I've riden the Yamaha xmax 300, Forza 350 and this one. Without hesitation i choose the Kymco Xciting. It has superior handling, power, stability,comfort and far more superior braking system and on par built quality. The only thing that Kymco has less is underseat storage. Having in mind that Kymco was cheaper then the Japanese i bought it without hesitation
You definitely need a top case for that scooter. The under seat storage space is so small for that size of scooter. Everything else is great.
A great review thanks. It looks like a really nice scooter. I'm looking to replace my Burgman AN400 and this might fit the bill. Although I think Kymco have missed a trick (and with the AK550) by making the underseat storage so small. Compare it with a Honda Forza 350 or Suzuki Burgman and you'll see what I mean. Other than that, it's an amazing scooter.

It's annoying that the 400 has a screen that is adjustable in 2 seconds, as opposed to 20 minutes on the 650. Why doesn't the AK screen adjust this simply?
Also, I miss having a key. The electronic keys are rubbish and have caused too many problems. The batteries only last 5 months and suddenly go dead with no warning, so if you don't have a spare battery when it dies, you better call rescue.

@@brandywell44 can you please tell me was there avg consumption in gauge cluster? Were you able to see that info like in a car L/km or km/L?
@@karlohorvat3364 My gauge cluster did not give fuel consumption, only a fuel gauge, but I did work it out for myself and in all my ownership I averaged 72.54 UK miles per UK gallon. I used only Shell V Power, as advized by my dealer, which has no ethanol in it. Over Winter I used a fuel stabilizer to preserve the fuel condition.

Am new to the scooter scene being a 650 biker. Looking for something that would take 2-up in comfort. How does the Xciting 400 fare? This is a great video, glad you mention the 550 in comparison which fir je us a step too luxurious! Thankyou
Great review. I’m thinking of the Xciting as my next bike. Overall I like it, but the storage is disappointing compared to my Downtown which is very ample. I also wish it had a footpad for a passenger (my Downtown has one) instead of foot pegs which feels like a step back. I really like what I’m seeing on the Noodle. Does the Xciting have hazard lights?

exhaust silencer still not improve...! heavy vibration can make the screw always loose and drop for daily highway traveler.. and very hard to get spare parts....

I don't really like 3 wheelers, but if I had to buy one,I would avoid a first generation 3 wheeler, I because they have very complicated systems and problems are to be expected for first years.

I'm going to find a dealer in the Philippines and buy this scooter because my Honda pcx is keyless and I forget to turn they key off and it runs my battery down 10 times already. I hit the keyless system

Καλημερα φιλε!! επειδη η τιμη του πιστευω ειναι η καλυτερη στην αγορα.... τι θα προτεινες για κατι ενδιαμεσο... δηλαδη καποια ταξιδια για μικρα χιλιομετρα 200 χλμ και 1-2 μεγαλα μεσα στον χρονο..... to xciting 400s στα 6... η το TL? ευχαριστω εκ των προτερων
differences with ak, how performance and road holding? I own an x-town 300, which is fine, but not performing well.

με ενα σετ ελαστικων pirelli/metzeler τ 400 στριβει κ φρεναρει πλ καλα γ τα κυβικα του.το πισω μερος κοπαναει αρκετα σε λακκουβες κ αναπηδησεις κ προφανως δεν συγκρινεται με τα δικυλινδρα mega scooters π εχουν 10-13000ε.

Συγκριτικά με αλλά σκούτερ η ανάρτηση του είναι σε υψηλό επίπεδο; Είμαι κάτοχος Beverly Piaggio 300 και η ανάρτηση είναι ένα φλέγον θέμα. Πιστεύεις ότι η ανάρτηση του σκούτερ που παρουσίασες είναι πολύ καλύτερη; Ή ποιο σκούτερ θα πρότεινες για καλή ανάρτηση; Ευχαριστώ πολύ, καλή συνέχεια!!!

Very nice review. Thanks very much. I've tested it as well and it really wasn't my favorite one. I'd prefer the Yamaha XMAX300. In fact nowadays I would probably prefer the Yamaha TriCity 300. Since I cannot test ride the TriCity 300 here in Spain (all sold out already) could you please make a review for us? Thanks. :)
What makes you prefer the xmax 300 over this?
I've riden the Yamaha xmax 300, Forza 350 and this one. Without hesitation i choose the Kymco Xciting. @@ronniesamson6931 This bike is really good.I push it a bit hard but I don't mind the consumption.I wanted a fast Scooter.If you want something full economical you should consider a smaller cc bike.

There's a lot more storage than it appears. The yamaha xmax has more storage but the seat sucks. This bike looks less bulky too.
