      The only match where she hasn’t been destroying her opponent in Rome was when she injured Kalinskaya with the drop shot and she was worried about Kalinskaya getting hurt even more running after shots.

      We will see... well the change of the surface is certainly improtant, but what bothered iga was the speed and trajectory of rybakina's shots... the clay reduces the speed of the ball but marginally the speed reduction of rybakina's shots might not be enough for iga to be as comfortable as she is with other players... especially minding that rybakina's shots are flat and not sitting on iga's extreme gripped forehand as other's top spinned shots... well we gonna see, of course if she passes vekic

      @@LobsterFromMars I wrote that to win against Iga Yelena has to raise her first serve from today's 60% to about 70% to win against Iga. These 10% more will make a huge difference and will quickly discourage Iga from fighting, she will give up seeing that she is being shot out again. That's how it was in their last two matches - Iga couldn't do anything with her return...

      @@axelltullup2638 Not only that, Rybakina hits low-trajectory shots that make it hard for Iga to use her top-spin, and Iga can't do anything about it. Add to that how Rybakina punishes Iga's second serves, she's now intimidated. It does help Swiatek to be on her favorite playing surface. If she gets by Vekic, it could be a great match.

    Not sure if Elena can win, but she can at least trouble Iga with this level of play. Despite Iga's consistent dominance and blowout performances against lesser lights, its a different story if the opponent can keep the scoreline tight.

    A swift revival occurred in the mobility and agility of Rybakina with reference to the other encounters during the clay court season. I believe that she will be more consistent than the previous period. Even so, it won't be adequate to conquer the potent adversaries in the upcoming rounds

    Helena is a working girl,her game can only be seen progressing.She is a shot maker,i would like her to inspire from sampras and federer style of play.They were aggressives from the baseline and would go the net on any short balls.The key for her is to make the opponent play her passing shot while in movement and getting more comfortable in the net.

    2023 is Ryba's year, there is no many points to defend towards the end of this year, she could probably be at least at top 3 soon

    • @potzysk2
      @potzysk2 Год назад +1

      True, she lost in the first round of the US Open 2022, so any matches she wins there will add ranking points. She won Wimbledon 2022 but got no points there either. But other players also have no points to defend at Wimbledon. She won two matches at the French last year, so she can add points there if she wins more than two rounds.

      She could honestly lose the 1st round of Roland Garros and still get there from Wimbledon and a few rounds at the US Open alone.
      After winning Wimbledon Rybakina was angry that she wasn’t treated like a champion and didn’t play well anywhere except Ostrava.
