If you look at the sequence in 3:07, it's how Black steadily started to look away from White as they grow up. Thus, White started to get close to other people to make Black jealous of him, the same way he was jealous of Black starting to look away from him. Implying that this song can actually be sung from both sides, as both are trying to manipulate each other into never leaving them.
But why the white left the black alone at the end tho? Even burnt the place just like in Hansel and Gretel story. They burnt the black witch. There is also hints of separation : lyric of "stay as friend" and white's hand drift away from black's hand. Maybe after knowing the black's true intentions, white left his house full of games and mangas and never come back as before? But there is no sign disgust on white's face. He even seems enjoyed it. He smiled when noticed black's jealously through their puberty, when he with him under the holy robe, and when he left the house forever. That's left me with even more confussion. When you left your friend because he have "more than friend" intention, aren't it will left you with sad face or even disgust? The conclusion is confused me of two scenario in my mind : The white left black after know his intentions. Or, the white set it up all of this and make black jealous in purpose then left him at the end in evil smile.

It s like bl manhwa "checkmate" where black guy want to possess blonde guy, and blonde guy know his character and he accept all of his acts and words, kinda sweet couple
Hey, I've noticed smth.... (this is going to be a VERY long analysis, and HEAVILY based from the imagery of the video 😅, and some English comments I've read, cause I can't read Japanese... I wish I could tho🥲... but nothing from the lyrics.) (Note: Black guy = Black, White guy = White) @0:07 'La ta ta' - it already tells us the story with the 3 images: an old witch looking white figure, 2 children, a youthful white figure draped in a black cloak. This isn't Hansel and Gretel but rather the story between White and Black. The witch figure is White and the youth in a black cloak is Black. Starting from childhood they met, White has been aware of his desire to be in control of/to have Black @3:07, hence the witch looking figure. Obviously the youth draped in black is Black, cause A) the choker @0:59 and B) from the carousel scene @2:18. It indicates that Black has been developing his desire for White’s attention when he notices White was talking to other people, thus for the black cloak. But the white colour of him could represent his non-desire for White, which he could be in a state of bouncing back and forth of feeling uncertainty. @0:33-0:39, pay attention to the transition, from the gingerbread wall where we can see White, then the rotation to view Black and his room’s walls. White in-front of the gingerbread house suggests that this is White’s perspective, not a normal house but a GINGERBREAD house. The fairytale themed story of Hansel and Gretel, indicates that White has thought it’s like the story of Hansel and Gretel. The children desiring for the candy (short term) and the witch desiring for the children (long term), then there’s Black who’s desiring for White’s attention but White is wanting Black in general. Due to the childlike images, this also may suggest that White has been planning his scheme for a very long time, (probably back when they first met! @3:07). Whilst Black is in-front of his normal looking wall, suggests that he hasn’t been planning as long as White. @1:11, the scene of a witch capturing a small child in the cage. We are to assume that Black is the witch and White is the child. But I think it can be assumed either in the perspectives of White or Black. The competition of who has the upper hand, with White being aware of the situation whilst Black isn’t. (More analysis up ahead!) IMPORTANT::: look at their EYES!!! Throughout the whole video, notice how Black opens his eyes @0:30. His eyes are green, you may know it symbolises as healthy, tranquility and jealousy. Black’s jealousy eyes has been revealed early on in this video, from White being at his door tells us that he’s been very eager to get White’s attention. Even @0:47, Black was directly looking at us with disgust, implying that he doesn’t want to be disturbed. Also at the carousel scene @2:18, notice how Black’s eyes weren’t open until he saw White talking to the other person? It really proves that Black’s jealousy was established around that time. BIG NOTICE HERE::: WHITE’s EyE’s WeREn’t ShOWn/OpENed until @2:56.... Heck! They weren’t even shown during the carousel scene! Why is this significant? Well.. this confirms that White's been holding back his true side from Black, until