Just to let you know, the DC05 was Dyson's second 'cylinder' style machine. The first Dyson cylinder was the DC02 which was designed and built around 1995/1996. The DC05 was simply just an improvement over the DC02. This is a similiar story with the upright DC04 model in 1998/1999. Once again, the 04 was an improvement over the earlier DC01. Hope this information helps in regards to early Dyson machines :)
leokimvideo The think I was going to point out was exactly what you Said at the end.. That "Lumina" Dyson faker is brand new, Just out of the box. Compared to your 2 year old Dyson or even that 12-15 year old Dyson it still fails.. And as you can see, As soon as even a speck of filth gets into the filters the power drops from mediocre to nothing instantly.. My Father owns a Dyson very much like that old DC05 (It's a DC11) and he's had it since almost new.. He is a home repair contractor and every day of it's life it has cleaned up plaster, Rubble, Sawdust etc.. And it still works great.. and in all honestly.. It's never lost suction.
I have a DC50 allergy and love it! I've owned it for two months now and came away very impressed. I always love the Dyson company because of the technology and care they invest to make our everyday lives better. It's amazing how much engineering and R&D they put into there products. Whilst others think its excessive and unnecessary, for Dyson users like you and me, it is highly appreciated. I've just used a Eureka canister and was shocked at how much dust and hair got past the measly 8 cyclones. Bare in mind, the users of this vacuum do go past the full line and larg debris enters the cyclones, but the reason why Eureka's cyclone cant perform like Dyson's root cyclones is because James Dyson know something called patients.
Tayyab Parwaz Again thanks, I know the Dyson enthusiasts and collectors will know the Dyson info better than the masses of spam webpages pages on the subject.
leokimvideo i think they are both fake. the stripe on the far right of the left spongebobs shirt is not in place, and the right spongebobs face looks like its face is a sticker.
My mother had that exact DC39 Dyson, she paid quite a sum of money for it and it has probably been one of the best Hoovers (or Vaccum Cleaners) that we've ever had, Has now been replaced by one of those much more expensive cordless ones that you just place on a plinth and the charging cable sits underneath. My dad now has the older Dyson. The only real issue with this particular one is that the curved feed pipe that goes to the filters etc is quite narrow and we've had numerous occasions where larger bits of debris gets caught up and blocks it up.
The Low/high power adjustment controls the motor speed by adjusting electrical resistance, or ohms. You would turn the power down for drapes or little bathroom rugs, and crank it up to max for regular cleaning.
Haha "The Suck Off Of The Century!" Me and my wife actually purchased a Dyson 10 years ago to this month… And… It still Sucks! No Pun Intended! Can't wait to see the follow up video on this once you get to use them hands-on. Dyson is a great product that I feel a lot of people overlook because of the Price point. To be honest, a vacuum should be a big investment as it's something you are going to use on a daily basis. BTW, that disney planes knock off was so good that I couldn't even see the true knock offer version. Much better than the my little phonies.
jlouvier I feel the number one reason why people do not buy Dyson is the price. It was for me until curiosity had me make a few purchases. If you let a non Dyson owner use a Dyson to do some home cleaning they start to appreciate the Dyson ideals of controlling the very fine nasty dust that other machines leave behind. When you see massive price differences with very similar looking machines it really makes you think whats going on. My guess is that little clone Dyson was a one off. It never re-appeared and it was purchased some time ago.
The Optimus with the fake packaging looks like a legitimate international product at first glance, however studying the box more closely reveals the dark side. The Optimus featured on the side of the box is from the Transformers Prime series, however the toy appears to feature one of the many movie style Optimus Primes.
***** From my simple reading on the subject (remembering I am not a Transformers expert in any way) there are whats classed as high quality knock offs, now the way I see them are these toys are the ones which leaked out the back of the real toy factory. The sick aspect is that Optimus Prime was sold to me as a REAL toy for a small price. We all know Transformers toys tend to be a little expensive due to their elaborate designs. But one wonders exactly whats going on when one is $15 while the other is one dollar off $50.
Great to see you back! We often shop at aldi, I am a convert to their hand tools that they regularly sell. A good example is the large workzone socket set I got there about 2 years ago and we thrash that by working on 2 cars regularly and they are still going strong, other small tools that are cheap from there we often grab like screwdriver sets etc but we don't like their larger power tools as the electronics are usually shocking.
