- Many people ask for a rear lounge motorhome and this Pilote P696 motorhome has a rear lounge. The rear lounge here is quite enormous, particularly given the size of the vehicle in the seven metre class. The bed will drop down over the rear lounge whereas the driving compartment is isolated from the rest of the van via a door.
I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.

I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

Pretty smart solutions IF you dont need a garage.. But the wood! Looks like something from back in the 70s in my grandparents basement!
This knotty wood finish is quite popular in US RV's... I hope this bad taste will remain only with Pilote and won't spread into other euro manufacturers...

That seat by the door is to sit down to take off shoes when you come in from outdoors or put on shoes before going out, which can keep it quite clean -- another great idea except for the dodgy looking decor. As you aptly put it.

Very interesting layout but if you have a bike rack installed you cannot open the rear window.
Great layout and design, though I would shrink the lounge and expand the kitchen space. The decor with that ultra cheap, outdated vinyl wood look just sank it. How stupid of the manufacturer to skimp on better materials for flooring, cabinets, and counters. Love the bath and bedroom separate area.

What is key is the weight that the bed can carry . It it's a weak bed then is bad news but otherwise it is a camper optimised for day use which makes sense. I like it. It would be great if it was 4x4.

I think it was around EUR65k. As I recall there are no seat belts in the lounge.
I like the interior use of space it has a huge lounge, what's wrong with three gas burners on the hob? I don't understand why manufacturers use white / cream leather or faux leather on the upholstery, it must be the most impractical choice of colour? Other than that it's a very nice motorhome. Thank Alan.
The three gas burners is my joke about manufacturers putting in only two for the 2022 season!

Enjoying your videos but it's not necessary to repeat and keep showing what has already been shown or belabor it, like in another video how you went on about the bathroom mirror..which could be moved. It's nice just seeing the overall layout of the vans...as many as you can film. Minute detail isn't important.
The problem is that different people want different things. In the comments on the same video I can get people complaining that I don't show the fridge and another will ask why I show the fridge every time!

Perfect for entertaining a group at a camp site. Might be more reliable on a Ford Transit.
