IMPORTANT NOTE: grind the edges down on the throttle Tube end before you put the new grip on! My Pro taper grip was damaged by these edges at the end... Enjoy riding guys🤙
no... I popped the brake line out of that grommet that is on that forks and did kinda the same thing with the throttle cable I think, but yea it worked out nice, Only thing is the cross bar may make it hard to insert the key if you have a SF model depending how you angle the bars. unless you use the smaller key.
Why don't you keep the crossbrace and just put the other key on, the smaller original style key. My grom came with 2 keys, one switchblade style and one regular.
mine came with two as well. The OG groms didn't have the switch blade style key, just the smaller one. So I thought that was pretty cool and wanted to try and keep it if possible.
I did not on these bars and my other bars on my OG grom and had no issues with it. I've seen everyone doing this but thought you only do that when the wires run inside the bars(cafe style). But all good here!

Are you talking about that little lip on the end? Yea mine was close, I grabbed a soft compound grip so it would be easier to work with.
oneSMALLgarage yeah I’m
talking about this teeth on the original throttle tube... that ripped my grips😬
Oh yea if I had a dremel that would have helped greatly. I just took my sweet time with a lot of windex 😁
Did you have to re-route cables or brake hoses? As the Mini's are a higher bar than stock, correct?

I remember my first time installing grips
OOOO me too!!!! :)
Did you have to drill holes in the bars for the controlles to sit properly?

oneSMALLgarage you saved me drilling shit thanks ; ) ..
No problem man!
