This plane always catches ME off guard as well as my rivals, if somebody takes it for granted it game over. I've noticed that in a stall it's not the worst thing ever for being a twin boom
surprised u like this. I prefer the ki 83, the guns on this thing don't consistently do damage from my experience, but I barely have any games in it. Nutty reversal at the start.
@@ushikiii I feel the exact opposite lol, the guns work great for me on this thing while I get sparks like crazy with the ki83. The only advantage I see with the ki83 is its climb and acceleration, other than that the J5N is the way for me :)
@@liamboyle9199 they do spark alot on both planes from my experience. Also, haven't spades the J5, I barely touched it. Only got in it because someone asked me to thus I have default belts. Could also explain my poor experience. I mainly prefer the 83 over the looks and insane climb rate, the guns are good but they are inconsistent.
@@ushikiii Navy 20-mils are better than Army 20-mils. Don't know about the 30s. (With the Navy, there is an Early & a Late model. The Army has just one.)
@@erikhesjedal3569 I think they have the same velocity now after the nerf, but I’d have to check to be 100% sure. The lower fuse definitely helps the damage feel better
I think the wobbling issue comes from the flight control nerf, its CAOA is limited at 80% in a sustained turn. J5 turns much harder in full real control. Also I checked the datamine and there's no flight model change since 1.89
Mac how are you flying while being able to keep an eye on the enemy? When i fly like this in free look and use keyboard, my plane will constantly auto level and fight me every time i let any key on the keyboard go. Please tell me.
@@flameout12345 it may be the instructor restricting your planes movement. There’s an option in controls to turn it off. I also use free look, not tracking target.

That is indeed all free look. I’m honestly not 100% sure as I’ve never had an issue controlling my plane whilst using free look. I know there is an option to self level the plane when using the bomb sights, so maybe it’s something similar? I’m afraid you’ll have to do some trial and error in your settings.

Didn't know about the fuse but the Japanese 30mm tracers rounds are also faster than the stealths

You don't use free look, use focus target button.
Change free look to hold down RMB, Focus Target is not good advice, as it doesn't help you with awareness.
