Bitter Moon - Rent (Pet Shop Boys)

New video for PSB's 1987 single using the obsessive relationship of Oscar & Mimi in Roman Polanski's underrated 1992 drama. Its non linear narrative shows the couple's role-reversal dependency on each other in Oscar's Paris apartment, which echoes well Neil Tennant's lyrics about being a kept man or woman I thought.
Stars Peter Coyote & Emmanuelle Seigner, alongside Hugh Grant & Kristin Scott Thomas. Original film scored by Vangelis and called 'Lunes De Fiel' in France

@@KrisGriffiths I can grasp the basics from the mood and ambience of this clip, which I hope is down to your efforts and skill dear boy, also knowing what I know about Polanski, I'm assuming on this basis. I see a relationship of a replacement father figure by the female, and a (healthy) man's instinct to want to protect vulnerability, yet also this subverts to a destructive dynamic when the differences of both gender and age conflict, ultimately a love story of the strange beauty we find as we try and resolve this vacuum, with the transcendental nature of love.
