I feel like nobody talks about the first drop on GhostRider. It is a legendary drop. In the back row, you get yanked over the drop getting amazing sustained ejector while also getting crazy laterals at the bottom. And you’re being engulfed by the structure. It’s so good. At night, I just forget about the bottom of the drop so the laterals are even more pronounced.
Oh, I know. I went to Knotts Merry Farm 2022. Rode my first roller coaster! GhostRider. I had no clue what I was getting into. Didn't research or nothing. That first drop is iconic. Period. I almost collapsed, I mean grabber style.
The first time I rode Ghostrider was in my very early enthusiast days, and I knew nothing about the ride. I was so shooketh when I rode it for the first time not knowing how amazing it was gonna be 😂

The water rides look amazing at Knott’s. Maybe not quite Islands of Adventure, but they’re almost there. Wish I had time to ride them when I went.

Knotts easily has the best logride in the US that doesn't have the word Splash in the title.

To me Knott's log ride is tied with do rights for my favorite. I think slpash is overrated. However the rapids ride I think isn't good at all

That's what it started as to begin with, and they gradually added more and more amusement stuff to it.
I'm gonna go off on a limb and say that GhostRider is gonna be number 1.
Edit: It was! Haven't ridden it but it looks so good!
I haven't ridden it since the retracking a few years ago. Honestly I LOVED how rough it had gotten and I'm a little worried it might be anticlimactic now....

Log rides are a must when I'm at a park. I can't wait to get out to this park and ride it
@@mikes6457 Only down side is that it has a VERY long line on crowded days. Probably a good one to hit first after arriving early.

Yes! I’m planning to get back to the Disneyland Resort in early June, so once I do that i’ll be sure to make one for the disney parks!

I'm glad to see some love given to Calico Mine Train and Timber Mountain Log Ride! I love coasters like Xcelerator and Ghost Rider as much as the next guy, but these are fantastic dark rides that I feel like don't get enough respect from people.
I love samurai ( Thorpe parks top scan) it is crazy, and it was mental when I had one ride at 9pm in the rain it was insane! It was run like a fair ground attraction!

Im 59 years old love Knotts Berry Farm I remember my parents taking us five kids every 4th of July in the 70s. Not a big coaster fan, but live the whole park. Thanks for posting.

Great list and great video! I'd probably put GhostRider #1 too as I love wooden coasters. I hope you do Cedar Point soon as familiar with their rides and coasters as I am.
I've only been on Silver Bullet once. And I think it's the dizziest any ride has ever made me. I think it was those final two helices that did me in. I still have yet to ride Hang Time! That's awesome that Knott's is your local park. It's definitely a great one!

I am from and live in San Diego - I'm ashamed to say I've never been to Knotts! I tell myself that I was just waiting for Cedar Fair to take over. Even tho...that was a while back I guess, haha. As a kid we always did a multiple-day trip to Disneyland every Christmas season, and usually another time for my bday in January. They had a Disney campground (in the middle of Anaheim, lol) behind the Disneyland Hotel, and my dad would take us up in the motorhome. There was a monorail station like right there, so no front gate issues or waiting... still idk why my parents never took us to Knotts. But it does look better than ever nowadays!

Taking my 11 year old son to Knotts on Friday. Although he won’t go on some of the more intense rides, I think this is a good start as he hasn’t been on a roller coaster ever. Hoping he has a love of coasters like me once he has experienced one.

Hey I’m going for the first time to knotts and can I ask you is ghost rider really scary or is it really fun. And I mean are the drops scary af or no? I’m kinda scared but I wanna end my fears of roller coasters so it will be awesome if you answered

Of the 11 wooden coasters I've ridden: Coaster at Playland in Vancouver and Ghostrider are my favourites, in the back row. Then again, I've never ridden El Toro, The Voyage, Wildfire, Wood Coaster at Knight Valley, Jungle coaster in Bamboo Forest, Hades 360, T-Express, or Shivering Timbers. Either way: Ghostrider and Coaster at Playland are BOTH within the top 10 best wooden roller coasters that exist in the world today.

Cuz I’m weird my fave ride is Hangtime with Ghostrider close after. Anyway I’m really excited because on Saturday I’m riding stealth (a near clone of xcelerator) and it’s really fun! When I ride it I’ll be thinking about this video

The first time I went on Ghostrider I was 8, and I got to experience the ride during the night. I got to say it was awesome, definitely worth the wait!
Ghostrider was the first big coaster I have ever ridden and it is still hands down my favorite even though I rode it before they refurbished it

My favorite ride there is Timber Mountain Log Ride followed by Montezoom's Revenge, Xcelerator, Pony Express, Calico Mine Ride, Bigfoot Rapids, Coast Rider, Jaguar, Silver Bullet, Ghost Rider and Boomerang. But keep in mind that I was there in 2014 so this could easily change after all those new additions.
I love Knotts, and fun fact, the original Knotts Bear-y Tales was designed by Rolly Crump (of Haunted Mansion fame) and he gave input on the new version of the ride (a bit like what Tony Baxter will supposedly do for the Splash Mountain retheme)
I like sky cabin. The longest wait time for supreme scream I seen was about 30 minutes. I agree with you that silver built don’t have a good drop. Ghost rider is one of my favorite rides at Knott’s berry farm. I always try to get a night ride on it.