Black's jealousy was shown @1:50. Black was embracing White for a while, from holding hands, cupping his cheek, grabbing to rip down his top, nearly kissing each other(?). But nothing had made White’s eyes open (symbolising Black is seeking attention). Until Black calmed down and kissed White’s hands, giving an impression of giving up or opening a vulnerable side of Black (loosing the black cape and snake, the snake is like The Garden of Eden = greed = attention seeking). But up to now, White didn’t do anything but let Black toy with him for the WhOlE TiME, and so White went into action and put a spiked choker on Black’s neck. Black is in White’s control. As Black closed his eyes, White opened his. They NEVER open back again as Black is satisfied, he's got he wanted. White’s attention. His jealousy is gone. But White’s looking at him as if Black is the prize out of all things. Also note: Yellow can symbolise happiness, enlightenment, caution, jealousy and deceit. Yes. White could feel a bit of jealousy, but he is cautious and deceitful. His facade is the caring figure @3:07, creating a different character in front of everyone including Black. Leaving Black to believe that he had won the upper hand. But in fact White was waiting for the right moment for Black to show off his eagerness for White, and being deceitful pays off, as then White won the upper hand. @3:13 with the sea of blue fire, burning Black along with the house… I read somewhere in the comments that White was wanting to get rid (burn) of Black’s sanity and keep the mentally mad side. Making them both equally desiring for each other. Here I think that would make sense, as both were crying @3:05, giving a sense of relief. Signifying that they had achieved what they’d wanted, Black's got White attention (short term) and White's got Black completely (long term). Moreover when White’s covering Black the white cloak, it implies that he and White are the same. Linking back to the beginning, the white youthful figure cloaked in dark was corrupted of desire. But instead it’s a dark youthful figure who’s tainted in a white cloak, showing the whole confusing plot twist. All that I can say is that this video is about the final conclusion of who was the superior, who had the stronger desire and who was the bigger manipulator. Welp that's all I can say... Hope that helps and clear some things up!
Thank you that was really interesting, Il love analysis like those. Maybe you should try Milgram too, that's songs that you should analyze to say if you want to forgive or not the prisoner

after scouring jp comments + overthinking the lyrics my clown interpretation of the song is shiro (white shirt-kun) playing the very very long game to be the only one to Possess kuro (black shirt-kun). ofc the marvel of this song is how its v open to interpretation thank u halyosy... amatsuki... RAHWIA... everyone that worked on the song... theres so much wordplay in this song that im going nuts (halyosy went so hard sniffs i love this sm) w/ the one that stands out the most being お菓子 okashi (sweets), which i'd like to think is a homophone for おかしい okashii (strange/abnormal) reflecting the nature of. i guess the entire song jkdsdfkj gesture vaguely BUT tldr: shiro slowly drives kuro own a path of insecurity and insanity by becoming closer with 'that girl' while knowing kuro is terrified of shiro leaving him until sike kuro is wholly dependent on shiro and shiro metaphorically kills the old normal kuro pre-shiro essentially mindbreaking (.) him and metaphorically burns his entire life bc SHIRO is his life know kuro's life is WHOLLY in shiro's hands. shiro destroys their friendship, yes, bc kuro is finally All His. kuro is no longer a friend anymore kuro is just. shiro's. in general. at 0:17 seconds the lyrics (ヒト科振り) roughly means pretending to be a hominid (w/ hominid = scientific classifying term for primates + humans and their ancestors) → i think this is shiro's self awareness of how truly Yandere (tm) he is + the importance of pretending to be Normal to lure his prey (kuro) in. the title screen w/ shiro approaching the house is more like a captor returning to check in on their poor imprisoned prisoner kuro's fear of being abandoned by shiro bc he doesn't know a life w/o shiro now leads him to take increasingly Drastic Measures and become a Bad Person → 2:32 where kuro realizes (is tricked into believing) that his projected future has 'retired' aka is Gone, oh No leading to the events of the song. throughout the song kuro is def deathly jealous of あの子 'anoko' (meaning 'that person', tho more commonly used to refer to females / children imo) and wants shiro to like idk 0:55 'defeat me with those hands that caressed that person' → kuro knows he is Interfering in shiro's relationship w/ that girl by taking as much of shiro's time as possible bc pls shiro is HIS friend not some person's BOYFRIEND shiro will always be HIS FRIEND FIRST and HIS FRIEND ONLY while at 1:57 'corrupt / defile me with those fingertips that touched that person' → oh no shiro your plan is working! kuro is so scared that he'll lose you to someone else and he'll be left all alone that his feelings r rearing its head in a more desperate manner! 