I avoid looking up correspondences for anything, I find my workings are more successful when I just trust my instincts and use things that feel right for that particular working, rather than using what someone else has decided will work. Its nice to hear I’m not alone there!

If you love morning glories, I highly recommend moonflowers. It’s from the same family of flowers as morning glories and has the same light & soil requirements. "Life enjoys giving Death gifts" is so trippy, as is the pool of energy before & after death. what a wild ride! -i've not really worked with plants but always feel drawn to do so, i felt like i really didn't know how, but i'll just try what you suggested. i think i'll head out to the woods tomorrow and go for a short hike.- i'll totally have to watch this again. thank you, -peace.

And I recognized the voice, felt so comfortable with him until he vanished before my eyes. I can't believe you were both talking about the same theory of the afterlife that I envision! I was just telling my son basically the same thing and, to take it to another level, that I believe this kind of 'reincarnation' is based on a quantum functionality. I think this might have something to do with past life memories, but also affinities we might have for places, eras, types of plants or rocks or talents or anything really. I don't believe our soul is 'human' like our bodies, we're just made up of this earth's (and maybe even the universe's) components that get broken up, swapped around & redistributed again to experience this physical plane. That's just amazing!

Your idea about reincarnation is how I see it too. Not entirely sure if it is a lineage belief but my buddhist mom had reincarbation explained like that by a high lama (teacher) too. The exact explanation is: imagine the energy for all beings as an ocean and living beings as glasses with said ocean water in it but when we die it all goes back into the ocean and once something is born it gets filled into cups/glasses.
They say once you've understood this concept of oneness not just interlectually but spiritually (the hard part being that the "good" and the "bad" parts being you/everyone/no one) and learned to not get attached to anything or anyone you'll be enlightened

LMAOOO that eye rolling of the plant 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I do understand the idea of plants being "she" do to earth deities being mostly Goddesses. I have thought about the soul being picked from different "places" before but I haven't thought of it too much though. I would TOTALLY play Olivias video game. I would love to ask Olivia if she looks at her face when she scrys because if she does there's a phenomenon and I believe it is called The Troxler Effect, it happens when you look at yourself in the mirror and your brain trys to fix your face or something and that why we usually see scary faces on our face. WOW that circle story from Olivia was COOL!!!! Another GREAT interview Ivy!!!! Maybe you could interview Annie the Green Witch in the future.

Having just moved into my own house after renting all my adult life, I can now plant a garden. But my first year here, I wanted to see what grew here already, what plants are natural here and what the old owners planted. I have so many BlackBerry bushes and I dont want to get rid of them. They seem protective to me. I have grape vine which is evasive but also seems protective. I have an old crabapple that the deer love. I hate to get rid of it although it looks sickly. I feel like I will add to what is here but I want to keep what is here. But the one plant I have that scares me is what I think is poison ivy on the big tree smack dab in the middle of my back yard. I admire her from a distance but she feels protective to the land. I need to clean up the yard first, but keep what is here in a more healthy way, if that makes sense, since it's all smushed together.

Oooh that’s so exciting!!! Maybe look into pruning your apple tree. A lot of times people think they have a crabapple tree and it turns out to be an heirloom variety that’s been neglected. They do well with regular pruning. If nothing else, you can use them to make ACV if they’re a decent size. You probably couldn’t get rid of the grapevines of you wanted to tho… Just prune them vigorously every spring and enjoy your homemade grapevine wreaths lol.

    • @danielleking3880
      @danielleking3880 Год назад

@@peckishpagan this grape vine is huge! I'm thinking more like 8 wreaths from it, maybe more! I know its impossible to get rid of and that's kind of what I mean about cleaning up the plants, most are neglected and over grown. But if I trim and tidy them up so they arent so wildly overgrown, take care of them, maybe they will look better and thrive. Then I mix in some of what I want to plant, and I could have something nice like that. It's too early here to do much. Snowed yesterday and all, but that's what I hope to do.

You should both check out the game Final Fantasy VII, that follows a similar philosophy to what you mentioned about what happens after death
    Bugenhagen
"Eventually... all humans die. What happens to them after they die? The body decomposes, and returns to the Planet. That much everyone knows. What about their consciousness, their hearts and their souls? The soul too returns to the Planet. And not only those of humans, but everything on this Planet. In fact, all living things in the universe, are the same. The spirits that return to the Planet, merge with one another and roam the Planet. They roam, converge, and divide, becoming a swell, called the 'Lifestream'. Lifestream... In other words, a path of energy of the souls roaming the Planet. 'Spirit Energy' is a word that you should never forget. A new life... children are blessed with Spirit energy and are brought into the world. Then, the time comes when they die and once again return to the Planet... Of course there are exceptions, but this is the way of the world. I've digressed, but you'll understand better if you watch this."
*On the Planet model, a man is born, and dies. His spirit energy enters the Lifestream and forms a tree elsewhere. The tree dies and returns to the Lifestream. A new man is born, and dies, etc. Eventually the Lifestream covers the entire Planet.*
    Bugenhagen
"Spirit energy makes all things possible, trees, birds, and humans."

