Waterproof and Wellies Project Launch | The Outdoor Guide Foundation

On the 30th of March 2021, the Waterproof and Wellies project officially launched. It is the flagship initiative undertaken by The Outdoor Guide Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to making the outdoors more inclusive.
The Waterproof and Wellies project's aim is simple; to donate 10 sets of waterproof trousers and jackets and pairs of wellies to every state primary school in the UK.
It is all well and good expounding the benefits of the outdoors for mental health and wellbeing, but we have found that many kids cannot access them because they lack the correct outerwear.
Despite being able to provide all the kits at cost price, the project does not come cheap. We are aiming to raise £5m, through a mixture of fundraising and corporate sponsorship, to realise our aims.
