Is it the Euro 5 Xciting, or Euro 4? You'd have to look up long term owner reviews on the on the Xciting for well it'll last. I would say the Yamaha would probably retain the higher resale value, and likely easier to get parts.
How about the lighting at night? I drove Piaggio mp3 500 at night; its less good then the Xmax400 with new LED lighting; much better road visibility at night. And how about maintenance intervals? Thanks about the great videoreview.😆
I can't compare against other maxis directly at this stage but thought it was pretty decent to be fair rode it in the dark a few times and got on well. Great questions, though you'd have to ask Kymco for service interval details.
Im 5foot 4in height. A short person. Seriously considering in purchasing one. I wonder if my feet will reach the ground? Hopefully i won't tip over at a traffic light specially with the wife on the backseat.
Burgman has the bigger underseat storage and the better automatic, feels somewhat more sporty. Xciting 400i is more modern looking, has the far superior brakes, and oozes even better build quality, feels somewhat more touring. Note: Not that there is anything wrong with the build quality of the Burgy 400, or the automatic of the Kymco. He's right, hard to decide since they are both of highest standards.
Goodluck getting parts when you need them for this bike. Several weeks waiting time is common for spare parts to be shipped from Taiwan is common for Kymco and Sym bikes
@@BikeMatters I had the same issue with a nearby dealer, I've emailed kymco twice with no response, and I'll be honest it's seriously knocked my faith in them, if a manufacturer can't be bothered to reply to a potential customer it's a bad sign!

I rented a Honda Forza in Portugal fro two weeks. The mirrors were less than useless, as they were mounted far forward (styling reasons I suspect) and I couldn’t see anything behind me unless I was on a curve.
I just got mine yesterday, not sad nor am I happy. serious vibration when accelerating, there are two glove boxes that fully lock then steering lock is applied, left glove box has a usb charging point with waterproof rubber cover. every review I've come across is not of an owner, here in Italy you can find them used with less than 1500km, as quick as they are bought the owners want to sell them. would I ever buy another Kymco ? probably not, good looking bike as for noodoe it's a load of sh*t, you'll just keep using whats on the scooter as standard, the App is restricted. oh and it's top heavy you can feel how heavy the scooter is.
This or Burgman 400?
Both are great, if you are able to check them out in person and have a sit or test ride on them, I'm sure one will stand out more for you.
Hmm dude flipping lanyards! Sounds like CAT from Red Dwarf lol. Thanks just bought a 2020!
Love the look.. But only two Negatives only fit 1 helm en no keyless, I think I'm gonna buy the Honda forza 300
And what's so good about keyless ignition!
Harder to lose the key 🤷🏻♂️
@@kevindarkstar Cheaper to get a new key than a dongle
I wonder how accurate the speedometer is
Gps is a better suit my maxi scooter ie:Honda is out by 10 maybe 12 mph at top end 90mph pushing it
USA????
Goodluck getting parts when you need them for this bike. Several weeks waiting time is common for spare parts to be shipped from Taiwan is common for Kymco and Sym bikes
took Honda 3 months to get me a water pump for my cb400
Wow very nice bike ser my Dreme bike
Perfetkt
This or the Forza 350?
Smart but yet again no dealers up here let alone a demo bike.
That's a shame to hear as Kymco really make cracking maxi-scooters, have you emailed them to find out where your closest dealership is?
@@BikeMatters I had the same issue with a nearby dealer, I've emailed kymco twice with no response, and I'll be honest it's seriously knocked my faith in them, if a manufacturer can't be bothered to reply to a potential customer it's a bad sign!
Nice scooter. In the usa we get a xcity300. Horrible .I want a euromaxi.
of course we won't see it in the States if its not a Harley Davidson truck or SUV we don't want it
No keyless option? That is a dealbreaker compared to all competitiors ...
Not currently, wouldn't be surprised to see this added in the future.
Personally not a deal-breaker for me but understand if that is a preference for someone else.
Really - deal breaker if you have to use a key. Okay.
For me having a key is a deal maker. Cannot see the purpose of keyless ignition on a bike. Also like the manual adjust of the screen, not shown in this video. Have added the 400i to my list of bikes I,m looking at for next year
@@guysmith3146 Glad to hear you are considering the Xciting - it really did impress me to be honest. I did fail to mention the screen was manually adjustable and not electronic.
flarecz, if that would stop you from a purchasing anything this good that is just your loss. What would happen when you lose your little button thingy ????
I love your reviews, but here’s another scooter I can’t buy in the States.
Thanks for your kind words Kenneth! We obviously aim at scooters and motorcycles available in the UK, hopefully some of our future content might be more suitable for you!

Or, perhaps manufacturers will send us the good stuff one day. If they ever do, I’ll likely be too old to ride.
On an unrelated note, I love that Kymco put the mirrors in the right place.
I like it because it's 400cc Yamaha Tmax is for idiots with no brains and money to burn, 12k, you'd be far better with a motorcycle when spending that much
@@gaiafaenza8207 I wish I had to read your coment 2 days ago. After some negotiations I payed whole amount today and will get it in a couple of days. So do you still own that Kymco? How is your feeling now after one year of ownership? Happy new year to you!
@@luka1251 Did you get you Xciting 400? Do you like it?
No place for phone holder
shorter than 5.6? yeah right, this is a bike for adults, next to you iz looks like honda cruiser
I wanted to hear what you had to say NOT be forced to listen to music. went elsewhere.
Thanks for the feedback!
2 BMW Fans wich think this is a bad quality Chinese Scooterbrand klicked dislike
kymco makes scoots for bmw
Food for Thought: Did you know BMW Contracted Kymco to Make Engines for its BMW G450X Enduro Bike Back in 2008. Current Make Engines For BMW still not sure what model . Most if not all their Bikes carry a 2yr Warranty .
I MySelf Own a 2016 Kymco People GTi 300 Great Scooter By the way.
Kymco is Taiwan made not china
@@lb150t they provide the engine for the BMW C series.
Lol really should have done your research before making that comment. BMW use kymco engines, they designed and engined the Kawasaki j125/300 scooters and kymco used to work for Honda back in the day before they went under their own brand