I'm literally in Hotel Breakers, just finished the last day at Cedar Point, and hitting this video because I haven't been to Knotts in ages and we'll be down that way later this year. It's a sickness!
I have been in Magic Mountain's tower. The view is pretty awesome. I forget how many years ago that was. Maybe 10? It's been closed a pretty long time. Sad because it was one of the few places in the park that has AC.
That is actually false. I've seem this started a few other places. The tower at SFMM, does NOT have AC in it. Not sure how or why that started, but that is 100% false.
@@quintocreations5091 Odd that you'd pick this hill to die on. But whatev's. It was very much air conditioned. The vents are near the top of the tower room on the inner wall opposite the windows. They were blasting cold air on a hot day. This isn't a rumor. This is fact. Unless I was hallucinating (hint: I wasn't). Not sure why this is so important to you, but there you have it. I'm sure part of the reason the tower was shut down was to conserve on energy costs because Six Flags is both broke and cheap.
Me and my family a few years ago went to knotts. We rode plenty of rides and had so much fun. We were waiting in ghost rider for around 25 minutes, and then bam, they shut it down for maintenance
I hope we go back so I can experience what you say one of the best wooden roller coasters out there

5:48 I enjoyed the new dark ride at Knott’s berry farm this summer.
I've only been to Knott's Berry Farm once in 2014. Ghost Rider was the worst roller coaster I've ever been on. It was so rough that I could literally feel my brain rattle in my skull. It took me at least an hour to recover after that. Other than this, I loved all the other rides I went on. Favorite was probably Silver Bullet with Xcelerator being a very close second. Much like you said, Sierra side winder was quite a surprise. Since the cars spun freely, the ride is never the same twice. Back then, they had Boomerang, which I quite liked.
They redid the entire track so the ride is way smoother now. It used to really kill my neck and shoulders!
Everytime I ride ghost rider it gets me excited like a kid again, my fiancee says that I get excited yell stuff that make no sense but that just what this ride does. Also my favorite ride in the park. Knotts is my home park and literally evertime I've been Xcelerator at some point is down for maintenance. Great list
i went on the ghost rider yesterday i forgot how it felt i wasn’t ready, the last time i went on it was like 3 years ago
I waited over a half hour on Supreme Scream back in July because crowds were so miserably packing for a time where reservations were supposedly required
I went on the La Revolution ride and Dragon Swing ride at Fiesta village.
I love wipeout, honestly the 2nd most intense ride at the park IMO (after xcelerator ofc)
I love Montezoomas Revenge. There was one at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh but it was removed.
Good list but I also think La Revolucion is a fun flat ride too. In fact I would have made it a tie with Wipeout.
It was actually very close, as it would’ve came it at #16 😆

Edit: Also the reason why Knotts puts a lot of time in the Calico Mine Train is that one of its big things is that it was Walt Disney's inspiration for The Pirates of the Caribbean ride
I would say my favorite 10-15 rides at Knott’s Berry Farm would be Ghost Rider, Silver Bullet, Hangtime, Supreme Scream, Montezooma’s Revenge, Log Ride, Mine Ride, Jaguar, Pony Express, Big Foot Rapids, Bear-Y-Tales, Sierra Sidewinder, Coast Rider, Wave Swingers and Pacific Scrambler.
So TRUE! I was in Cali two weeks ago and Ghost Rider is insane! Scared the sh$t out of me! It was going so fast, I thought we were going to go off the edge lol 😆 FYI..I road it twice smdh 😃

Back in the 1970's and 1980's they had one similar to Wipe Out called the Fiesta Wheel
Every video puts ghost rider as number one but my personal favorite is xcelorator but ghost rider is very very close behind it.

The MM tower did have a great view, and at the top it wasn’t enclosed in glass. It had crosswired windows that you could put your hand through - say, to drop a little superball out if you’re the type to do that. 🙄

The ride waiting times are all very long? If you can, try to go on a weekday because the lines are so short then. I once got to ride 7 rides when I went there.
me and my friend got really lucky and were able to ride ghostrider before the park closed so the line had no wait time and the lights were bussen
