Beautifully done. Love how it was all ‘hand tooled’.

That looks incredible. I’ve just bought a 1940’s set of shears for garden use, they might be getting turned into knives now.

I like the way you did the handle. Working around the "tang" the way it was, instead of changing it really made this build awesome.

Another excellent make! That blade turned out to be beautiful. Well done 👍

Just subscribed. Nice work! I'm actually from Amarillo, Texas. Your pronunciation of it is more of a typical Spanish style (actually the correct pronunciation), where we tend to pronounce the L's and the "i" is less of an "eeee" sound and more like the "i" in "it's."
    Really enjoyed your project!

Thad handle really looks good! All made with hand tools, really impressive!
I would make that padauk handle part on a slight angle towards the blade. to my taste anyway. but it's always easier to make a comment on finished product :) Nice work!

The only thing I would have done is I would have run brass pins through the tang and handle. Only because I don't trust glue or epoxy and cause I think it would have looked cool. Fantastic job. Your handle looks fantastic. Quite inspiring actually.

      Thank you!
I was thinking about pins too, but without drill press I didn't want to take a chanse to drill it free hand, I knew I'd screw that up! I ain't gonna use his knife much, it is going to be a shelf resident, so it'll be fine for sure!

I've made a couple of knives from sheep shears. Not a fan of the gap between the handle and blade. And upturning the edge at the end adds utility. Nice blade, but not what I would make.

    Hi. How are you doing?
This yellow wood, wouldn't be Moreira amarela?
    Oi. Tudo bem?
Está madeira amarela, não seria Moreira amarela?
