially would have to without choice.

@@CT.editor Took me no time write a comment like this. This is a walk in the park for me. I can sprawl out my thoughts very fast. You should see how fast I wrote essays in school.
I’m honestly shocked that there are people who are against Josh in this episode. Drake has caused him needless trouble as well as took advantage of him numerous times throughout the series. Yet, when Josh finally reaches a breaking point with all that nonsense and decides to cut him off, _HE’S_ the bad guy? I’m at a loss for words.
This surprises me too because Josh had every right to cut someone as toxic as Drake out of his life. And even then, he wasn’t angrily yelling at Drake, there was no hostility, he was simply done. Josh was civil and treated Drake like a roommate, although there wasn’t love, there wasn’t hate either. Josh was the bigger person here because everything was warranted, and even at the end, he couldn’t stand the sight of Drake suffering because he knew how it felt from personal experience.
It honestly doesnt matter what someone that toxic thinks.....if people are mad at Josh for making the healthy decision then theyre as toxic as drake was in this episode....and I would be done with them too.
I like how with the episodes filmed after this, their dynamic is a little bit different. Yea it's still drake and josh, but by this point they feel like equals who equally depend upon one another in their lives.
This episode honestly was the most dramatic one of all Drake & Josh episodes, and maybe so becomes a reality, but that's not the point. The semi-ending part with the chemistry class where Drake realizes he needs Josh in his life more than Josh does while Josh felt bad as if his punishment to Drake was too harsh were kinda heart wrenching that maybe it's an Emmy worth performance lol. I used to thought Josh deciding to cut Drake out of his life was somewhat justifiable maybe coming from someone like Josh who's actually mature and responsible who had to become obligated of pointing out what's right and wrong to someone who is irresponsible and careless is somehow relatable. However, looking back at this, Josh acts like he's the perfect person as if he never done anything bad to Drake before. Yes, Drake has done bad things to Josh sometimes, but it doesn't mean he had to be cut off from Josh's life for good. What happened to also try cutting Megan out of his life since she's done way worse things to him (especially doing bad things on Josh the most) more than Drake has ever done to him, so Josh needs to get off his high horse.
Has anyone forgotten that Josh signed the creative control of a contract that messes up Drake's Super Bowl song? It depends if that episode took place before or after this episode.
@@ashleynguyen4827 The episode you are referring to is "Really Big Shrimp", which is the series finale and it takes place after. However the difference is that Josh signed the contract without reading it; it was a dumb move/mistake which he felt bad about. Drake also never "cut" Josh off in that episode. They still talked and argued like they always did in the series. In this episode "Josh Is Done", Drake is pretty callous in his actions and didn't seem to care how they affected Josh and it took Josh cutting him off completely for him to realize how hurtful his actions were.
I understood Drake when he passionately apologized to Josh. That was somewhat like me when apologizing and explaining a rude comment to a coworker today. I was struggling with understanding some instructions she was giving, and later tried to explain how my brain was working at the time to limit me. She said something about how she didn't know how to make it clearer. So I guess the same way you would tell someone, "Well, I don't know what to tell ya." I considered this offensive, I think because...when people question why a disabled learner doesn't understand something, I condemn that. For example, you NEVER make a dyslexic feel bad because they couldn't read something small and simple. Simple to you, but not to them. I consider certain people prejudiced against people with learning disabilities, and I started to develop this new philosophy: Fight prejudice with prejudice. And that's what I did, but it didn't turn out well. After her said comment, I replied, "It's a good thing you're only an art teacher" (her other job). She said, "Excuse me?" What I intended to mean was that it would be bad luck for Special Ed kids to have her as a teacher, to make them feel ever worse about themselves, should she be impatient with their struggles. I don't think she grasped that particular meaning at that specific moment, but later, she told me what I said was hurtful, and I think unintentionally belittling her intelligence. I clarified what I meant and why I said it. How I was annoyed with how people react to my brain working differently and not understanding tasks, how I consider these people bigots, and how I wanted to express that to make them feel bad, for making me feel bad. You have issues with my brain, I have issues with your prejudice." It sounded to me she understood where I was coming and why I said something out of pure anger. I told her I was wrong and really sorry. It was kind of a big talk, and she said she can be a btch on stressful days at work and when there is so much to be done and she doesn't have enough patience for delayed understanding. One of those "in the moment" annoyances, if you guys know that feeling. I even apologized to her before she left the building, reminding her that my comment had nothing to do with beaching a teacher, just fighting back against a supposed bigot. She said I was fine and told me to lock the door of a certain room before leaving. I don't know, I still feel awful. I don't like when people are annoyed with me for not understanding tasks, just because they don't have the *_context_* of my point of view and interpretations. So in a way, it feels kind of good to express my annoyance and use the people's annoyance against them. In other words, indicate they're superficial bigots who don't think very deeply or seek context. I'd rather bully a homophobe than a gay person, just for their prejudices, if that helps clarify my point.
Josh had every right to cut Drake out of his life. I think this is the only episode that made me cry, especially towards the end when Drake apologizes to Josh about everything he's ever done.
If Walter and Audrey were in the episode Audrey would harshly scold Drake for his selfish shenanigans that he caused Josh to be done with him and harshly telling Drake he doesn't know what "I'm Sorry" means to someone and to think about what he did to Josh Then later Walter scolds Josh for being done with Drake and telling him their brothers and they're a FAMILY no matter what he doesn't have to like Drake but their bound together forever as a family and he reminds Josh of all the good times he had with Drake over the years causing Josh to remember then forgives Drake

And he always prioritises girls instead of his own brother.
At least drake finally learned his lesson and realized not to take Josh for granted.

This is the first taste of boundaries I've ever had in my life. I've never forgot it. Specially when I'm not being treated fairly.
I miss those Drake & Josh days 😢😢😢
Josh also admitted that he and Helen have been getting along well since he kicked Drake out of his life. It made me remember how Drake never got along with Mrs. Hayfer while he had the 'good life.'
Josh always worked hard for Helen but yet she always treated him unfavourably. That changed in this episode after cutting Drake out. While Mrs Hayfer always loved to make Drake's life a living hell unreasonably causing Drake and her to never change their attitudes.
The sad part is, this episode actually became reality and now Drake wasn't invited to Josh's wedding despite being close friends for many many years.

Seems like a pretty intense episode, with a very important lesson (Don't take your friends for granted). But the episode also showed us that Drake and Josh found the definitive best way to play ping pong.

c. late 2000s I remember D&J went on some kind of morning show, promoting their Xmas movie.

If you're nothing without Josh, Drake...
You don't deserve to have him.
I think Walter and Audrey had a talk with Josh offscreen when he came home from school after drakes apology

Some people just think drake was in the right but I was definitely with Josh this episode

Drake takes this to far this time
Josh had every right to cut Drake out of his life. I think this is the only episode that made me cry, especially towards the end when Drake apologizes to Josh about everything he's ever done.
What happened to him your brother
It's hard to watch this now after what's happened between them recently.
If Walter and Audrey were in the episode Audrey would harshly scold Drake for his selfish shenanigans that he caused Josh to be done with him and harshly telling Drake he doesn't know what "I'm Sorry" means to someone and to think about what he did to Josh
Then later Walter scolds Josh for being done with Drake and telling him their brothers and they're a FAMILY no matter what he doesn't have to like Drake but their bound together forever as a family and he reminds Josh of all the good times he had with Drake over the years causing Josh to remember then forgives Drake
