Hi Fred, I've been listening to your videos most of the day in my workshop while refinishing the top of an archtop I made a few years ago which had a little accident. I'm thinking of fitting one of those Biltoft CC floating pickups on it. I sometimes see them on ebay but none on just now. I must say that one with the L5 sounds pretty good to me! All your guitars sound great! You have great guitars, great chops and great taste in music....perhaps not so great in socks though! You are, I believe, as the saying goes, "A man after my own heart". Keep safe and keep making the wonderful music!
@@FredArchtop Wow! I use the same on my Heritage Golden Eagle 1996. Which is in essence the same guitar you're playing:-) However, I have the floating pickup, 'cause I would have sworn that you were playing on smaller strings. It's always interesting to hear the differences, using different amps and picks. Or maybe it's just the plectrum... I don't know. Thanks anyway for the answer. Have a great one!
Fred, you are doing a great service here, putting out such beautiful expressions and tones into the world, thank you.
Thanks!
One of my favorite tunes. Keep it up! You're good!
OMG, I'm drooling over the L5C with CC, oh and the improvised lines are great too :-)
Thanks Russel.
..now this one I like,..great reading Fred.👍🎸💗🎼
I feel the same about this standard -- your lines and tone are fantastic on it!
Thanks for your comments. I lke the tone too with my new BAM 200 amp head.

Thanks Norman. Socks are a gift from my daughter :)
Delightful lines, tone, guitar. Jimmy Raney is the best. Always look forward to your videos. Are those cats on the socks?
Thanks for your comments. Jimmy was an incredible creative guitarist. And yes, these are cats. A gift from my daughter...
Joli jeu !
Merci. Si je passe sur Lille, j'essaierai de vous rendre visite. Bonne continuation.
I love Charlie Christian pups, & this one is riding a vintage L5. If this axe was a natural finish, I think I would slit my throat in envy.
Thanks John. A blonde one would be untouchable...at least for me.
Yeah, again some good ol' grooving man!
I wonder what strings on this nice Gibbie?
Thanks Herman. I'm using Thomastik-Infled flatwound strings. Model is Swing 12-50. Best to you.

With practice maybe I’ll attain that left hand efficiency. Lovely playing
Thanks Mojokex. Practicing is the key.
Will epiphone emperor regent fit with this CC pickup?
Yes, sure. There is plenty of room between the top and the strings. Best.
Jazz master
Thanks but...no, just jazz player.
