i went on this today and the hands down scariest part was the lift (it feels like you are going to fall out but trust me you won’t) hanging is pretty scary too but after the drop it’s a ton of fun!!

I rode this when I was pretty small with my parents and there was this adult man (behind us…? don’t remember lol) who was really scared when we started up the lift.
I was shutting my eyes tight when I heard that full grown man say in a genuinely scared voice: “I’m sorry if I curse!” 😭 I could hear the tears in his voice lol.
Then when we were hanging he yelled the F-bomb. My mom who was next to me yelled back at him as we dropped, “HEY! WATCH YOUR LANG- UAAAGGHHH!!”

I literally waited to go on that for like 2 hours and after the drop and stuff I literally sat outside for 10 minutes to comprehend how scary and actually worth it was
this was me when i went on ghost rider for the first time lol it was intense but I loved it i couldn’t walk when I gotta off the ride everything was dizzy and blurry for me lol

This is proof that apps like RUclips are tracking your location- this showed up on my feed and I'm literally in line for this ride right now. I love HangTime though, it's one of my favorite rides at Knotts.
The drop may be at the steepest angle I've ever seen, but it isn't really going that high..
It’s a lot bigger in person (150’).
Pull up Cannibal. Its located at Lagoon in Farmington, UT. 290 foot drop I believe. 116° angle for the first drop. Its definitely a thrill ride. Hang time opened 3 years after cannibal, and they seem super similar

Takabisha at Fuji-Q Highland in Japan and TMNT Shellraiser at Nickelodeon Universe in New Jersey are steeper at a 121-degree angle.

This ride is a masterpiece.. you could get that tingling feeling in ur stomach while screaming but still have that joy feeling .
The scariest moment is that climb on your back and getting to the top, seeing nothing but sky, only to roll forward and be dangled facing straight down 😨

at first I was terrified of this, but my friend begged me to go on, and I love it!!! The first part is kind of scary but the second part is REALLY FUN!!!
It's short, but very sweet! That initial climb is GREAT!
Man I came to knottsberry recently and because it was slightly raining on and off for the whole day nobody was there, got to go on every single ride in a matter of minutes, amazing.
rode this for the first time today, definitely terrifying at first but the second you drop it feels great

I love this ride from start to finish (have ridden it probably 200+ times in the past, having visited every day before quarantine after work), but my favorite moment is always that brief like 0.2 seconds of ejector you get from the slight drop coming out of the cutback.
Just how sudden it is, with your body wanting to go straight and the train just diving down, the brief burst of ejector there is like nothing else. I live for that feeling, haha
I've felt some more sustained ejector before, but I don't think I've ever felt as violent of a quick pop of ejector as that, and I love it.

When I went to knotts with my cousin I so badly wanted to go on this ride but she didn’t want to go after we went on that aerial tour thing because she saw how high it was. And she is pretty brave when it comes to crazy rollercoasters.

I live not far from Knotts. I really love this ride! Lines aren't as bad as other rides but they can get a bit long. Worth the wait in my opinion!

Hangtime is so fun...if you go on silv r bullet before..it's fun but don't go in the front go in the middle on hangtime becuase the front you see the drop and it makes u more scared
my friend made me go on it, and I was screaming at her the whole way up that I was gonna kill her if we made it out alive, and then it dropped and I became instantly addicted to rollercoasters it was one of the best days of my life
I live in Iowa, and here we have a similar one 'The Monster' still a Gerstlauer, and this one goes straight up, then skyrockets down into a curve, as in it curves inward, so you don't see the track. I would recommend checking it out!
OMG this ride was INSANE THERE IS NO SHOULDER HARNESS DEFINITELY HANGTIME!!!! IT WAS SO MUCH HIGHER AND FASTER THAN U CAN EVER IMAGINE SO SO CRAZY COOL😅

I like hang time yesterday I was scared because it was my first time. But really I don’t mind the parts where you go upside down
I went on it already so when ur going up on the hill u feel like ur gonna die but once ur on top and ur facing down u try to push ur self up but u can't and the drop is kinda bad and u do have to scream alot but once ur off the drop for the rest of the ride u really dont feel like screaming because it doesn't really feel bad

