12:18 That's the alphabet of the Amazigh language. The indigenous people of North Africa (From the Atlantic to the borders of Ancient Egypt) called themselves Amazigh (The free people), while greeks and Romans called them Libyans or Berbers (From barbarians ). The Amazigh people spoke many languages and sustained an oral tradition. Oral cultures always have a harder time surviving compared to written ones. Amazigh languages made it thanks to the nomad tribes of the desert (such as the Touareg) who kept their tradition despite the Mediterranean influence and the various occupations. In Morocco, Tamazight is now recognized as an official language, and that alphabet is what has been recognized (from old ruins) and agreed upon to be the official way of writing. It's nice to see you guys having fun !
Thank you for your visit to My Country. Just an information: these houses are built more than thousands years ago not 700 years. The Barberian (Amazigh) are our ancestors and they are the original owner of the land. They were there before 2000 years before the coming of the phenicians and the other cultures over the years. Thank you so much it was a very nice trip in the deep south of Tunisia.
Hello! Thank you very much for the explanations. Just to add few things. • The Amazigh who had lots of names through out their life times ( The Berbers, The Lybo, The Moors, or Morrish ….) Lived in North Africa for thousands of years. There are a water temple in Guettar near Snad SW Gafsa Worshiped by our ancestors the Amazigh over 40 thousands years old. The Capsian culture modern day Gafsa who were Amazigh is over 12 thousands years old. ❤️🇹🇳🇮🇹❤️