Ucwepn OMG, I just looked over your videos of the FAIL new Trackmaster system. Seems Mattel need to sell a whole new system to a new generation of Thomas fans. But all I see going on points to making the toy as cheap as possible. I would even now say some of the TOMY knock offs are a better deal Vs whats on offer from Mattel with the new style Trackmaster.
leokimvideo I have heard the new Trackmaster 2.0 sets and trains are slightly cheaper than the originals (at least in the USA) but I think we will get slogged the same old price when they finally appear here.
Right, on the date, Dyson moved production to Malaysia in late 2002 so it would be thereabouts after 2002 - 2005, so yeah, around 13-10 years old. I have a great DC05 that I obtained fully working on eBay for around £15 (around $29 Australian dollars), and my uncle has had one for around 14 years problem free.
WoodenBoy BearLover It seems Dyson are about to release a robot vacuum cleaner, or maybe it's April 1st joke...I'm yet to fully understand because James Dyson said he would not do a robot vacuum cleaner until he had one which really worked. Hmmm it's not April 1 so hey maybe it's true
You really do get what you pay for Dyson years of constant development to produce the best machine possible and patents protecting the work. And Aldi with something designed to last the guarantee period and not a day later.
ejcmoorhouse Dyson are about to do a robot, one wonders if they get it right. I know the ones on the market at the moment are expensive fluff removers and do no real cleaning
Hay Leo both Optimus Prime's you have are real but the one that's in the robots in disguise box is from the last movie and the box is from Transformers Prime and keep making good Thomas videos
Like a lot your review was very original.. ..Dyson is expensive but is powerful and very nice designed i wish that dyson will put to wired vacuums speed settings cuz is not necessary to get such powerful suction every time yo dust so you will get energy saving.
Why doesn't Dyson offer a POWERED carpet cleaner head like many other makes? Instead, the rotating carpet tool works PASSIVELY off the suction, using some of that energy to turn the brush.
Leo, Just curious if you have seen the new Robot Vacuum by Dyson??. Apparently the vacuum has an eye and can see! I'd love to see that thing roaming around your house eating spiders!
jlouvier yes, everyone is talking about that new dyson robot, I feel a very expensive review coming on as curiosity is going to have me go out and buy one. I'm not sure how it will tackle a home with a strange floor layout. I'm guessing here in Oz it will be a $2000 unit, but I may be wrong. The top dollar machines here sell for around $1000, but most are $300 to $500, and whats curious is how they are all clone in design, Dyson has some very different ideas going on. The Dyson fan boys will buy one just for the hell of it. It makes for an amazing looking door stop if it's a bomb.
I have a Dyson DC07 that was bought in 2003 so 2001/2 sounds about right for the DC05, and yes mine does still work but its on its second motor and quite a few bits have been replaced over the years, my main problem is that my hair clogs up the brushes
That's the plan of the dark side, when it all comes down to it. They know their products will fail, so you buy another one and end up spending more on replacements than for pennies or dollars more a genuine product that'll last you for years to come. Take iPods for instance. They have in New York several knock off Apple products, including a U2 iPod which came preloaded with U2's entire discography and for some reason Monster's Inc. Sounds good, until you realize the battery is complete crap, as a friend of mine's battery exploded and rendered his dark side U2 iPod useless. But you're right, some are on par with the genuine article, like Lego. Companies like Sheng Yuan and Decool do figures that Lego has yet to make, as well as Comic Con exclusives which cost hundreds of dollars, which begs the question: Would you rather spend maybe $10 for a knock-off Phoenix or Spider-Woman or pay $200-300 for the actual figure?
DumDumShow From what I read the other vacuum companies are trying to make a Dyson killer that sells for under $100. I have a feeling thats never going to happen.
That faker TF figure (the one without the movie packaging) was from the 3rd Movie, and they've copied it and whacked it in a box from a newer TV series (though I'm not sure which). However, I'd love to know it's quality compared to an original... the world of Transforms is one of very, very good fakes. No surprises about this vacuum battle. I'm yet to find a good electronic at Aldi (bar the smoke machine haha), and I know all the phones/tablets they sell are seriously junk. This video further confirms I will have to get one of these Dysons for Mum, as our old bag vacuum is certainly aging!!