2:43's → 'with the two hands that held that person, strangle* (締める shimeru) me' *tho to note, this phrase simply means to tighten / tie (down) and i think this is the point where kuro just ups and places his entire life in shiro's hands bc he's that consumed by jealousy and Knows that he is Abnormal now (and perhaps doesnt want to taint shiro with his unpure twisted feelings or smth) imo i think kuro was genuinely a v sweet person and good friend bc shiro knew that and Used that - kuro never suspected a thing of shiro who is a Good person (2:59 → the pieta statue imagery w/ shiro as the holy saintly pure and good virgin mary + 3:06's 'hotokesan' → its not in kanji, so it could mean buddha the deity himself, someone saint-like, or polite speech for... someone dead? i am NOT so sure on the last one its been a while) with that in mind i dont think kuro necessarily thinks of shiro explicitly in a romantic way at the start; he just rly wants shiro to stay by his side in whatever capacity possible and grows more desperate and more insecure and more Twisted while shiro is Very Aware of just exactly what he feels for kuro and how strongly he's felt it (ever since he was a little kid... poor kuro... this has been a long time coming) it's precisely this imbalance between their self-awareness of the intensity of their feelings that leads to kuro falling into shiro's trap (which.. he may have been laying down for YEARS now re: 3:07) and shiro successfully sdkjf twists kuro's feelings from friendship admiration etc etc to desperate dependence . tldr of tldr: shiro slowly lures childhood friend kuro into his trap by making kuro desperately jealous of him, driving him to breaking point before 'saving' him by destroying his (normal) entire life and being until kuro is Nothing but something of shiro's and something of shiro's to be Enjoyed bc shiro just Loves Him That Much.
@@labradorite7051 more like a merry bad end But oh well, at least they’re together. (Tbh someone said that shiro killed kuro and burned the house down so I’m kinda scared. This theory really did cheer me up somehow...)
... I started watching this for the killer art... but now I've gotten an entire book plot and character backgrounds from this. It's not the same as the video however it was inspired by it... and because I ran into writer's block I had a dream about the two characters... This was a fun rabbit hole😅
Do you write on any platform? I'd really like to see your stories if you have any :P and I'm totally interested if you do end up writing about these characters ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
@@jaehaha Aha, I do write stories, however, the only ones I've posted are based off of already made stories/worlds. I have many different worlds with tons of different stories I've created myself, however, I've been going through a severe writer's block, so only the stories I've already written are fully done and completed😅 If I do release the story, I'll be sure to let you know(it's probably gonna be on Wattpad)
Ok so I just realized this after watching it for the nth times but for the briefest moment on 3:08 you can see Shiro's POV and it's seen from when they were little to becoming an adult, and at that flashback Kuro's gaze on Shiro started to slowly drifted apart, from chatting and looking directly at Shiro when they were a kid to just smiling to somewhere else that's not Shiro when they've grown up. Meanwhile all this time Shiro was looking fondly over Kuro and never leaving his eyes. But it was at the adult time that Shiro dropped his smile previously seen and realized that Kuro is not attached to him as he is and immediately after that it flickers to Shiro, as an adult, smiling viciously. And I'm theorising that's what lead to 2:31 where Shiro starts getting closer to "anoko" and make Kuro jealous and scheme this whole thing.
The ending was such a plot twist. If I'm not wrong, in the beginning its shown that the black hair is into/obsessed with the light haired dude, but at the end, its shown that light haired dude is also obsessed with the dark haired guy, and (not sure about this part) may have manipulated dark haired dude into becoming obsessed with him and has dark haired due in the palm of his hand.
