Awesome video TAK! Just wanted to say that your "Camponotus consobrinus" colony is actually Camponotus nigriceps. It is because they have fully black abdomens while consobrinus have a small orange band around the top part of the abdomen :)
@@alansants4262 I’m not saying your wrong, what I am saying is there are tons and tons it’s ants similar to Camponotus nigriceps so there is a fair chances it might not be nigriceps, to rly know if it was nigriceps we would need a clear macro shot of the heads and mandibles
@@southernants Will do😆Just search up Camponotus nigriceps and it looks spot on like the video. Don't want to make arguments but I can confirm that it is as many of my other ant keeping friends also said I was right :)
@@alansants4262 ah 👍 I just show scepticism Cause Ive Seen so many cases of people get Mixed up With nigriceps instead of some other type of tanaemyrmex (including me lol)
Cant wait to see the weavers grow, they're such a unique and beautiful species, you're so lucky that you were able to go and rescue these girls, and the nigriceps, they've exploded and I hope they do well in their new nest! Keep up the good content my friend!
please do naturalistic vivarium. I did one for my p. dives and there loving it , naturalistic will also give them the feel of where they once lived , beautiful species😁
My solenopsis invicta colony is dying I’m pretty sure. One queen is infertile and I have only gotten 2 workers during their lifespan. Both died and I got this colony in April of this year
Your consobrinus colony is actually camponotus nigraceps

Just because it’s not consobrinus doesn’t mean it’s nigriceps
@@southernantsYou do you :) I've been keeping ants for over 4 years so I'm pretty sure its correct.
If I'm wrong, what is it then?

Awesome man i like the big tank idea
Always rely on good content 👍
You should try to move them in a big glass tank with a live citrus plant
love to see you saving these animals :)

Maybe I will ;)
Natural setup with citrus tree sounds more ideal for these ants
It’s always a good day when you upload also I love those ants
I love phiedole
Me too!
@@TheAntKeeper yay
For what you use Fluorine?
I'm not sure what you mean? I don't typically add Fluorine into the water.
Thanks!!
I dont think motor oil is safe since like they are made to put in cars maybe use some coocking oil or baby powder
