Thank you for this video Jen!!! I have always liked the sass. You are so honest about your reviews that when they cross a line it's for a good reason!!! I have a lot of respect for the honesty. I will be sure to steer clear of these books!!! Peace. 😊🤗📚❤🔥

Hi Jen, I enjoy your “worst books” videos because I end up reading some of them and liking it, “F*ck It” sounds interesting, putting on my tbr. I guess what you don’t like, I like it 😂. I wish you would do more videos like this.

I love the rants about all the bad books. You already know how much I hated Seeds of Malice since I had to rant to you about it 😂😂

I live for the rants! and to be honest sometimes it makes me want to read the book 😂😂 But I agree "The Parolee by Kate Rivenhall isn't good.

I hate a hidden child trope too. It just feels so wrong. I DNFed a book that had that coupled with a family death because it just felt like...how do you come back from that? There's no HEA after that. Maybe - just maybe - you could make up for the whole "not telling him about his kid" thing (that's a big maybe). But once a family member dies, there's no fixing anything. I also totally agree that the miscommunication trope is okay in some scenarios. It can work but it needs to be done well, and in a way where we as readers aren't hitting our foreheads like "How is this still a problem?" ~Caroline

You have made my year spectacular… I love your channel…I’ve read so many new books because of you… my worst read of the year was J.T Geissinger, Perfect Strangers…. I wanted to throw the book…I was so mad… I respect the authors gift of shocking the reader. Keep being you.

I understand how videos like this aren’t fun for you but this information is important for your viewers. I rely on your reviews. My one star this year was Bolted by Wombolt and Gammage. I think they’re new authors. The story actually had cool elements but the writing was awful. I was really bummed. The idea people needed to connect with good writer people and these could be really good stories. I won’t give them a second chance. ❤️💚Thanks Jen.

Hello to my fellow readers!! I know this isn’t the perfect place to ask this but I’ve tried for months to find the title of these 2 books and I’ve used google and Reddit and can’t find it. I hope someone might know what the titles are 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Book 1: Highlander romance… the heroines uncle “saves” her from a fire her parents died in and sells her off in marriage. The hero comes along as she’s on a horse knocked out and saves her. She can speak French and galeic. She is naive and sweet and causes trouble lol the heroines uncle has 2 dogs that save her at one point too. Help!
Book 2: The FMC & MMC have a romance and she accidentally gets pregnant. She goes home to her sister , whose husband is a dectective, and their kids are so cute. While she’s there brooding about losing the hero she is kidnapped and kept in a hidden spot under the kidnappers bed. The hero eventually saves her. Pls help!!!!!

I don’t have a big rant lol but I was sad not loving jump on 3. The language in that series sounds like they are in a historical romance or something and I could nottttt get past that. Felt really unnatural. I also realized I don’t love if he basically fell for the heroine before the book starts. I like seeing the falling in love part. 48:08

I have a hard time DNFing a book, I wish I didn't when I have 1000s of other books on my TBR. Sometimes the book will be one of my favorites authors who have been writing for 40 years or so and I want to read everything in their backlist. If I'm not liking one of those books, it's often because the hero is an arrogant a-hole (just sometimes the way they were written back in the day). But I continue because I want to read the whole backlist. I did have two two-star reads this year. "Illicit Captor" by Maggie Cole, it was just something about it that didn't vibe with me. And "Alaska Wild" by Helena Newbury, which I had a lot of hope for, but it was just too far-fetched in some places. I was rolling my eyes all through it.
Ages ago, I remember reading this historical romance, where the heroine was a bit of a brat. She had injured her hands somehow. Yet whenever she was throwing a tantrum, she would repeatedly beat her hands on her bed. That was a huge "REALLY"! I couldn't go on.

My worst book of the year was Craving Danger by Michelle Heard. The first in this series was so good and then this was a one star for me. It almost felt like it was a different writer. She put bratva tattoos on a cosa nostra. One minute the heroine is a traumatized kitten who can’t be touched and the next minute she’s a sex ninja. The last 30% felt like it was written by AI. I finished that book and thought “what did I just read?”

I rarely finish a book I don't like but made a few exceptions because I wanted to know why they were so popular and loved... so low rated ones I should have dnf'd - This is How you Lose the Time War and Song of Achilles. I think I DNF'd maybe halfway through The Ritual. She really dug into the familial aspect on that one too. I only stayed as long as I did because I found the cult aspect fascinating. Have since found other books that give the cult vibes without the taboo. 😬

Katee Roberts and Stephen King are those authors that I don't like, yet for some reason I always try reading their books maybe in the hopes I'll like something.
It's unfair to judge someone because they didn't like what you do or you didn't like something they do. Everyone is different and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Its a book, it's made for entertainment and enjoyment. Why would you force yourself to read something you know you aren't going to like just because it would "offend" people? It doesn't make a lick of sense.
Read what you want, what you love. It's not serious, just have fun.
I love you and your channel Jen ❤ don't let the negativity get you down.

I don't really keep track of my DNF's but I don't rate those...but my lowest rated book I read this year was probably was The Pucking Coaches Daughter by S.Massery (gave 2 stars and I never give below a 3)...I know she has a popular dark hockey romance and Ive been wanting to read but this was my first and probably not the best place to start, it's why chose but the plot felt all over the place and there was a non-con scene that really turned me off to one of the MMC's

My least fav book of the year is one I don‘t think you have read and you really shouldn‘t - it‘s Worse Than Enemies by JL Beck. The heroine was nosy, stupid and naive. The hero was truly just an asshole. And the plot twist at the end was one I saw coming from a mile away and it was so insensitive and badly handled, in my opinion. Oof that felt good 😂

I didn’t like The Bonus by TL Swan either. It was a huge let down. As was Keep Me by Sara Cate. Both of those were my worst reads of 2024.
I DNF’d Nightwolf by Karina Halle because I wasn’t prepared for the grief in it. The writing was excellent, but the storyline wasn’t for me.

I’m a DNF’ing fool. I have absolutely no problem putting a book down if I’m not enjoying it. There are too many books that will be my new favorite to waste my time.
My worst book of the year was “Rain of Shadow and Endings.” This book was pitched to me as a romance. WRONG. People are reading this book and are obsessed with it. The hero was a piece of garbage. GARBAGE!!! Nothing that happens between the love interests is consensual. I hate read this book. Again, I’m a DNF Queen, and I read the whole thing because I wanted to see the “hero” die in some horrible, deserved way. The “hero” isn’t a character that just looks like a jerk on the outside because of reasons. Nope. You get his perspective too, and yep, garbage.
Oh and the Goodreads reviews are pretty incredible. The Heroine is a victim. Has had every choice taken from her, even her own reactions and feelings, and so many of the reviews blame her. HER! Crazy.

I am not that big of a fan of the Bully book. I read the original due diligence to a mix up, and I read that one that is from the guys perspective and it made the character worse than in the original. I know bully romance characters are mean okay but this guy literally was a straight up psycho and not in the good way in the way of this person is awful I don’t want this girl near him