Something about this song and the music video makes me coming back for more. I replayed this 116+ times since the moment I've discovered this three days ago. It's shocking even to myself.
My theory : ~Main points~ 1. Many says that Kuro (black robe boy) and Shiro (white shirt boy) are both yanderes, and both wants to have each other for themself. Sadly, I think that's not the case. Kuro indeed want to have Shiro all for him, but Shiro might only want to be friends. 2. Many says that the candy house was belong to Shiro to imprison Kuro. But it might beloged to Kuro, and Shiro burnt that candy house down when Kuro still in it. Why? Because as referred to Hansel & Gretel story, Kuro attempted to lure Shiro into his hand by 'sweet candies', and Shiro eventually realized that and managed to stop what going on then burnt the candy house. 3. And most sadly, they are not ended up together. ~Explanations~ ▪ The VM creator heavily referenced Hansel & Gretel story for this video with Kuro as the black sorcerer and Shiro as Hansel/Gretel. You can see candy house inside a forest with Kuro had black sorcerer robe, thus the title of this song "Le mal sorcier". ▪ Kuro's candy house represents how Kuro always try to lure Shiro with games and mangas at his house to make Shiro always come and play with him and spend most of his time just with Kuro. ▪ Through the puberty just like every teenagers, Shiro began to look and talk to a girl. Kuro noticed that and got jealous. ▪ Shiro actually knew the motivation of Kuro and noticed his jealously. He's smiling like "ah, so it's true that you are seeing me that way". ▪ Kuro in the end realized that Shiro got notice his feeling. He also realized he can't "trap" forever his friend with him just with games and mangas. ▪ In the end with both know already what actually going on between them then having a farewell to end this uncomfortable relationship. Kuro ask Shiro to end his hope by Shiro's "own hands". Shiro then depicted put back all that candies back to Kuro's neck, killed Kuro (metaphorically of course), hold Kuro for one last time, put a white robe, lit the fire, and finally burn down the candy house forever, while Kuro still inside it and alone. ▪ The burning house with Kuro inside is reference of Hansel & Gretel in the tale eventually managed to get out from the witch candy house, and burn the candy house when the witch still trapped inside it. It's represents that Shiro in the end "free" from Kuro's house. He no longer spend all his time with Kuro in his house with games and mangas anymore as he know already what Kuro's true intention with him is. Thus what is burned candy house in the end depicted for. ~Summary~ With all that reference of the tale story and how well the VM is depicted I can guess that both not ended up together. Kuro indeed have more-than-friend interest for Shiro, but Shiro see him only as a friend. If that is true, it's suggested that Kuro like fellow male, but Shiro possibly is not. Wether they are still be friends after that or not is unclear, but Shiro not anymore visit Kuro's house or spend his time with him because he know what Kuro's intention is. Thus, he managed to escape his friend's candy house. It's a sad ending, folks. But it's beautifully made VM that made me took obsession for several days. PS : They may had sex at the farewell, Kuro asked it as farewell token. The depiction is on 2:43. Kuro want Shiro to "kill" him with the hands that once held "her". Then the depictions is non vulgar but symbolic. At the end the lyric is "may the dish taste delicious". You can go back to beginning there is also a lyric say "be rippen and be tasty" or something like that. It's implied Shiro gave what Kuro lust for so long and hope it's really taste good like he wanted to be.
IMO the main thing that takes away from the interpretation that Shiro doesn't want Kuro are the frames in 3:07 where we see images of them growing up and Kuro progressively turns his attention away from Shiro, which has Shiro reveal his yellow eyes (revealing his true colors). If he just wanted to stay friends he wouldn't care if Kuro doesn't pay attention to him.