The part about groupings of particles into atoms, sub-cellular organisms into cells, planets into systems, and onward... This reminded me of a Rob Bell talk I watched on RUclips, "Everything is Spiritual" (heads up, he's a (kind of) Christian pastor for anyone who wants that warning), in which he describes an idea of "God" in part as a force driving the evolution of individual things (starting right after the Big Bang when there weren't atoms yet) into ever-growing complexities that have their own behavior separate from their parts, like in bird flocks--called "emergence" or "epiphenomena". He suggests our destiny is to join together in such a complexity. Also reminds me of comic book artist and chaos magician Grant Morrison talking about multi-dimensional beings telling him we're like individual fingers who in a 2D world thing they're individual, but 3D beings can see they are all attached to a hand, haha.

In science there's this theory of the universe observing it self through every animal, plant, human, planet etc and that this could be what we experience as God. We are all a small piece of the godhead experiencing itself. I like this theory very much. Paulo Coelho have written a novel called "Brida" wich talks about reincarnation and soulmates in a similar way as what you guys are describing here but the way you talk about it makes much more sense and feels more loving than it did to me reading the novel. Excellent philosophical conversation. I love it.

  • @artawhirler

I agree with Ivy about being on my last deployment to Planet Earth. My studies lead me to believe that reincarnation is real, but it's voluntary; and in that case I can't see myself deciding to come back here. (especially since there must be millions of planets with life on them, and that means that we can probably reincarnate to ANY of them, as ANY type of creature, ANYWHERE. If that's true, why would I want to come back here and go to Middle School all over again?)

It's complicated as hell but we've had multiple conversations about this it's essentially the same way you guys are talking. I wouldn't say I "identify" as anything but I feel connected with pantheism in some way. Its not exactly the dictionary definition but its not an easy thing to put words to so that makes sense. I grew up around Catholicism but it never resonated with me. Then I started my psychedelic journey and that's what really pushed me toward the feeling of wholeness with everything. Every human, every plant, every rock. I cant even explain the feeling it gives me. I just KNOW. You know? There's some shit going on that we can't see in this human form

As you ladies said, there is no separation. So if there is no separation, how can there be a supreme being? If we are made of stardust, how can there be separation? I just wanted to put this out there for anyone that feels like you can't be both. There is not a box you need to fit into. Be true to yourself, even if you stand alone. Chances are... You don't. 💛

intuitively i read morning glories as protective in a gentle way?? if that makes sense. or just the beauty aspect of protective energy i suppose… because it can grow so abundantly that it forms a sort of armor of beauty around a structure. i guess it could also be good for prosperity as it does grow so plentifully. i could also see it being good for glamour work too 👀 so excited to look into that more 😄

I tend to view reincarnation as like the transfer of energy in ecology. Every tier on the food chain gets 10% of the energy that what it eats produces, and the rest is released into the ecosystem as heat. Idk how to explain how that correlates in spiritual terms, but it makes sense I promise.

What an interested topic about death. Your theory about “life” after death was thought provoking for me as I have never thought about it that way. It does make sense but it would mean we lose control over “self.” You wouldn’t have the option of never being recycled again because a piece of your current self would always be apart of the next cycle of life. So those of us who choose not to be reborn again, it would essentially be impossible unless there is a point that which we can identify us as “self.” No? Just a thought.

This was so interesting to listen to. I especially love to hear about your theories about what happens to us after we die. Because when I had some shamanic training I had a similar experience during a shamanic journey: a place of light, peace, calmness and oneness with all other beings there. It was so profound for me to experience that. Ever since then, I have lost my fear of dying and death. Thanks for talking about this and the other topics. 💚

I share the same theory on the afterlife. I tend to refer to the collective unconscious as an ocean, and all living things are rivers, streams, creeks, springs. Some of these have a strong flow, some are stagnant, some bubble or erupt or roil. And sometimes, these bodies of water dry up, or recede back to the one ocean, but the earth keeps a memory of them, a ravine, a dry creek bed, and these memories are how I interpret spirits. Meh, it's an evolving theory.

I'm initiated with death so it's significant. I also pass spirit so when i do, or attend a seance it's uncomfortable to pass spirits. So if im not needed i warn everyone not to let spirit pass through.
