I think it's to combat the claims that they aren't being realistic. The reason fashion dolls traditionally have longer necks is to stack jewelry, or so they can wear higher necklines and such.
The original Frankie was like the epitome of MH. This just looks like Frankie’s little sister or something. I understand there not targeting towards older og collectors but come on, we are their main demographic at this point 🤦♀️
I don't think we are the main demographic, collectors, especially adult collectors are a small portion, the vocal minority if you will
Like for real, children these days are all interested in technology and not toys anymore
They should bring back CA Cupid in Nickelodeon monster high series

I like the design but I wonder if they will come out with the ones we saw in the leaks the prototype ones. I feel like that one looks more in line with the live action version and I like her side cut they gave her in that one
I LOVE the side cut! All the other dolls have boring hair. Like clawdeens topknot, seen it. Newgoonas (new + lagoona) ponytail, yawn. The half shaved look would have slayed!

They are so cute and After seeing Frankie cleo clawdeen and Draculaura so many time I really like Frankie they are honestly my favorite even tho cleo would have been my favorite but shes looks too bugged eyed and frankies eyes are just perfect I need them and I wanna see lagoona already! I love your review and I am so excited for these new Ghouls! yes they are different and I will always love the OGs but I like the direction they took the new ones! Very cute! Also the pets remind me so much of the Cave Club pets. They look very similar. Which makes sense because Rebecca worked on both lines. Can't wait to get these!
In my own opinion I'm just not impressed with the reboot. In all honesty they look more G2 then G1 instead a mixture of both. Plus they look like they are Barbie Extras but monsters. I don't know im just gonna stick to the creeproductions

That’s what I’m saying, the designs are uncreative imo, giving Frankie tons of electric colors and lightning bolt designs is just really cliché. Its really sad too because even tho we haven’t seen much dolls we have seen these ones and the new creep over dolls, and their fashion is just so basic, it wont be able to compete against rainbow high or lol dolls and G3 monster high dolls will probably only last 2 or 3 years before they shelf mh again.

They look softer, like the G2 reboot-- very toned down.
Sneakers are cute, skirt is cute, LOVE the prosthetic leg--
And I get it, lightning bolts are their signature "thing" but meh.
The technicolor everything isn't doing it for me.
I kinda hope G3 dolls can wear G1 clothes bc I have hand me downs to give to my neices if they end up loving these dolls

I like the variety in body types, the prosthetic leg is great representation. I want draculaura, my thick vampire girl, i will definitely give her pig tails and curls, i will wet her hair and freeze them so i don't destroy them. I don't like lagoona, they went with a stereotypical pink mermaid theme and people say they change he because she didn't sale well, i guess girls can't like blue according to salamen. I don't know about Clawdeen, i like the fur but Clawdeen had an edge on her, now she us to cute and nerdy, which isn't bad but she isn't Clawdeen. Also if they don't make her a lesbian i will get very mad. Also i hate her hair, i saw a RUclipsr that braid them and they where great.
It's not that girls can't like blue it's that she litterally sold the least amount out of all of them

How do the new shoes fit on the older bodies?
Certain characters are able to wear their older shoes, it just depends on the fit of them. Cleo is able to wear Nefera's shoes now, since her feet and legs are thicker.
(Reposting my opinion) It's not a bad doll but it's definitely different. No stand is always a negative. Having a doll posed and holding all of her accessories gives it personality. Their look is a little boring honestly. The top is amazing though! Hoping for more spooky takes and lines for G3's future. Colors are nice and bright , Leg is awesome and it's definitely more inclusive to consider her as they/them! P.s I think the plain shoes are here to stay, I'll definitely miss how detained monster high shoes used to be. P.ss The style reminds me of Fail Fix/Cave club/Wild Hearts Crew

Never will these dolls out do MH 2010 - 2015, They look like the fake MH. They are not unique like the original MH dolls. It's more adults who collect toys instead of kids because kids are not into toys anymore. Mattel need to come with something different and new for MH different characters and stop messing up the originals ones. They went from awesome to worse from unique teens to first graders whatever. They are a flop.

@@georgiaalford9714 i'mma be honest, if they wanted to do pronouns they should've left she/her as okay with frankie since it'd be easy for old fans and character can still keep the they/them cuz it does make sense cuz she's an amalgamation of multiple females.