From what I can tell through this story (we call them blackie and whitey), Blackie had a childhood crush turn obsession towards Whitey, so he would lure him over with mangas and video games in his place 0:51 (like hansel n Gretel with a gingerbread house), thinking Whitey is vulnerable and gulible, easy to manipulate, but unknowingly, Whitey played him all along n end up killing the latter, n burn down his place to the ground (like the hansel gretel ending). Note: Not related to the summary, but around 0:26 you will find a PS5 in the music video around the bottom left. Damn, he even got a freaking Ps5 to lure him over. This is extreme.
Actually is Blackie who puts Whitey´s hands on his own neck 2:47 maybe something like "if I can´t have you at least wanna be killed by your own hands". And at 3:00 is the same as the Pietà, symbolizing maybe the idea of how Blackie thought Whitey was someone pure and innocent, but instead of being sad/suffering (like what the sculpture is about) he is smiling, so next we realize he is actually not innocent and it was his plan long ago. So he leaves Blackie and burns down the house to erase him like he didn´t exist. Well, this is my theory. EDIT After watching the MV a few more times I realized the robe must have a meaning. What I found out is the robe means protection. So Whitey puts his robe on Blackie with tears in his eyes and kissed him goodbay 3:05, then he let go and burns the house but we see Blackie one last time with the robe on to protect him of the flames(?). Maybe Whitey actually loved Blackie but as he is very much yandere so well, you know... kill your love one.
@@labradorite7051 I'm not really sure but at 0:51 there are candies (+ 1:06, 1:15, 2:07) and there's Whitey on Blackie's lap symbolizing how "sweet" stuffs are Blackie's way of manipulating Whitie, so when Whitie puts his hands around Blackie's neck it's like he got killed with the same method he was using. Something like what comes around goes around. Another explanation could be that all the "sweets" Blackie gave Whitie that make Whitie fall for him, now that Blackie asks him to kill him he returns them to him, that´s why he cries when he leaves him. Maybe Whitie wasn´t yandere at the beginning but the more he loved Blackie he started to change.
Ok, basically, Oracle (the one in the white cloak at the end), loses someone dear to him, goes to the Sorcerer (the one in the black cloak) who tries to manipulate him into depending on him with his sweets/candy house, only to have the tables turned on him because Oracle manipulated him into being dependent on him. There you go.

Hey, I've noticed smth.... (this is going to be a VERY long analysis, and HEAVILY based from the imagery of the video 😅, and some English comments I've read, cause I can't read Japanese... I wish I could tho🥲... but nothing from the lyrics.) (Note: Black guy = Black, White guy = White)
@0:07 'La ta ta' - it already tells us the story with the 3 images: an old witch looking white figure, 2 children, a youthful white figure draped in a black cloak.
(More analysis up ahead!)
IMPORTANT::: look at their EYES!!!

「Oracle, Oracle
→oracle ……

after scouring jp comments + overthinking the lyrics my clown interpretation of the song is shiro (white shirt-kun) playing the very very long game to be the only one to Possess kuro (black shirt-kun). ofc the marvel of this song is how its v open to interpretation thank u halyosy... amatsuki... RAHWIA... everyone that worked on the song...
theres so much wordplay in this song that im going nuts (halyosy went so hard sniffs i love this sm) w/ the one that stands out the most being お菓子 okashi (sweets), which i'd like to think is a homophone for おかしい okashii (strange/abnormal) reflecting the nature of. i guess the entire song jkdsdfkj gesture vaguely
BUT tldr: shiro slowly drives kuro own a path of insecurity and insanity by becoming closer with 'that girl' while knowing kuro is terrified of shiro leaving him until sike kuro is wholly dependent on shiro and shiro metaphorically kills the old normal kuro pre-shiro essentially mindbreaking (.) him and metaphorically burns his entire life bc SHIRO is his life know kuro's life is WHOLLY in shiro's hands.
shiro destroys their friendship, yes, bc kuro is finally All His. kuro is no longer a friend anymore kuro is just. shiro's. in general.
