Hi, I'm your new follower, I really liked your analysis of each of the albums. My favorite is Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I send you greetings from Venezuela
My favourite album is Powerslave, I was 14 when it was released and it just blew me away! From Churchill's speech on the opening of Aces High to the haunting, story-telling of The Rime of The Ancient Mariner, to me, is musical performance perfection personified! (The 3 'P's 🤣) I just missed out on The World Slavery Tour (to my eternal regret) and if time travel is ever achieved, Long Beach Arena, California would be my very first port of call! Love your enthusiasm (and ink) and this style of video, keep up the great work young lady, love from the U.K. 🇬🇧❤🇧🇷 Up The Irons 🤘🏼
The relationship between Maiden and Brazil is so cool; y'all are DEDICATED fans! I love watching concert footage because the crowds are just so amazing. This is the first video of yours I've seen - going to check out others to see if you always wear so much eye make up. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and I love it, just want to see what you look like without. Edit - watched the first ones. Now I know. :D Keep rocking!!! I'll subscribe.
Congrats. I have never seen or heard a better description about Iron Maiden in general and about my 3 favourite albums as well. Your speech is passionate, accurate and natural at the same time. I don't understand how your English is that fucking amazing Are you really Brazilian? I'm a Spanish fan of Maiden living in Dublin, Ireland. I have seen Maiden live 15 times and I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I encourage you to carry on uploading this kind of videos. You could perfectly be a metal journalist. Kind regards from Ireland and up the Irons.
Wow, thank you so much for your very generous comment. It’s very reassuring to read things like that. I really appreciate it! Yes I am Brazilian, born and raised, and have lived in Canada for the last 8 years. Thank you for the compliments on my English, I try my best. Lol 15 times?!?! Omg! I have only seen them twice! I really hope I see them again very soon once concerts are a thing again. Fingers crossed, and up the irons!
Fantastic video and the music by Iron Maiden is spectacular. I love watching Rock in Rio 2001 and 2019. 😊 Greetings from England and up the Irons! Btw...your command of English is amazing. 100% Great album picks! My top 3 are Seventh, Brave and Powerslave
Thank you for sharing, I imagine both of my now grown daughters (28/31) have a somewhat similar child hood as you. They grew up listening to Iron Maiden and heavy metal and I took them to a concert when they were in their teens. My favorite albums: Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Brave New World, Dance of Death, A matter of life and death, Somewhere in Time, 7th Son of a 7th Son and so on and so on. Chris

Iron Maiden emerged out of the UK NWOBHM My top 3 Seventh, Number, Somewhere. Yeah they are going down well in South America glad you got to see them. Welcome to the V.C
a top 3 is kinda hard for that's how much i love every thing Steve and the boys have done. i'll do a top 5 and break down why they are my top 5. 1. Number of the Beast : She summed it up nicely you can't go to a single maiden show with out at least three of these songs being in the set. the whole album so good they could likely stick every song in every set and peopel would never get tired of it. 2. Somewhere In Time: this is the really the first Iron Maiden album i ever heard. The sci-fi themes of the album just won me over. the bass guitar playing in this album turned me into a bass player years later when i picked up the instrument. very solid album. 3. X-factor: this one seems odd to be in the 3rd spot i know but bear with me . Sure it doesn't have bruce. the album is much darker than most Iron Maiden's stuff , but it stuck with me because the mid 90's was such a dark time for metal. I was in Highschool , MTV and the music industry was trying to kill metal, Metallica delivered a blow to the heart with that garbage "Load" album. few bands were really delivering hard hitting metal but IM like the well oiled engine they are, did deliver. and Blaze was really not too bad on this album. for the mood his vocals fit the time. This is also the first time i got to see Iron Maiden live during this record's tour. So yes sorry i wasn't part of the crowd ready to toss 'arry and boys to the curb simply over a vocalist change. I love this album even today. 4. Seventh So Of A Seventh Son. This album was just a masterpiece as far as themed albums go. I really can't overstate how beautifully this album flows from one song into the next so seamlessly. It's the second album of their's i ever heard. It's live video release was also the first live video of a band me and my bro bought. while the music of SWIT had me thinking bass when i was considering what instrument to play. seeing Maiden England on VHS is what really sold me on "I'm Definitely gonna play bass". Then our house burned down (1993) and that christmas my mom wanted to give us a good christmas because we lost every thing in the fire , so she got me a bass guitar. 5. Killers: This album got me through a very dark time in my life. remember me talking about my house burning down in 93. well for 4 months we were living out of a hotel that my mom worked at and didn't have squat to our names any more. for a 12 year old boy that's a pretty rough go of it to go from a room full of toys , music and many many things to absolutely nothing . well a friend of mine bought me killers knowing i liked iron maiden and he didn't want me to go with out any music soo for quite a while i blasted this album and enjoyed every track of it. I was already in love with Harris's bass playing and this album deleivers no less than his usual ummph it was a great album and i loved the grittier almost 70's sound to the band during this time of their career.