DYSONS are the best vacuums ever, we got one (a DC40) for free with a special agreement with Dyson, its the best vacuum ever. Any knockoff version of Dysons are shit. Never mess with DYSON!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Optimus Prime you showed at the beginning was a knockoff. On the side of the box, it had spelling errors and weird reads, and the logo on the bottom was a knockoff of the Hasbro logo.
Tayyab Parwaz Thanks, I did not know the relationship between these early Dyson models. I have a DC01 and it was a find on the side of the road and yep it still fully works. But hell it's heavy ;)
Leo what really made me horrified was when i was on holiday i saw 'Preety Frozen' and a little girl about 5yrs old saw it and started crying over it, and the next day they brought the toy back and the toys inside were broken and cracked. It really makes me upset when i see this happening.
We just purchased a Dyson DC54 with the new Cinetic moving cyclone nozzles, and i can honestly say i was influenced by your video that shows you bashing toys with your Dyson
m3sca1 Lets hope Mr Dyson sees your comment. They are expensive machines to purchase but do the best find dust management of any vacuum cleaner on the market.
I have a dc08 which my mum bought when I was born back in 04 and it’s still going today and it gets use every week sure we have had replace the motor and the turbine head but it still works perfectly
The $15 Optimus prime near the start if the video could be real it's a couple of years old now but I have an Optimus that looks exactly the same as it , even down to the vehicle transformation shown on the back of the box , the Chinese factory for hasbro may just be selling off left over stock or a company may have purchased the leftovers to sell themselves . Leo I love your videos they have been an eye opener on just how bad the situation with knockoffs has become especially here in Ireland thank you for doing what you do as it is valuable knowledge for me to have at only 14 and a great source of entertainment .I see how dangerous knockoffs are now especially for children so anyone who thinks you promote such rubbish is blind as it is clear from the start to finish of your videos that you are doing no more than trying to help consumers parents and those people who believe such things once again thank you for being such a great youtuber and person
It's obviously a fake because the box art on the side is from Transformers Prime, and the toy is from the CGI movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon(and the 'Hasbro' logo doesn't say 'Hasbro')
***** Be VERY careful in thinking things are real, this is the classic trap of the dark side knock off toys. They go out of their way to fool both children and parents and it's a very sinister game going on the more I study it.
the optimus prime knock off uses a psudo decepticon logo that is used by a bunch of transformers knock off, also the box is all wrong hasbro has gone to a more traditional box compared to the massive angular ones
lpslover900 I have had quite a few people tell me about the LPS clone toys and that some are very clever rip-offs. Anyway it's a sure sign that LPS is a massive and popular toy franchise
Dear leo well come back to RUclips I'm one of your biggest fan ever I wach your videos every day and night in England your grait. Can you show in one of your video all of your stuff on the shelf Your sentsealy j.barber :-D;-):-)
Tammy Hancox Considering your from England, how do you see Dyson pricing Vs what I am exposed to. I have heard Dyson's are cheap in the UK. I have some close work friends who now live in England and they said owning a Dyson was almost a birth right, in fact you don't ever consider buying anything else. Is that true ?
Just to let you know, the DC05 was Dyson's second 'cylinder' style machine. The first Dyson cylinder was the DC02 which was designed and built around 1995/1996. There's so many lines here that can be taken out of context.
One day I will have a mature enough sense of humor to not laugh at this.

4:48 look at the bottom-left corner on the left box - that one has a Mattel logo on it while the other one does not.
Wow Leo, I'm definitely going for the Dyson!
BTW, The SpongeBob on the left is real

Why doesn't Dyson offer a POWERED carpet cleaner head like many other makes? Instead, the rotating carpet tool works PASSIVELY off the suction, using some of that energy to turn the brush.
Jakob W coz dyson has plenty of power to run the turbine head as well and sucking power why complain
Jakob W besides motorheads has shown to many times of burning out. .. air driven is more reliable
YEAH LEOKIM IS BACK!
