I think it's interesting how a lot of people unconsciously pick their "best" colors just by wearing a lot of what they think looks good anyway! But other people are somehow drawn to what are technically their "worst" colors! I wonder why that is... Maybe I'll finally do one the next time I'm in Korea, because I really wanna see how well they'll do with brown skin!
the bunny keychain turned out perfect omg

I think it's probably just like with any other sense, some are better at using their senses. Like people who are tone deaf, but not being able to see what colours work is kind of the same except it's visual instead of auditory. Also of course there are people who do know, but just don't care.

Some people don't wanna look conventionally pretty. Some prefer edge. And edge isn't created by harmony - which is what color analysis is about. It's not always about mis-alignment with what acutally suits someone, it's often times about having a very personal beauty standard that's not aligned with any standards (alternative style). That's not a bad thing but rarely looks presentable without being all dolled up. And that's what many people don't understand. If you choose a fashion look, you have to put heaps of effort in in order to look decent. Or you might look like a clown, a frumpy person or a mismatch. That can happen. But if you're into that, that's alright as well. You do you. It's your personal choice.
Aside from that: some people do honestly believe they are ugly anyways, so they will not give a damn about what would look best on them.
While others actually don't see it.
It is very individual. And not everyone that's not matching within a specific standard chooses that themselves - while others do rebel against these beauty standards. Or simply just have their own.
E.g. I do have my own favorite aesthetics for myself and they are also not very standard. That doesn't mean I don't get what my colors are or what looks best on me. It means I prefer to look a certain way. And that's also alright.
I do believe as soon as you make a choice conciously, it's perfectly amazing and should be respected by others. But I never get angry, annoyed or feel insecure if anyone tells me I'd look better in xyz. It's THEIR perception and THEIR opinion. That's valid, but might not be aligned with what I want.
I choose my looks and I also choose what I like. And everyone should have that freedom. Hope that helps answering your question. I by no means wanna bash anyone here. I would never want that. I do believe anyone is allowed to wear what they want. Coz hey, if someone wears an outfit I don't like, they don't harm me with that, right? So let them wear what they want. I for sure wear what I want as well.
(A co-worker of mine once called me weird. My answer was: "I allow anyone to be their version of weird, so I also allow myself to be MY version of weird.", from that moment on, this person started to open up to me, be way more friendly to me and appreciated each day we were working together. Just let people be their version of weird.)

the thing is, color theory is real, it's a fact... but what is worse or better is EXTREMELY subjective. What effect you want on your face is personal.. some like more bright on their face, some like more gray or pale on their face, some like more red...and so on... so we are ALL aware of color theory, it's just that we pick what we like

    • @KooblyK
      @KooblyK Месяц назад +4

Some people, like others said, aren't as sensitive to colors and shades and don't see harmony or lack thereof. But others are drawn to DIS-harmony, and actively make it work for them. I've heard of goths going to get these specifically so they can choose all their worst colors and look as dead and washed out as possible. It's not about being given a ruleset, after all, it's just about understanding our own coloring and learning how colors are going to interact with us. And THEN you can make yourself look however you want with conscious choice. Whether that's choosing easy harmony, or compensating for your coloring with color corrector or extra makeup so that you can still look good no matter what palette you choose

The key is finding shades/tones of those colors you love that also compliment your skin tone and make your skin tone pop. For example, in baby pink I look totally washed out and sickly. In a rich, warm magenta, I look like I'm glowing and absolutely striking

    • @Molly-gx6jf
      @Molly-gx6jf Месяц назад +23

@@SleipnirseightYeah but magenta pink and baby pink aren’t the same at all. Even in vibe. It’s really a would you rather wear a color you love even if it doesn’t look the best on you or would you rather wear a color that looks best on you regardless if you like it or not? Op prefers personal choice over societal judgements of colors that objectively looks the best on a person . You’re right though you can do both if ya want, but if ya don’t want then they should wear what they like and like what they wear!

You can also have colors you like in accessories and notebooks and bedding and other things in your environment that make you happy; if they aren’t flattering on you, you can either choose to continue wearing them or not, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the color. I look at my purse a lot more than I look at my reflection so I’d personally prefer it that way anyways.

Hi! I have tetrachromacy and I can DEFINETILY say that YELLOW does suit you since your skin looks more warm than cold but it depends of the yellow, yellow makes your pink warm natural undertone peachy and it actually looks good on you. Roes gold is (for me) too close to your natural skintone so I think silver and a cooler bronze but more desaturated suits you best because it contrast with your undertone and pops your rosey color

I'm thinking you're honestly just lucky that your favorite color happens to match your skin tone. I went to the Milk clothing shop in Japan and they recommended a lot of olive green to me at first, probably because I have "olive" (tan) skin. Unfortunately while I don't think olive green is a bad color, and I certainly agree it does look good with olive skin (reds too), I don't like it very much for me. I prefer pastels and blacks, with purple being my favorite color. But who knows, maybe some of those would actually match me as well if I went and saw an expert too.