This ride is fun. Everyone thinks the drop is the worst part but no. That straight up vertical climb upwards is the worst part, you literally feel like your gonna fall back. After that lift the rest of the ride is fun. I have legit panic attacks going up that lift.
Rode it yesterday, felt like I was about to slip out on every loop 😭 which made it 10x scarier
This ride is so damn intense lol. I was in the front row seat, and when you're hanging, you're leaning forward so you feel like you're going to fall out of the seat, and it goes so fast once it drops you. I loved it, but I was terrified at the same time lol.
Some people are crazy like this lady who me & my friend met in line when her & her kids go on it they lean forward hanging & dangling their arms at the top & im like omg don’t do that haha because i went on it with her & my best friend & she was telling me they do that I’m like oh no i won’t be doing that 😂😂😂

Had a couple funny instances while riding HangTime at Knott's Berry Farm that I still remember vividly; I miss Knott's so much!
First, I thought I was going to be the only one in the back row, but when I was putting my stuff away and went to sit down, there was a chick sitting on the end, and I looked back and saw another coming plus their dad, so I stood aside to let them through. Their Dad goes through, and sits on the end and I'm like "uhhh.... sir?" and he doesn't hear me and keeps buckling his seatbelt, so I'm just like "ok" and step in front to ride the middle seat. The chicks started laughing and were like "Dad, he was trying to be nice" and "we've only been here for like 2 hours and he's already embarrassing us".
Then, again in the back row, this couple rides with me, and the chick is almost panicking in anxiety, and the dude isn't much better. The chick wanted to sit in the 3rd seat and have her BF sit on the end so we would be separated, but he refused to sit on the end and was literally like "fuck that, I'm not going to fall of the edge on the end". Then when they check the restraints, they just slightly push down to make sure it's locked (which is more than enough of a check), but she starts freaking out saying that they need to check her restraint more because she isn't about to die on this ride, and the ride op on our side ignored her. When the ride op on the other side came through, she was like "can you double check mine again please, I don't want to die" and the ride op started almost laughing and lightly pushed down and was like "you're good"
Now this is my slightly sadistic sense of humor, but after that, she asked me if I had been on it, and then asked what the worst part was, and I gave a semi honest answer but embellished it a bit. I was like "the first lift is by far the scariest part. The seats are a little slanted backward, so it feels like you're going to fall out the entire way up. Buuuuut, after that, it's a breeze and fun af"
She was freaking out at the top, where you just hang there, and once we started creeping towards the drop, I was like 'only one way to go from here!! hahahahhaa" and she was like "I fucking know, thank...aaasegnoasengoiae" lmfao

In my opinion, Hangtime has problems with its lifthill which causes it to be closed
really the only thing that is scary is that vertical climb, but the ride is very fun!
There are so many points on this ride that activate my monkey brain and make me feel like Im going to be flung out of the ride, 10/10 will ride every time I'm there

Belts are not on shoulders but only on hips. Is it enough for safety?
Sure. I prefer having no over the shoulder harness. Plus they have a seat belt for back up.

The best way I could describe this ride to any first timer. When you see it while walking around or in the distance, say waiting in line for Silver bullet, the ride honestly doesn’t look like shit. Considering how big boomerang was (the coaster this one replaced), and how big some of the other coasters are around there. But man the first time I went on there I was seriously humbled. You don’t realize how small you really are until you get on it.

This reminds me back when the ride was in production I was actually there when they were still making the ride and when they were doing test runs.
If all you heard were the sounds of the riders, i.e. "I DON'T LIKE THIS! I DON'T LIKE THIS!" Followed by their incredible screaming, one could think that they were taking a dive into a wood chopper.
Those of you who have ridden this: What's the worst part of this ride? Is it the anticipation of the drop, or the drop itself? Or something else? And do you feel 0Gs, or do you feel like you're going to fly out of the car? Coasters for me are hit and miss. I love the Indiecoaster at California Adventure, as it is smooth and I feel weightless when I drop. However, I hate the Ghostrider, as it's rough and jerky, and despite being buckled in with both a belt and bar, I felt like I was going to fly out of the car.

Worse part is going up being scared actually (Like getting up) also the “Hangtime” you get! The drop is a normal drop from the classic “giant drop, V2c Goliath type” (SFGA)
I have ridden this ride. Honestly its more fun than scary. the anticipation of waiting in line and the lift hill are the scariest cause your feet dangle above you. The drop isnt too bad though