@Steve Fettuccine thanks though rereading what i typed now i spot all my typos and run-ons. LOL. oh well not trying to write a novel here. just wanted to give my two sense on what albums stand out to me the most. really even this top 5 was hard to do , i love pretty much every thing maiden has done. even their worst album (virtual XI) in my opinion is still an ok album . I just felt it was over produced and lacked that "live" feeling they try to capture in most their albums.
Wow, thank you so much for sharing your story here! Iron maiden really played a very important role in your life through the difficulties of losing everything... The power that music and bands have in our lives is amazing. ♥️
Excellent video. Wonderful story! Even exciting in several moments (mainly when mentioning the adorable and unforgettable "tio Marcelo"). The Number Of The Beast (the album) is not only one of Maiden's best albums, but it is practically the band's basic disco even for beginners until today and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son is also an album that still touches me so so deep. I just would not agree with Brave New World but this is a personal question, because it is an album that I expected a lot more when it was released and only in the next one (Dance Of Death), I felt that the band had achieved what I expected their. However, your story about Rock In Rio was the moment that moved me the most because it reminded me of you there. Yes, I was also there with "Uncle Marcelo" and everyone loves Uncle Marcelo. Up the Irons and also up for your channel, and I'm already promoting it now among my friends too...
Oh I am surprised not so much with your disappointment with Brave, but with how Dance of Death gave you what you expected! Because I think Dance of Death is highly underrated. If this were a top 5, DoD would be there (along with somewhere in time). And you were there and you remember me there?!?! Omg! Haha thank you for the promotion too, it’s much appreciated!
@@dcwonders1222 hahaha... the funny thing is that after I made this comment in your video I was thinking a lot, and... What would my Iron Maiden TOP 5 be if someone asked me to list it. And as our friend mentioned above, I am from the Rock In Rio 1985 generation too, so my 5 favorites may be (in order): Piece Of Mind (1983), Powerslave (1984), Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son (1988), Iron Maiden (1980) and The Number Of The Beast (1982). Errr... anyway... the 80's era is still my passion!
Nice video! I have argued for a long time that Powerslave can contend with any other contender for Best metal album of all time. They just shredded whilst they were at the top of their game!
Powerslave is probably the winner if we were to consult every Maiden fan in the world! I have a soft spot for Flash of the Blade for some reason out of all the songs in the album. 🤔
@@dcwonders1222 It took me a while to warm up to Seventh Son when it came out, probably because of the shift towards a much more prominent progressive style, but through the years, it has worked its way up to contending with Powerslave as a potential candidate for all time best metal album. I just love how the band and their music still inspire listeners of all ages today and beyond.
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING IRON MAIDEN ON MY LIFE!!!! THE CLANSMAN!!!!!!!! SIGN OF THE CROSS. 10 - 11YEARS OLD THAT'S WHEN I KNEW I LOVED METAL AND BECAUSE OF YOU MARY ❤️❤️❤️❤️ My favorites might be: Piece of Mind Seventh Son Powerslave Number of the Beast Brave new world Book of souls Not in this specific order. Love your earrings!!