at 0:17 seconds the lyrics (ヒト科振り) roughly means pretending to be a hominid (w/ hominid = scientific classifying term for primates + humans and their ancestors) → i think this is shiro's self awareness of how truly Yandere (tm) he is + the importance of pretending to be Normal to lure his prey (kuro) in. the title screen w/ shiro approaching the house is more like a captor returning to check in on their poor imprisoned prisoner
kuro's fear of being abandoned by shiro bc he doesn't know a life w/o shiro now leads him to take increasingly Drastic Measures and become a Bad Person → 2:32 where kuro realizes (is tricked into believing) that his projected future has 'retired' aka is Gone, oh No leading to the events of the song.
throughout the song kuro is def deathly jealous of あの子 'anoko' (meaning 'that person', tho more commonly used to refer to females / children imo) and wants shiro to like idk 0:55 'defeat me with those hands that caressed that person' → kuro knows he is Interfering in shiro's relationship w/ that girl by taking as much of shiro's time as possible bc pls shiro is HIS friend not some person's BOYFRIEND shiro will always be HIS FRIEND FIRST and HIS FRIEND ONLY
while at 1:57 'corrupt / defile me with those fingertips that touched that person' → oh no shiro your plan is working! kuro is so scared that he'll lose you to someone else and he'll be left all alone that his feelings r rearing its head in a more desperate manner!
2:43's → 'with the two hands that held that person, strangle* (締める shimeru) me' *tho to note, this phrase simply means to tighten / tie (down) and i think this is the point where kuro just ups and places his entire life in shiro's hands bc he's that consumed by jealousy and Knows that he is Abnormal now (and perhaps doesnt want to taint shiro with his unpure twisted feelings or smth)
imo i think kuro was genuinely a v sweet person and good friend bc shiro knew that and Used that - kuro never suspected a thing of shiro who is a Good person (2:59 → the pieta statue imagery w/ shiro as the holy saintly pure and good virgin mary + 3:06's 'hotokesan' → its not in kanji, so it could mean buddha the deity himself, someone saint-like, or polite speech for... someone dead? i am NOT so sure on the last one its been a while)
with that in mind i dont think kuro necessarily thinks of shiro explicitly in a romantic way at the start; he just rly wants shiro to stay by his side in whatever capacity possible and grows more desperate and more insecure and more Twisted while shiro is Very Aware of just exactly what he feels for kuro and how strongly he's felt it (ever since he was a little kid... poor kuro... this has been a long time coming)
it's precisely this imbalance between their self-awareness of the intensity of their feelings that leads to kuro falling into shiro's trap (which.. he may have been laying down for YEARS now re: 3:07) and shiro successfully sdkjf twists kuro's feelings from friendship admiration etc etc to desperate dependence .
tldr of tldr: shiro slowly lures childhood friend kuro into his trap by making kuro desperately jealous of him, driving him to breaking point before 'saving' him by destroying his (normal) entire life and being until kuro is Nothing but something of shiro's and something of shiro's to be Enjoyed bc shiro just Loves Him That Much.

3:07
THANK YOU
@Pachiidesu I think shiro means white, and there is a character who has white as the main colour palette in the mv
@@Pachiidesu No it's just that "shiro" means "white" in Japanese while "kuro" means "black". So white shirt guy = Shiro and black shirt guy = Kuro.

My theory :
~Main points~
~Explanations~
▪ The VM creator heavily referenced Hansel & Gretel story for this video with Kuro as the black sorcerer and Shiro as Hansel/Gretel.
~Summary~
With all that reference of the tale story and how well the VM is depicted I can guess that both not ended up together.
@@mariavalon It's can be mean that Shiro actually know what Kuro's intention all these times.
【le mar sorcier(ル・マル・ソルシエ)】は『邪悪な魔術師』という意味

Amatsuki's voice 🔥 but my fujoshi self is kicking in
I love whoever was that comment that pointed out Shiro's eyes didn't open until Kuro's eyes closed when Kuro has given up and Shiro took action
EDIT
After watching the MV a few more times I realized the robe must have a meaning.
@@danniluna1872 Damn, that also make sense. They are both after all Yandere
I'm curious about the candy necklace around Blackie's neck at 2:58. Anyone has an idea what that symbolizes?