BaconStar101 in the end everything is awesome, after a battle with partner support to understand the huge problems I was having
Thats very true
I picked up another dyson for 5 bucks, a DC 16 which needed a new battery, works great even completely full
You can tell the closed mouth SpongeBob is fake because the belt on the bottom right is misaligned

leo have you ever gone to the spirit halloween store?
I know I sound like a broken record but are you going to have another contest, after all, your channel is working again

Ps the DC05 was a barrel version of the Dc04, and the DC02 is a barrel version of the DC01 :)
Tayyab Parwaz Thanks, I did not know the relationship between these early Dyson models. I have a DC01 and it was a find on the side of the road and yep it still fully works. But hell it's heavy ;)
leokimvideo I think you said My lLittle Frony Leo. LOL!
Leo what really made me horrified was when i was on holiday i saw 'Preety Frozen' and a little girl about 5yrs old saw it and started crying over it, and the next day they brought the toy back and the toys inside were broken and cracked. It really makes me upset when i see this happening.

the reason the $49 has such bad suction is because they put that speed selection knob on it that cuts the power to the little motor in half.
Alpha, is that you?
Did you rewire the blue lumina vacuum
I have a dc08 which my mum bought when I was born back in 04 and it’s still going today and it gets use every week sure we have had replace the motor and the turbine head but it still works perfectly
The $15 Optimus is 100% fake ! Just letting you know they ripped off a toy and a packaging
The MLP set was called Fun Lovely Pony
And there is also Sunset Shimmer on the box, but she has her evil look from the first Equestria Girls film.
I think they put the Minecraft clock on the wrong box. It's the shape of Minnie Mouse's head, is pink, and stuffs.
Aldi is the dark side supermarket
Off brand everything
Well this is funny.
About the years
Can you try a Henry one I have one pls
do you still have the aldi vacuums
Wow u were right leo that was a weird darkside vid
super glad to see you back. were watching for some videos. we subscribed. please reveiw on action shiters cars 2 items please.
the dc05 vacuum cleaner is dual cyclone 1 cone in the middle and 1 out side but now those cones are smaller and are called root cylones
The spongebob on the right has faded printing, when the one on the left has crisp printing. The opened mouth spongebob(right side) is the fake.
do another Thomas dark side
Don't by a shark hand held won't suck up a small slider
The Dusty on the left is real because it has the Mattel logo
The people who make knockoffs need to improve their grammar. "Peppa & Family" is fine but "Many color a lot" makes no sense.
It's maybe because lots of knockoffs are made in foreign countries and the grammar and sense is lost in translation because they directly translate it
@@TacoTurtleTen10they probably used Google translate, which can be very inaccurate
A Miele And A Bissel
Happy Fish also used Finding Nemo pictures without permission
Those both sponge bobs are real as I have them both and I got them
at a target
the toy of optimus prime is real but the pakeging is from RID not from DOTM
Keep your hands calm and put it back together it will probably help
Wow, go Dyson! I think the open mouth SpongeBob is fake!
oodsigma curious, it has many people very confused indeed ;o
Grate video Leo
review samsung motion sync it has 14 little clone cone cyclones!
So one vacuum is the real McCoy dyson and the other dyson is a knockoff.
Aldi knock of food packages in Ireland :S
The sponge bob on the left is real
I would rather have both vacuums as the Aldi own brand would be good for dirty jobs and dyson my main machine
No offence but the best vacuum is either SEBO or Rainbow.
You can find the Dyson ball can be found in 2 common stores Bing lee and good guys
Mahrin Khan cggkkkjhhhgggffcg
I did see one your RUclips shorts and I didn’t see the black Fina I will need for our with the word I need
I got a shark dual cyclone a dyson v7 trigger and a single cyclone hoover
That Optimus prime transformers on the left is real because it is packaging from japan
Dyson has too much *S U C C* Power.
I think i saw an aldi store in my city
Yes leo try a new tipe of vacuum if you have it in ostailior. :-);-):-D
I found this place which sells dark side littlest pet shops it's so insane that people are copying lps now its so crazy 😱
lpslover900 I have had quite a few people tell me about the LPS clone toys and that some are very clever rip-offs. Anyway it's a sure sign that LPS is a massive and popular toy franchise
leokimvideo It's getting up there. Not quite brony levels but it has a small but dedicated fandom, which will explain the increase in dark side toys.