Great choices. Although you can't go wrong with any maiden albums. Really cool that you were at the Rio concert, that must have been fantastic especially being your first gig. Think my top 3 would be fear of the dark, brave new world and X factor. 🤘🤘
Thank you, loved the thoughtfulness that went into this, as a hardcore fan since 1981. I'll include my 1 - 16 list. Lots of really special albums here, but AMOLAD is the masterpiece in my opinion. Also requires the closest examination and repeat listens in order to elevate it past NOTB, Powerslave and others. 16) No Prayer For The Dying 15) Virtual XI 14) Fear of the Dark 13) X Factor 12) Final Frontier 11) Iron Maiden 10) Killers 09) Brave New World 08) Dance of Death 07) The Book of Souls 06) Somewhere in Time 05) Seventh Son 04) Number of the Beast 03) Piece of Mind 02) Powerslave 01) A Matter of Life and Death
Iron Maiden was my first metal concert back in 1982. They were the opening act for Judas Priest. I still have all my ticket stubs. This concert cost $9.50. Wow, what would that cost these days?
Perfeito.
Even with the big golden hoops you're perfect... Maiden is huge in Texas as well we have a huge metal/blues fanbase. My top three: 1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 2. Brave New World 3. Piece of Mind Honorable mentions include Number of the Beast, Powerslave, and Dance of Death. I'm a huge Maiden fan too. Up the irons!!!
Thank you! Yours is top notch as well. I can respect someone who has the knowledge and loves the band like I do. The way you went into detail with your reasoning was really excellent to see. Very good job!
We have the same type of relationship with the band in Chile. Probably the biggest fandom in the country. They also come over all the time, I've seen two of their shows and the crowd goes insane, some of the best experiences of my life.
Great to see your love for the best band ever!. Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind & Powerslave my three. Not many bad songs or albums tbh lol. You got any Maiden tatts?
Im a 50 year old from America who has always loved maiden since 1986. God i wish their were more girls like u with ur musical tastes here in America! I so agree with u Infinite Dreams is such a great underrated song. I bought seventh son on cassette tape as soon as it came out in 1988 and was disappointed with it. Thought it was too poppy. I then read an article where Steve Harris said people will appreciate this album more in years later than they do now. He was so right cuz now i rank seventh son in my top 3 but didnt like it much in 1988. I also but Somewhere in time as my favorite Iron Maiden album of all time. Powerslave rounds out my top 3 and live after Death is the greatest live album of all time period. I wore out the vhs video of this as a kid.
My three top albums would be Seventh son of a seventh son; Somewhere in Time; Brave New World. I envy you that Rock in Rio gig. It must have been great feeling to be there and experience such a massive show. Viva 🇧🇷 Saudações da Polónia🇵🇱
I always love listening to fellow Iron Maiden fans. As much as people like to pan Blaze Bayley in the end he did help to keep the band going and we should thank him for that.
Fellow brazilian here (carioca), teus sotaque é tão natural que nunca repararia.. 1) Killers 2) Powerslave 3) Iron Maiden / The Number Of the Beast. Up the Irons
My top 3 Piece of Mind,The Number of the Beast,Iron Maiden. Of course I also love Powerslave,Killers,Somewhere in Time,7th Son of a 7th Son,and Brave New World.
Hey DC. Love the show and looking forward to more of this in the new year. Drop by our radio station anytime. 3. Iron Maiden 2. Killers 1. piece of mind.
1)piece of mind 2)number of the beast 3)powerslave Haven't liked an album after somewhere in time...... certain songs, yes, but no album front to back. I've seen them 7 times between number of the beast and seventh son..... my favorite metal band, and my second favorite band regardless of genre (pink Floyd is #1)
Jesus Christ... why don't you shoot me in the head already!!! THAT was a thing of beauty. Your passion for the subject is contagious. Loved ev'ry sec. Powerslave is a no brainer to me, the rest is just a mixture of awesomness with no particular order... Godamn... still recovering...
1 The number of the beast. 2.Seventh son 3 Powerslave ... As meatloaf said 2 out of 3 ain't bad. On a side note yes beast is very satanic themed but the last word Bruce sings on the album is Hallowed be thy name
I can’t pick any top 3, too hard. I also love Brave New World. Powerslave as well, Rime of The Ancient Mariner gets better with each listen. The Number of The Beast the song is also one of my favorites songs ever. Again, too hard to choose.