Keep in mind that color analysis is vastly different depending on the beauty standard of the culture you get typed within. So an analysis in a western country might give you a totally different result. Your natural features are medium-deep, medium contrast and most likely neutral cool. So you'd be either some of the darker summer types or a softer winter type. There also are different systems out there with vastly different variations of sub-seasons. You are beautiful either way though and whatever you like creates whatever impact and image you wanna create. Which is the most important thing: Choose what creates the image and impact you wanna create, no matter what that is, no matter if it is within traditional beauty standards. It's on you, what you actually and truly love. And it's alright to stick to that, even if it isn't within your color palette.
Where I do struggle... I can't see dominant brightness in you. So I would add grey to your personal colors. But not too much. The level of grey is IMPORTANT. VERY important. Thing is: People with dominant brightness barely ever look actually bad in black. Even if it isn't their color. They also don't REALLY look bad in white ever. Even if it isn't their color. Because the feature both of these colors have is brightness, absolution if you will. They are not muted or dulled or soft. They are incredibly powerful and people with truly bright natural coloring have the same power, even if their hue isn't matching. They CAN carry the power of black and white, they will just not look perfectly flattered by them, if it's not their level of depth and their correct hue.
I am a way lighter (and warmer) color type than you are and I can carry black and white quite easily. My natural hair color is a level 7 to 6 and slightly golden. My eyes are that in between light blue and light green with that super dark rim around the iris. My skin is yellow-golden and light (in foundation it's mostly light, sometimes light-medium, but never fair). I am considered low-medium contrast, bright value and neutral-warm hue. I got typed as a Light Spring in the UK (I am from Germany though). And I think due to getting a virtual analysis the results are flawed, because the Bright Spring palette suits me way better, even without make up. (Both types usually look great in very light hair, but Light Spring should not wear dark hair colors, while Bright Spring can get away with it rather easily most of the times and I can wear darker hair colors very well and then can look like a Winter easily.) The images I did submit to the consultant were also flawed. Now that I know this, I can't blame the consultant, they did their best job possible. I wish I had used better images for that consultation. But I learned heaps. I knew I was closer to warm than cool. I knew I was not muted, but the rest? Wasn't too sure. So knowing I sit within the Spring home season is more than I could've hoped for.
I still wear black, because I love edgy and moody styles. So I wanna tell you to keep this in mind: If your aesthetic doesn't work with your color palette, don't feel obligated to use only your color palette, create your own color scheme that creates the exact impact you love.
Mine is black, certain greys, white, certain berry tones, certain teals, greens and browns. And I mostly opt for mainly black/grey outfits with splashes of color. I am not into the cotton candy or bright candy aesthetic. I am dark, I am moody, so I allow myself to like and wear these colors and styles. And that's perfectly fine. I do wear my own colors quite a lot too, but only to work, not in my private time/realm. I even wear black lipstick when I don't go to work. I am a "part-time goth" if you will. And I still truly appreciate getting my colors done. It helped me heaps. I find it way easier to find a matching foundation and matching transition shades for eyeshadow. Also whenever I want a lip gloss that's easy to apply without a mirror, I use the knowledge I gained from color analysis as well. But consider me a rebel. I don't stick to rules very well. I wear blue-based eyeshadows, I wear black a lot, I wear cool colors. And I enjoy the fact I can carry brights very easily.
So get to know your colors, understand the impact of other colors on you and then decide what you truly want for yourself.
Just embrace your own individual being. And have the most fun possible with it.

Color theory isn't something to believe, it's a fact.. but what effect is better or what effect you like the most is subjective... some colors DO bring more yellow, or more red, or more dark, or more bright into your skin.. it just depends what you like.. it just happens that we as humans tend to like more bright and neutral colors.. but there's people that like more gray in their face, more olive, or more pale looks...

I think hair do actually mean a lot in colour analysis... I don't understand why in Korea they don't cover your hair too while making it. I don't want to sound mean, but to me you are nothing like a summer light... usually they have VERY fair skin, no yellow tones at all, very light coloured eyes and hair... I know in Europe colour analysis is different, but is it that different???
I would have assumed you are more like a winter deep. I searched a video of you when you started filming, and there was one in which you were wearing a dark copper cardigan! You looked exhausted.
Again, you filmed a video in natural light wearing a red coat, with a white shirt, and your appearance was soooo fresh, like a real life snow-white... I guess the pink hair suits you because you have a cool undertone, but to me with your natural hair colour you are definitely a beautiful winter deep 😅
If you check better the winter deep colour palette, you will notice that the colours that the lady showed you during your colour analysis are your "lights and neutrals", you have way more colours to wear girl 😌

I love pink and white on you! I thought you’d spring too. But I get confused by olive skin tones as they’re not as common where I live (and mainly in my circle of friends. We’re all red.) but I think you’re mainly Olive! And since olive colors are mainly blue and yellow with very little red it can have a different effect than what we think of as warm and cool. I think it’s common to see the yellow and think warm, but your blue overtakes the yellow.

    As expected, pink suits Mikan.💗
The pink hair color, ribbon, and even the clothes are all unified, which is lovely.
    💗👍👍👍👍👍👌
    The necklace is also nice.👍
Nowadays, there are touch panels and photo booths like Purikura in stores. Times have changed.👍📸
It's also a convenient and interesting app that allows you to create your own dress-up images for Yasu.
    👕📲👍
    All three were nice.👍
The girl who joined us along the way was a nice girl who liked Lolita.
The color of the heart cake was a very red.😅💘❤️🍰👍
    It was a nice video👍👍👍👍👍👌🎞️

There definitely is something to this as I have always stayed away from certain colours that I'm sure of that do not suit me.
The colour of my skin does seem to change at times. And for sure I'm able to wear more colours if I wear make up as it neutralises my face. I can do a bit more brighter colours in that case.
Red, bright white and beige are definitely not my colours.

Ya know what though, i think you could pull off black pretty well. Reminds me a lot of Perona from One Piece. Id think youd love her, pink hair AND some similar fashion sense. Look up her pre and post time skip pictures and you'll see what i mean. I love her style.
