Dodgers fan here. I heard he was in the process of a perfect game in the 7th inning. I was watching my Dodger's game and I actually tuned in to watch the rest of this game as I would simultaneously go back and forth during commercials. But come on give credit where credit is due. It's not easy as for a Team to pitch No Hitters and have like 20 No Hitters all together as a Team. That's an accomplishment on its own and a incredible feat to have on record. The White Sox have a great number of great no hitters under their belt and they are second to the Dodgers.

It’s pretty common knowledge that when you’re on fire in a perfect game or no hitter and have been in the strike zone all game the ump is most likely gonna give the benefit of the doubt. Kerry Woods 20 strikeout game is the most clear example off of the top of my head.

I watched Philip Humber's perfecto live, and let me tell you it's something magical to watch. Especially when a non-star turns a career night into a perfect game.

You can't blame the hitter for that. A lefthander's slider down and in to a right handed hitter is very hard to read, that's why it's such a good strikeout pitch. The batters sees the pitch as being way closer to the plate than it ends up, and then the pitch keeps sliding towards the batter after it passes his eyeline. It's why you see instances of guys like Chris Sale getting batters to swing and miss on those types of sliders even when it hits the batter. To the batter, that pitch doesn't look like it's going to end up that far inside.

If more and more pitchers get closer to throwing no hitters, not only do no hitters become less rare, but you still have the issue of one sided games and lack of action. Think before you respond.