IN - TEG - RAL lol Number of the Beast really kicked Maidens career off, thanks in part to Martin Birch, Piece Of Mind defines Maiden and Powerslave was an awesome album that was just 1980's metal through and through. :-) And dont forget Derek Riggs artwork .....outstanding.
My top three of Iron Maiden in personal importance, not my fave three though The Beast is my fave Maiden album; The Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind, Brave New World. Pasi
Mine would be 1)Somewhere in Time 2)Seventh son 3)numberofbeastFinalfrontierPieceofmindPOWERSLAVE.. or is that cheating. I think 7thson may be an objectively better album than SIT, but SIT was my first maiden album as a kid and I played it to death(literally, the cassette tape got chewed out), it was also my first introduction to real metal, so I think nostalgia plays a huge role, but I'm sure 7thson is the better album.
Hahaha that’s definitely cheating but hey, I know the struggle! Yes that makes sense! Our first albums always hold sway. In your case it was the first maiden and the first real metal so that does mean a lot, I imagine!
Hey what happened to you I haven’t seen you post anything up in a while I subscribed and push the bell to get notification but I haven’t got any notification or anything you by you just kind of wondering what’s up
for me (i cheat with my fave record) "live after death" i have a thing for seventh son of a seventh son ( that record got me though middle school) and brave new world ( got it the day I got my staff sergeant rank when i was in the army....my gift to myself)
2001 was the second Iron Maiden concert at Rock in Rio, if i am not on the wrong track? Maiden played there 85, 01, 13, 19. My faves are Brave new world / rock in rio Powerslave maybe The Final Frontier The actuell Live album is not so good, because - where the f**k is the crowd sound? For that reason i like the Rock in Rio 2019 rip from youtube. ;-) Normally i hear the live albums or the 2 best ofs. cheers from germany.
I am so jealous. In America, you have fans and you have trenders. In S.A., it is a way of life, and that is awesome. For the most part, if you go to a show in America, you will get the crazies on the floor. But the stands pretty much sit in their chairs all proper like. Don't get me wrong, it's not like a funeral or anything, just not the same contagious energy you all have. Favorite cover: Somewhere in time, Live After Death, Brave New World Favorite Album: Powerslave, Seventh Son, Number Favorite Song: Acacia 22, Revelations, The Ghost of Navigators Bonus; Favorite Bruce Songs: Accident of Birth, Tears of the Dragon, Book of Thel Great Video, and if I knew Portuguese, which I should being that I am half Portuguese, I would tell you that way. Thanks for sharing! If you have a minute, we recorded an Eddie Van Halen tribute video. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our channel. Don't go too hard on us :)
Great video.. Number of the beast album cover is far from blasphemous even though for years l thought it was aswell... Man(small Eddie) was made in the image of God(Big Eddie) and the Devil (inbetween) is God's slave sent to test the hearts of Men and Women.. All from Bible
1. Seventh son of a seventh son, 2. Brave new world, 3. The number of the beast. 4. Piece of mind, 5. Somewhere in time 6. Iron maiden, 7. Power slave, 8. Fear of the dark, 9. Final frontier, 10. A matter of life and death.

Seventh Son
Powerslave
Number of the Beast
Brave new world
Book of souls
Not in this specific order.
Love your earrings!!
Adding note now that I am in the part of the video you're speaking of blaze: one of my favorite songs nowadays is Man on the Edge
2003 (probably) ❤️
@@Taty_a_trovejante I love Man on the Edge!!!
Hahaha thank you Tati!!!
Great choices. Although you can't go wrong with any maiden albums. Really cool that you were at the Rio concert, that must have been fantastic especially being your first gig.
Think my top 3 would be fear of the dark, brave new world and X factor. 🤘🤘
Interesting, none from the 80’s golden era... You must be a first here! Thank you for your comment!
16) No Prayer For The Dying
15) Virtual XI
14) Fear of the Dark
13) X Factor
12) Final Frontier
11) Iron Maiden
10) Killers
09) Brave New World
08) Dance of Death
07) The Book of Souls
06) Somewhere in Time
05) Seventh Son
04) Number of the Beast
03) Piece of Mind
02) Powerslave
01) A Matter of Life and Death
Now that’s an ambitious undertaking... Maybe I should try ranking them all too... 🤔
Iron Maiden was my first metal concert back in 1982. They were the opening act for Judas Priest. I still have all my ticket stubs. This concert cost $9.50. Wow, what would that cost these days?
Perfeito.
Even with the big golden hoops you're
perfect... Maiden is huge in Texas as well we have a huge metal/blues fanbase. My top three:
1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
2. Brave New World
3. Piece of Mind
Honorable mentions include Number of the Beast, Powerslave, and Dance of Death. I'm a huge Maiden fan too. Up the irons!!!
I like your selection a lot!
Thank you! Yours is top notch as well. I can respect someone who has the knowledge and loves the band like I do. The way you went into detail with your reasoning was really excellent to see. Very good job!
@@JB-xh5mc that is very kind of you! Thank you so very much for that. 🤟🏼
We have the same type of relationship with the band in Chile. Probably the biggest fandom in the country. They also come over all the time, I've seen two of their shows and the crowd goes insane, some of the best experiences of my life.
You'll be very pleased at the announcement that Maiden are to headline Rock in Rio once again this year then! Up The Irons 🤘🏼
I’d be more pleased if I could be there to experience it again...
Powerslave, The Number of the beast and Somewhere in time would be my top 3 but that could change from time to time 🤘
Mine has changed over time as well! Dance of Death sometimes takes a slot!
I concur. Those are truly the best albums.
@@dcwonders1222 I love all those albums.
Great to see your love for the best band ever!.
Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind & Powerslave my three.
Not many bad songs or albums tbh lol.
You got any Maiden tatts?
I have plans to get one! I just don’t know if it would be a lyric fragment or something graphic. Do you have one?
Mine to plus seventh son
Aww thank you for the kind words! Seventh son on cassette must be a sight! Wow.
My three top albums would be Seventh son of a seventh son; Somewhere in Time; Brave New World. I envy you that Rock in Rio gig. It must have been great feeling to be there and experience such a massive show. Viva 🇧🇷 Saudações da Polónia🇵🇱
My first album was seventh son and I was 14 in 1988!!! i it was love at first hear... still listening to Maiden, they're the best band
I always love listening to fellow Iron Maiden fans. As much as people like to pan Blaze Bayley in the end he did help to keep the band going and we should thank him for that.
Hola Brazil!! Up the Irons. 🤘
You know what? By the 7th time you watch it, it's still a great video!!!!
Hahaha excellent! 😆
Fellow brazilian here (carioca), teus sotaque é tão natural que nunca repararia..
1) Killers
2) Powerslave
3) Iron Maiden / The Number Of the Beast.
Up the Irons
Sou carioca tb! Nascida no Rio, criada em Teresópolis! ♥️
1)Piece Of Mind , 2) Powerslave , 3) The Number Of The Beast, 4) Somewhere In Time 5) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

1. Killers!!!
2. Piece Of Mind!!!
3. The Number of The Beast!!!
Honorable Mention
Brave New World
Iron Maiden
Somewhere In Time
Love BNW! Blood Brothers is a hymn for me...!
Iron Maiden é tão popular no Brasil que até tem versão forró de Fear of The Dark. Toca em tudo que é buteco e até o latino já fez música. Doideira!
Hahaha pois é!
Live your life with a passion, everything you do, do well. You only get out of life what you put in.
The Apparition
Fear of the dark
IRON MAIDEN
1)piece of mind
2)number of the beast
3)powerslave
Haven't liked an album after somewhere in time...... certain songs, yes, but no album front to back.
I've seen them 7 times between number of the beast and seventh son..... my favorite metal band, and my second favorite band regardless of genre (pink Floyd is #1)
22 acacia avenue is a not stop listen to also Where Eagles Dare off of Peace of mind album is a great album.
Omg ❤️
Jesus Christ... why don't you shoot me in the head already!!! THAT was a thing of beauty. Your passion for the subject is contagious. Loved ev'ry sec. Powerslave is a no brainer to me, the rest is just a mixture of awesomness with no particular order...
Godamn... still recovering...
All the love to you!
1. The number of the beast. 2. Powerslave 3. Piece of mind. In that order.
First concert was Rock in Rio??? That is so cool.
Seventh son of a seventh son is the greatest album of all time - Future and past - all genres.
I feel you
Hahaha yup!
Somewhere in time , killers and then Number of the beast are my top 3. But there are no wrong answers.
My top three of Iron Maiden in personal importance, not my fave three though The Beast is my fave Maiden album; The Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind, Brave New World.
Pasi
So we share 2!
No, no, no...
1. Somewhere in time
2. Powerslave
3. Any other album 😀
😆 I know... if this were a top 5 instead, somewhere in time would be there, along with dance of death!
And seventh son!!!!
Rock in Rio for brave new world is an asmr tingly wonder.
Its like chosing your favorite child... cant do it. And it varies for me depending on my mood.
Seventh son es una obra de arte
Brave New World is def one of my desert island discs.
Number of the Beast, Powerslave, 7th Son, Book of Souls
Simple.....
1.Killers
2.TNOTB
3. Piece Of Mind.
They peaked with Powerslave.
Mine would be
1)Somewhere in Time
2)Seventh son
3)numberofbeastFinalfrontierPieceofmindPOWERSLAVE.. or is that cheating.
1. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
2. The Number Of The Beast
3. Piece Of Mind
4. Somewhere in Time
5. Brave New World
My top 5 would have the same ones except piece of mind would be replaced by Dance of Death!
@@dcwonders1222
My favourite song from that album is Montsegur.... what is your choice ? 🤔
@@Surfer-iv4qs I would have to say the title track, Dance of Death!
1- seventh son of a seventh son;
2 - live after death
3 - brave new world
Hey what happened to you I haven’t seen you post anything up in a while I subscribed and push the bell to get notification but I haven’t got any notification or anything you by you just kind of wondering what’s up
That is a good question and one that I need to address! Stay tuned for an update that I will post very soon!
....almost every album of them is greatful...you can replace every album invidially in each position as well as you feel just emotion...
Você é brasileira ? Tem um mapa do Brasil na parece !
Sim! Falo a respeito disso no vídeo!
for me (i cheat with my fave record) "live after death" i have a thing for seventh son of a seventh son ( that record got me though middle school) and brave new world ( got it the day I got my staff sergeant rank when i was in the army....my gift to myself)
It’s always about the memories!
2001 was the second Iron Maiden concert at Rock in Rio, if i am not on the wrong track?
Maiden played there 85, 01, 13, 19.
My faves are
Brave new world / rock in rio
Powerslave
maybe The Final Frontier
The actuell Live album is not so good, because - where the f**k is the crowd sound? For that reason i like the Rock in Rio 2019 rip from youtube. ;-)
Normally i hear the live albums or the 2 best ofs.
cheers from germany.
Yes it was the second but my first iron maiden concert and my first concert ever!
What about "A Matter of Life and Death?"
Didn’t make it! Although it’s a great album. Out of the shadows is awesome and for the greater good of god... And many others actually
Very good album. It's just the a specific album meant something in a life time.
3. Iron Maiden
2. Killers
1. The Number of the Beast
Favorite cover: Somewhere in time, Live After Death, Brave New World
Favorite Album: Powerslave, Seventh Son, Number
Favorite Song: Acacia 22, Revelations, The Ghost of Navigators
Bonus; Favorite Bruce Songs: Accident of Birth, Tears of the Dragon, Book of Thel
Great Video, and if I knew Portuguese, which I should being that I am half Portuguese, I would tell you that way. Chow.
Thanks for sharing! If you have a minute, we recorded an Eddie Van Halen tribute video. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our channel. Don't go too hard on us :)
You look fanatsmagorical!
I saw them in Ozzfest 2005 San Bernardino California, UP THE IRONS, And yah they got hit with eggs it sucked.
